This rental is all about the view of the Intracoastal Waterway. Park your vehicle at the front door.Leave your boat at our dock or put on our lift and drive into Swansboro ln 5 minutes. Our studio is 4 years
old with all new beds furniture and appliances. Fishing crabbing and throwing your cast net will provide countless hours of fun on the dock. Our home is located across from Hammocks Beach State Park which you can be transported over to the beach for a fee. This is a quiet and safe neighborhood to bike and walk around the subdivision which is surrounded
by water.This is kayaking Paradise with Wildlife ramp 5 minutes away to launch your boat. Our home is located on the Intracoastal Waterway which has the most magnificent views of people kayaking boating and camping on the uninhabited islands across the Waterway. Your room is a 22 x 26 room that will sleep 6 with two queen beds and a queen pull-out sofa sleeper for 2. A private bathroom with tub and shower. A 65 inch TV with washer and dryer, internet and direct tv is included.A full kitchen with pots pans and utensils are provided.A full sized refrigerator,microwave,coffee maker,toaster and outside charcoal grill are included.(charcoal not included).

We very much enjoyed our stay at Gaylen's place. It is exactly as described and even more. Amazing views, great location and a beautifully decorated space. Well equipped with everything you need as well of lots of extra personal touches. The lift was perfect for our boat. Gaylen was very helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be returning just not soon enough.

Our family of 4 had an excellent weekend away at Galen & Kathy’s tranquil home. Welcoming hosts, exceptionally clean, beautifully maintained home, yard and dock. They truly have thought of every detail to make their space a home away from home. We can’t wait to visit again!

Gorgeous view and very relaxing

This was a special fishing trip for me, my mom, and my 10 year old son. The studio had all that we needed. The dock and water were great for boating, fishing and just relaxing in the ocean breeze. My son caught a different fish species each night along with crab, shrimp and minnows. The hosts were helpful with information on fishing, where to eat, and fun places to visit. Galen dropped us off at a sandbar for a few hours and picked us up. We will return soon. Loved every minute and we did not want to leave!

Awesome Host

Loved this place. Great views of Bear Island. Place was nicely decorated, beds were awesome and they provided so many nice touches (coffee with creamer and sugar provided, shampoo, etc). The Host was super nice and provided great fishing advice.

Great weekend

Galen and Kathy were awesome and made us feel welcome. The studio was great and the on wager environment was perfect. My boys fished off the dock and had a blast. We even took a boat tour with Galen, he is a Captain extraordinaire. If your looking for a great spot and you love the water, look no further!

Excellent!

This place is perfect for a couple or family with kids. They’ve included all necessities and even some very nice extras (cotton balls, Q-Tips, laundry detergent, games, local menus, etc.). Galen helped us get our boat launched and went out of his way to be helpful with our boat. The neighborhood and particularly the water access and view are so peaceful. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful property and awesome host

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was absolutely perfect for a quick visit to family in the area. In fact, now that we have found this property, we may come in town more frequently. The host was responsive to questions and requests in chat, and very welcoming. The view from the dock in the back is beautiful, and the property was decorated very nicely. Beds are comfy, property was spotless, and a friendly host. I wish we had more time to enjoy the intracoastal waters and dock. Maybe next time!

Perfect Getaway

My husband and I brought our boat and stayed for our 22nd anniversary. From the moment we walked in it was perfect! Very clean and decorated so cute. They leave all the amenities you normally have to purchase and even had happy anniversary flowers. The owners are super nice and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Having the use of the dock was so nice and convenient. If we are in the area again we will definitely be back!

Our most favorite vacation family vacation so far!

Our first non- oceanfront vacation rental was awesome! We were welcomed into this beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable studio stocked with necessities. We spent a few days at Emerald Isle letting the kids play in the ocean but It was so nice to have other options since the water and private dock are right outside in the back yard. We fished off the dock several times, the owner was available to take us exploring by boat- one night he boated us to dinner at Boro(which was amazing) and we texted him when we were ready for him to pick us up- so fun and easy! This was by far our most favorite family vacation yet.

