We had a fantastic stay at the Gray Whale! Our host was communicative, gave us detailed instructions, and check-in was straightforward. The property is beautifully decorated, spacious, and clean. We truly felt at home with three bedrooms, full kitchen with modern appliances, and large living room with a gorgeous view. We enjoyed every detail, down to the electric fireplace and large collection of nostalgic books. Appliances, wifi, and heating all worked perfectly. The location - right on the coast - is unbeatable. During our daily walks we saw deer, sea lions, and other creatures. This was a wonderful trip, and we absolutely hope to stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lovely home, nicely furnished with classic style, plus a super well equipped kitchen. Host had taken care to ensure there was enough of everything from throw blankets to paper goods. Trails are easily accessible as is town from this northern Sea Ranch location. We will be back.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Just arrived home from our 3 night trip at The Sea Ranch! What a beautiful spot! The Gray Whale was perfect for our family of 6. The views from the house are spectacular! Two of the rooms have beautiful ocean views and the other has a meadow view with deer roaming every morning and evening. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. its a quick walk from the deck to the coastal trail which winds along the bluffs. So much beauty! The deck was my favorite part to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. One night we watched the sunset from the hot tub! We highly recommend The Gray Whale and can't wait to go back!

Great Location --- Good Layout

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Del Mar Point essentially a cul de sac, so it is fairly isolated from traffic --- car and foot. The house was well designed with beds and baths on separate sides of living room/kitchen, Ample storage space for a week's supply of cooking ingredients. Great views of the ocean.

Also, it seems unfair to not allow renters to drive to the property in a small Mercedes van if that is their care of choice.

Locked ourselves out the first night but Beach Rentals got us back in within minutes. So nice they let us vacation with our dogs. The kitchen had every pot, pan, tool and appliance you could want. Very nice home away from home.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very courteous and helpful staff. The house is in a great location but sadly in need of updating. The kitchen had roaches which once discovered made us want to leave. We should have asked to be moved but accepted a very small discount. We would not stay here again

The homeowner is so sorry that you had such a bad experience with the cockroaches. Please know that we have addressed this with an exterminator. We have done several things to update the house and have just now added new patio furniture. We will continue to do more updates during this next year. Beach Rentals Management

Well equipped kitchen and nice privacy on the north side of the house. House is in great condition. Beach Rentals is really great to deal with--a vast improvement over online services like Vacasa and Airbnb.

We loved the barbecue upgrade to a gas Weber rather than the charcoal one we’ve used in past visits.The office staff was very prompt in taking care of the hot tub malfunction and the TV. We lan on visiting the Grey Whale again!
