FULLY hidden, but near it all! 40 wooded acres of private, wooded property within 15 minutes of the best sandy beaches on Lake Texoma, and just over 3 miles from Buncombe Creek Marina where you'll also find The Twisted Anchor with great food and live music. Clean, comfortable cabin is centered alone on 40 private wood acres w/ a beautiful pond out back. You're completely out of view from the next nearest residence, amidst hundreds of acres of surrounding woods & other undeveloped land, making for a uniquely quiet getaway.

3 bedrooms with enough mattresses to sleep 9, or even 11 total with the queen sleeper sofa in the living area. There are 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, central heating and air, hot water, refrigerator, washer/dryer, and more. Take the opportunity to freely explore a tremendous amount of beautiful, wooded property with a long, winding creek and a large, beautiful pond near the house, stocked with bass, channel cat, and bluegill.

4 miles to Dollar General. 13 mins to other restaurants and full grocery store in Kingston, or just 17 min to the Walmart Supercenter in Madill, in case you forgot anything big.

Beautiful and peaceful property! If you’re looking for an amazing relaxing place to fall off the grid for a bit that isn’t far from town this is the place for you. Our family had so much fun we plan to be back next year!

Annual Guys Trip

Awesome place to get away with the guys. Nothing around but peace & quiet. Great outdoor areas & covered porch to enjoy an evening cigar & a whiskey. Plenty of room indoors and out to enjoy your time here. Chris was a great host - quick to respond to questions and makes check out a breeze. If you’re looking for a place to get away - this is it!

Excellent place for a relaxing time in the woods

I stayed here with my father for a couple of days, and we were both thoroughly impressed—it truly exceeded our expectations.From the start, communication with Chris was outstanding. He was responsive, answered all our questions promptly, and provided clear directions to the property along with some excellent local recommendations.The house was well-stocked and in great condition. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and essentials, and the kitchen was equipped with everything you might need, including coffee pods—a nice touch.The location is also a big plus. It’s close to great local spots like Twisted Anchor, several casinos, and only about a 20-minute drive to Lake Texoma State Park, which offers beautiful scenery and enjoyable trails.One of our favorite features was the backyard—there’s a nearly new Weber grill and a cozy firepit. It’s the perfect spot to relax while enjoying views of the private pond just down the hill.All in all, I highly recommend this place. It’s a peaceful, well-equipped retreat with great hosts and a perfect mix of comfort and convenience.

5th anniversary trip

We visited for our 5th wedding anniversary and just wanted a quiet, private stay in a nice place where we could take out the boat and this place was just that. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Striper fishing trip with friends

The property was just as advertised. It was a little tight getting our 2 boats in the gate and turned around! Other than that we really enjoyed staying there!

Beautiful Seclusion

My wife and I are from the Dallas area and wanted to find a genuinely secluded rental not too far from home. This was the perfect fit! Lovely double-wide on 40 wooded acres with no other residences on the property. Huge, nicely-maintained front and back yards. Small lake on the property. The residence is well-appointed and very clean. We had to remove the pad on the top of the queen bed in the master because it was just too soft, but with that little adjustment, the bed was quite comfortable. (Of course, the renter's preference regarding bed firmness is the most subjective thing a host has to deal with). Plenty of extra linens. Super easy checkout process -- the host does all the work. Excellent communication from the host with very clear directions and instructions. We will absolutely have this one in our short list for future rental!

Peaceful getaway for our girl’s trip

We really enjoyed the peaceful seclusion! Beds were very comfy. Host provided everything we needed for our stay and was super responsive to questions. The pond and the wind blowing through the trees was a bonus for me - reminded me of my dad’s farm 💕

Fantastic Weekend

I along with my son and his two boys went fishing on Lake Texoma. This place was 7 minutes from the Buncombe Creek Resort Marina. When we got done fishing it was back to the cabin for campfire, cooking, and enjoying the quite of the woods. The cabin (single wide) was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was stocked with all the pots and pans we needed. Nice fridge. Beds were clean and comfortable. There was nothing to complain about. When we did have a question for our host he was quick to respond with helpful information.

We hated to leave!

Our only problem was we did not want to leave. This is a very well stocked/prepared home. The kitchen had everything needed for meal prep and a charcoal grill in the back yard. The large front deck is amazing. In the back is a fire pit area that had a generous amount of seating provided where you could enjoy the woods and view the pond. The pond was a little low just due to the extreme dry season we have had, but fish were still there and biting. The home is located within minutes of multiple access areas to Lake Texoma. We did venture out a couple days to Catfish Bay area for some swimming, but we would have been content staying at the house for the duration of our visit. The living room furniture, as well as the beds, were all very comfortable. The kitchen, dining, and living area are open to each other so we could all visit comfortably no matter where we were standing or seated. With such an awesome yard to hang out in TV was not watched much, but when it was there were plenty of options to find something on the smart TV. Could go on and on about what a nice time we had and how much we enjoyed this property. Will stop though and just say if you want a perfect secluded place to get away from everything yet still be a quick drive to town, if need be, THIS IS THE PLACE. Thank you to the hosts for sharing your property. We cannot wait to visit again!

Getting to the Country

If you like to get away from the city and get into a great country hideaway, this is the place to go. The property was very well kept, clean, and had everything you would need for a home away from home. Activities and outdoor games were fun, privacy was amazing, the furniture and beds very comfortable. Loved the fire pit and grill outside with the outdoor lights. Property owner/manager was fantastic, helpful, and made the whole experience so easy and seamless so we could just show up and enjoy our stay. Great Property, excellent service, and would highly recommend this place if you love the country like I do.

Peaceful

The property was secluded, private and beautiful! Very well maintained and provided just what we wanted -- a peaceful place to stay. We enjoyed the fire pit and took advantage of the picnic tables every morning and evening. Wildlife was also nice to see, deer and turkey every morning and the fire flies added to the ambiance of the fire pit. Only issue I had with this property was the bed in the master bedroom... The bed was too tall for me to get into (I am only 5'3" and could not sit on the bed. Had to purchase a step stool to get into bed at night.). The bed was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place to someone who wants to get away from it all.

The place is awesome

The lights in the back yard make this place seem magical at night. There is so much wildlife to observe and the stocked pond didn't disappoint. We had a great time!

Family weekend

Had a nice weekend getaway with the family and enjoyed the stay. The location is a bit hidden down a gravel road and then opens up to a clearing in the woods. Wish the pond would have been a bit nicer but it’s Mother Nature and you can’t fault anyone for the low water levels. We still caught some pretty nice sized bass anyway and enjoyed the day. Overall the kitchen had everything needed and all amenities were there, great place for a quick getaway from the city. Hosts were very responsive and would definitely stay again in the future.

Secluded retreat

The retreat was a good escape from busy city life. With no other person or home in sight, you can enjoy nature to yourself from sitting on the front patio to strolling around the pond in the back. The single wide was clean and well stocked. Our host was responsive to our question on the first night.

Short trip

This property is my dream as a some-day retirement home. I purchased it 2015 when it was just 40 acres of completely untouched forest land. My father and I cleared a path through the thick woods out to the center of the property, where my kids and I camped for some time, until I put in the cabin. In 2018, we added a pond, and eventually made the place available for full-time rental, in earnest, around late 2019 and early 2020. I reinvest the proceeds from guest stays entirely back into the property, and so it's always improving!

There really is almost nothing like this place anywhere I have ever been, in terms of the peace, quietude, and beauty that surrounds you when you get alone out here. It is simply beautiful on a level that words and pictures don't describe. I've had that feedback from guests, as well, who told me how they found much more than they expected when they arrived. I hope you have the same experience!
