36 Oaks Retreat is conveniently located in Alleyton/Columbus - conveniently located between San Antonio, Austin, College Station, and Houston. The 6-acre property is unassuming as you turn onto the dirt driveway from the IH-10 access road. The beauty quickly unfolds as you begin to see the sprawling 200 year old Live Oaks, the charming guest cabin, newly remodeled ranch-style house, and pool area. Check out the historic Columbus area and enjoy the activities on site.

Main House: Enter through the gorgeous sunroom and catch the vibe of this country yet modern southwestern-inspired home with 3 bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms.

Guest Cabin: Country, quaint, and full of character with real barn doors separating the living area from the bedroom.

Pool Area: Massive pool (4'-10' deep), hot tub, outdoor kitchen with large gas grill, small charcoal grill, bar, pergola, fire pits, and plenty of places to lounge.

Play Barn: Complete with ping pong, darts, cornhole, and hook & ring. Volleyball and tether ball are setup outside of the barn. Newly built 2-stall bathroom.

Live Oaks: Sprawling live oak trees, estimated to be over 200 years old are all over the property but concentrated in the back. Catch the breeze and some shade under the Oaks during the day, and continue enjoying the view at night once they light up.

Stage Barn (separate rental): Host your special event and party like rockstars on the 2-level stage. PA system and lighting are provided and the audience can enjoy the entertainment from the handcrafted whiskey barrel table sets.

Absolutely loved the stay!

Everything was great! The pool is impressive with it being 10ft deep! My kids absolutely loved it! The adults hung out in the play barn with many different games to play! All our needs were meant from grilling equipment to kitchen appliances etc. Communication was always available and the info desk was EXTREMELY helpful! We will definitely be coming back!

36 Oaks Retreat Wedding

WOW!!! We cannot say enough about 36 Oak Retreat, owners and staff. Absolutely amazing! We were able to plan a wedding here sight unseen from Colorado and it did not disappoint! Elicia and Ryan could not have made our special day any easier for us. The property really speaks for itself! Gorgeous! It was the perfect back yard wedding and barn reception and everything we dreamed it would be. It has literally everything you need, and it is a perfect place for weddings, families and kids. You stole our hearts with this little retreat. Thank You Thank You Thank You. We will be returning. ❤️ 🌳💍❤️

Wonderful Family-Friendly Getaway

Elicia was great - she checked in on us multiple times to ensure our stay was enjoyable and we had everything we needed. The property is beautiful! Only a 45-minute drive from Cypress (which is great for two toddlers) and has lots to do, including swimming, fishing, games, etc., for the adults and kiddos. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely keep in mind for future getaways.

Gorgeous Ranch

The property is so peaceful and extremely well stocked! We had our children and friends stay with us and it was plenty spacious with something for everyone to do. The fire pit at night was fun for the kiddos who wanted s’mores. All in all it was a great family vacation because of the place. Highly recommend!

Excellent property with every amenity we needed. Host was extremely accommodating and helpful, responded quickly to texts even prior to our stay so we could pack what we needed. Would highly recommend for a group gathering, multi-family friendly event or even a private wedding venue!

spacious home, large island in the kitchen. Outside Kitchen area is nice but could use some cleaning. The trees are Beautiful, pool is wonderful. We brought our own umbrella's for outside by the pool since we didn't see any in the picture and glad we did. There is no shade near the shallow area. It is a wonderful place to stay and sure wish it was a bit closer for us. :) You will enjoy your time here.

Amazing choice for spring break!

Stayed here for a spring break trip with 10 college friends; the property is amazing and absolutely perfect for a chill trip to relax with your friends. The wifi was not great at times, which made watching movies a bit more difficult, but overall an 11/10 experience!

Great experience!

My husband and I got merry here on 9/10. Our guests had plenty of room to spread out and we used the guest house as our honeymoon suite. Over all we had a blast and can’t wait to stay at this property again.

Awesome property!

Great place to relax and get away! The property was nice and big so you don’t have to worry about being quiet at a certain time which is nice. Would definitely recommend staying here if you have a large group of people. The owners are also very nice and make the process very easy and are very accommodating!

Amazing & Beautiful

We had such a great time staying at this property celebrating my 30th Birthday! The host (Elicia) was so sweet and super responsive. Everything was clean and accessable & plenty of room for everyone in my group. The pool and hot tub were fantastic, we spent so much time out there. We definitely want to try to stay here again!

Enjoyable 4th weekend

Our family enjoyed all the facilities the pool was great the hot tub the kitchen the bads were comfortable the air conditioner was good the only negative that we have at all is the number of bathrooms other than that the stay was enjoyable

Perfect for family time

We were a group of 3 families with small children and teens. It was fun for all and enjoyed the pool most of all on these Texas hot summer days! Elicia was amazing checking in on us and responding to us right away. Thank you 36 Oaks!

I can’t say enough good things about this property. It’s absolutely stunning. Just had my wedding there and it was absolutely perfect. We had a great time bringing in New Years 2022 at 36Oaksretreat. Plenty of room for everyone, and beautiful manicured grounds. Fishing was excellent! The pond was a little close to I-10, but didn’t bother us. Would certainly recommend staying here!

Perfect wedding party retreat

The owners were fantastic to communicate with! They were extra accommodating to my husband and I and our wedding party! We absolutely adored the home. It was such a cool oasis. We want to plan another trip back just to stay here again!! Couldn’t recommend enough!

Amazing delight!

We chose this VRBO due to the accommodations it offered for our family that was traveling to Schulenberg for our son’s wedding. The house, property and host exceeded our hopes and expectations from the spacious kitchen and bedrooms and the refreshing pool to the accommodating and promptness of Elicia that took care of a problem that arose during our stay. Things happen and you can’t plan for everything but she was amazing in making sure that the issue was taken care of right away. You can’t ask for more!!

Perfect family retreat

This property was a wonderful place to spend a few nights with family. Plenty of room indoors and out and perfect style interior to make it feel like home. The pool was perfect for this summer heat and the games in the game barn was great to hang out and have some family fun. Rooms are spacious and clean. Kitchen had all the tools we needed except for a blender. At least we couldn’t find one. The guest house was a great place for those who want to take a break from the noise. Overall I would highly recommend this place for family trips but I’m sure would be perfect for a friends trip as well!

Wonderful property! Highly recommended

I went with my family and friends to celebrate my 40th birthday, and we had a wonderful time! The property is large with gorgeous trees and fun games; the pool is very nice; and house is spacious, laid out well, well stocked, and clean. I would def return to stay here. The Property Manager was very informative, helpful, and kind. She even left a little birthday treat for me as a surprise. I have no negative things to say about this property. Highly recommended.

My husband, Ryan, and I dreamt for years of a retreat on a few acres - a special gathering place for our large extended family. We are pleased to offer 36 Oaks Retreat to travelers and LOVE hearing about our guests' experiences during their stay! Some of our favorite things in life: family, food, coffee, whiskey, nature, and music! You'll see evidence of that throughout the property! Outside of operating 36 Oaks Retreat, Ryan is a Middle School Math Teacher and I am in Sales with Amazon Web Services. We have an 12 year old son, a 10 year old daughter, and a 6 year old poodle.
