Experience the Pacific Northwest - Island Style while staying in our lovely vacation home overlooking the Ocean to Vancouver Island B.C. Located on the west side of San Juan Island, this beautiful, privately located, romantic ocean view home was custom built with attention to the creative details. Relax every evening in your hot tub enjoying world class sunsets.

1,200 sf custom designed cedar sided cozy bungalow with a very efficient wood stove to enjoy when ambiance and warmth are the inspiration. Propane forced-air heat provided throughout home. Relax in our toasty outdoor hot tub and enjoy world famous sunsets on the Westside of San Juan Island.
Our Home includes 1 Master Bedroom with King bed, 1 Master Bath, Gourmet Kitchen, Dining, Lovely Living Room with memory mattress trundle bed that can be 2 twins. Separate alcove with twin cot. Wood stove heats the whole house or furnace heating. Separate laundry room.
The Master Bedroom is located on the second floor and includes a King size bed built on a pedestal to provide an ocean view. You can stargaze through your above bed skylight. The Bath includes a large walk-in tiled shower.
The Home has wireless internet access and DISH satellite TV service & DVD Player and stereo player. 56' HD tv in living room.
Best of all is whale watching as this stretch of shoreline has been identified by a whale museum biologist as a feeding area for Orcas. Watch whales pass by from the deck as their PODS come within a few yards of shore, hunting salmon. Use the provided binoculars to see every detail.
There is plenty to do in the neighborhood with beach access at Snug Harbor Resort. Bird watching is superb, with resident Harlequin ducks and a nearby active Bald eagle's nest. Watch fox, otter, and deer close by, or pack your favorite beverages, a great book, and a picnic basket, and relax at one of the many close County, State, National and Historic parks.
This 1200+ square foot vacation rental location is truly the Pacific Northwest at its finest.

Quiet, serene, phenomenal view, well-stocked kitchen appliances and utensils that made cooking dinner easy, warm and well furnished, with a hot tub: what more can you ask? I hope to stay here again someday!

Clean, well stocked, beautiful view, great hot tub, and wood stove is wonderful with plenty of wood. Bed upstairs difficult to get in and out of and kind of dangerous for short or older people.

Everything was perfect! Such a beautiful house by the water. The kitchen was well stocked for me and my partner to cook meals for the weekend. Amazing views of the sound, islands, and birds while we sipped our morning coffee. The hottub was so nice and relaxing in the evening. Couldnā€™t have asked for a better weekend getaway on beautiful San Juan Island

Property was clean, adorable, and in a fabulous neighborhood. The owner was communicative. Loved the view. As a side note, we were expected to clean the house ourselves to the standard we found it or to pay for cleaning, which I was not expecting. Additionally, the owner wanted us to pay her directly, not through the VRBO site. I did so after speaking with someone who lives on the island and knew her. But otherwise, I would not have been comfortable with direct payment to a stranger. The stay and the view were lovely, the expectation list and rushed cleaning and laundry so we could leave by 8:30 am were a turn off. I booked 8 months in advance. If that was described in my agreement, i didn't realize it. Overall, thankful for a peaceful stay.

Everything was spic and span! The living room faces NW perfect for viewing sunsets. We forgot our binoculars and they have 2 pairs! We stayed downstairs in the trundle bed for the views. Kitchen has all the cool gadgets. We had coffee outside in the hot tub each day!

The house was lovely and comfortable, and there was a beautiful view of the Sound from the deck. The neighbors were closer than we expected and made some noise, and some neighboring dogs did a lot of barking, some after midnight, which woke me up, so I got almost no sleep our last night. The property manager mentioned some kind of barking deterrent she forgot to turn on, so they know it's a problem. The location was central and made exploring easy.

This wasca fantastic stay on San Juan Island. The cabin was clean and we had no issues. Host available and responded quickly for any questions. The view from balcony was amazing, we saw whales and seals right from the balcony. We had an awesome time here.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen was very well stocked, which made it easy to cook meals without needing to bring much along. The space was perfect for a coupleā€”cozy but comfortable. The view is absolutely fantastic, and our favorite part of the trip was spending time out on the deck just relaxing and taking it all in. Saw Orcas from the deck. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful getaway.

Beautiful house and property! Well stocked and had everything we needed. Well taken care of. Do be aware that to get from the parking spot to the house you have to go down pallet-like steps. The giant bed upstairs was very comfortable! We saw lots of wildlife (tons of birds, some deer, bats) but no whales from shore. But if youā€™re looking for somewhere to see them this would be it. Would love to stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage on the west side of SJI. The home was exactly what we were hoping forā€”clean, comfortable, and full of charm. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind, with beautiful views right from the property. Booking through VRBO was a breeze, and working with Karen made the experience even better. She was responsive, kind, and incredibly easy to communicate with throughout the entire process.The weather during our stay was perfect, which gave us plenty of time to explore San Juan Island and soak up all the natural beauty. We saw so much wildlifeā€”deer, eagles, seals, and orcas! Friday Harbor is just a short drive away and full of great restaurants, shops, and friendly people.We couldnā€™t have asked for a better getaway and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The perfect spot

My niece ( who is only 4 years younger) and I did a road trip to Canada and San Juan Island. I'd been to the island a few times before, but never overnight. This house was the perfect place to go out and explore from, and then to come back to later in the day. Glass of wine watching the sun set over the islands, enjoying our books in the hot tub, and just relaxing. She used the upstairs bedroom, while I used the trundle bed in the living room.

Great Location - Amazing View - fully equipped . . . However, the house was Not clean! Floors Dirty, table tops Sticky, and the King Bed was 5 feet off the floor, making it uncomfortable and potentially DangerousPlus - they ask you to Self-Clean otherwise they charge you from your damage deposit check . . . Very unusual and something we were not aware of until check-in