By far the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in!

THIS is by far the best VRBO we’ve ever stayed in! From the cleanliness, stocked items, location to the hospitality of Galen and Kathy this place is the best of the best. They go above and beyond to make sure you’ve got everything you could possibly need. Kathy has decorated the place beautifully and stocked the room with everything from coffee and creamer to individual ice bags in the freezer for your cooler. She has thought of it all! Galen was more than accommodating and helpful with getting our boat in the water and on the lift. We cannot wait to book our next trip!

Perfect getaway

We booked this very last minute for trip before we met up with extended family at the beach. The space was perfect for 4 (2 adults + 2 teens). The back door opens up to the dock and inter coastal with the most beautiful views! Galen could not have nicer helping us get set up for fishing on the dock. We took advantage of his offer for a boat ride and Galen was very knowledgeable about the area and cautious bc my elderly mom was recovering from a hip replacement, even to time the boat ride right with the tides to ensure a smooth ride! Downtown Swansboro is a quick car ride with great waterfront restaurants and shopping. This place is a great hidden gem, we will definitely be back!

Precious Paradise

I was looking for something close to home, to have a quick get away for my husband and myself as a surprise for my husband for his 40th birthday. He was confused when the directions only took him 7 miles from home, but was thrilled when he saw the space and the VIEW. We enjoyed the sunset on the dock, went fishing, grilled, relaxed inside on the comfortable furniture, and had everything we needed for a perfect weekend. This space if beautifully decorated while still feeling cozy, super clean and well stocked with all the essentials. Hosts were so friendly and helpful and really made us feel at home. 10 out of 10, will defiantly recommend!

Best rental we have ever stayed at

The owners were so welcoming and gracious in allowing us to use just about anything at the house . Galin even met us when we arrived and helped my husband get our boat into the water and also helped load it up when we left (which is great since I, the wife, know how to help with zero of its). They were the most thoughtful out of anyone we have ever rented from. The pictures do not even do the place justice. It is even prettier in person. They even have zip lock bags full of ice in the freezer ready for your coolers. They have thought of everything you have plenty of privacy and almost forget they are there until you need help and they are there instantly. They made a couple recommendations for food and other things and all hit the spot. They did not let us down the entire time. I can not wait to go back. My boys fished their hearts out and had the best time. They already want to go back..

Everything we needed.....and a lot more..

I could write pages and pages about everything that my family and I liked about this stay, but it really comes down to this: Galen and Kathy are truly the best hosts we have ever experienced. They are truly wonderful, caring, and genuinely good people. From the moment we reserved the studio to the moment we left, we felt at home, like we we're with family. That's truly hard to find these days. The studio was perfect for what we needed. Spotless clean, all the amenities and great view of the waterway and the dock in front of the property made life so much easier for us, since we didn't have to take our boat out of the water every night. The location is also perfect since Hammocks Beach Park is just minutes away by boat or ferry. This place is truly beautiful. They were always asking us if we felt good and if we needed anything. Galen gave me great advise on fishing in this area and shared his vast knowledge of boating with me, and I'm looking forward to navigating the different areas he recommended. I just wish i had more time!! Kathy was always so hospitable and caring and allowed us to use all the amenities that you would find in your own house. And they have the cutest little dog (Gracie), which we fell in love with. Needless to say, we're definitely coming back here. This is truly a hidden gem!! Thank you Galen and Kathy for being such great hosts!! See you soon!!

Intercoastal location

Nice location away from the crowds. Dock to fish off and the host was very helpful even helped the kids throw nets and fish. 5 min to beach and all attractions. Will visit again. Very clean.

Home away from home!

Galen and Kathy were wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to make our vacation memorable! The studio is beautifully decorated. The location is perfect for fishing and kayaking. With a quick boat ride to Hammocks Beach not only was it a more private beach but we got to see a family of dolphins along the way!
