Welcome to our Underground Earth Home by Living The Dream Cabins! Located in the Hocking Hills region, this unique home is built into the side of a hill on a private 25-acre lot. This space has been newly renovated and is designed for gathering family and friends, featuring an oversized sectional, conversation pit, spacious outdoor seating, and more. Just 10 minutes to Rock House or Cantwell Cliffs, and 15 minutes to Downtown Logan or Old Man's Cave. The options for entertainment are endless!

I stayed here for a short visit with family. Everything about this rental was wonderful. It was unique, comfortable and clean. The provided an online guide that clearly communicated everything we needed to know about the property. What I loved most was that there was plenty of everything for larger groups - silverware, plates, cups, living room seating, table seating and outdoor seating. This is nothing the hosts can control and is more like advice to future visitors to Hocking Hills: Cellular data can be spotty in this area, so make sure you download offline maps or know where you're going before heading out.

Great Location

Right in the middle of everything you want to see in hocking hills. Iā€™ve been coming for years and this was the best rental experience. The earth house is wonderful and youā€™ll love it

Thanksgiving stay

Overall the house was nice with good amenities. The close proximity to the parks was nice and we did some good hiking. However, the floors were filthy. Proven by light colored socks worn.

Moms trip

House was very unique, cool, and spotless! The owners were amazing. I noticed they didnā€™t have an iron so I asked them if it was maybe somewhere I didnā€™t look. They said they donā€™t have one at the property within maybe an hour they went and bought one and dropped off. Highly would recommend!

Incredible Fall 2024

We really enjoyed the property with the large yard and the very unique house set in the earth. We appreciated the cleanliness and that everything worked i.e. hot tube, showers and appliances. The fire pit was enjoyed by the entire family too!

The Earth home was incredible!

We stayed for a hiking weekend with family and it couldnā€™t have been better. Communication with Ian was great and quick. The home was clean, modern, and charming. We stayed with 4 kids and 4 adults and there was plenty of room! It was a very relaxing weekend at the Earth home!

Perfect spot for a weekend stay

My friends and I stayed at the ā€œearth homeā€ for a weekend to celebrate our 40th birthdays. We enjoyed the house and it fit us perfectly (3 couples and 2 singles). The large gathering room was nice, the hut tube was fun and the central location was perfect for hiking, wine tasting and horse back riding. The only negatives with the house was there were only 2 bathrooms, with 1 being in her master bedroom (which left 6 people to share 1 bathroom at times). Also everyone felt the beds were too hard but this is something that could easily be fixed by the owner.

Great house

The house was great and had everything youā€™d need for a stay away from home. We used the fire pit both nights. The outdoor space was very relaxing. We didnā€™t use the hot tub but it looked nice and clean. The house was cute and stocked with all the essentials. We had a fun time hiking Hocking Hills which was about a 15 minute drive along with most of the restaurants youā€™d want to hit. Overall great space both inside and out.

Beautiful property

The Earth House exceeded our expectations! It's a beautiful property. Perfectly secluded and relaxing. Being all one level (other than sunken game room) was just what I needed with mobility issues while recovering from an accident. The interior and outdoor space is very modern and up-to-date.

When we pulled in the driveway of the Earth house, our host was sweeping the huge entertainment area outside. A giant pergola housed a hot tub. A horseshoe-shaped seating with fire pit. A table seating eight people and gas grill with a concrete countertop to act as a seating area with stools. It was unbelievable. As we entered the interior of the house, which had sliding glass doors from the bedrooms, and a huge atrium playroom. There was a huge living room, dining room, an ultra modern kitchen. The playroom was sunken at ground level. It had a beautiful table made out of a slab of wood and blue epoxy. It looked like a river. Comfy cushions and shelving unit full of toys and games. The living room had a humongous black sofa that fit most of the room and a big screen TV. All the furniture and tables were handmade creations. The bedrooms on the front you were able to exit the sliding glass doors onto the patio area. There were two master baths and four large bedrooms, with fantastically built beds and built -in storage areas. One bedroom had bunk beds for the kids. We had such a wonderful time cooking our meals on the grill and sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful scenery. The hot tub was used everyday.... Most enjoyable! We played games in the playroom every night. And enjoyed the fireflies twinkling in the night sky and tree cover. It was really magical. We couldn't wait to get home to Tell our friends. We spent three wonderful nights Highly recommend

One of our favorite spots!

This property is the best, so unique and has everything you need. The yard is big, house is lovely and so close to some of our favorite hiking spots. This was our second stay and we'll likely be back!

What a gem!

I can't say enough about the Earth Home--what a great place to call "home" for a few days! It is surprisingly bright and cheerful for an underground home, and so well-appointed. The beds were all very comfortable, and the living space was cozy as well. The hot tub felt amazing after hiking each day. We felt very lucky to find such a great (and dog-friendly) stay in such close proximity to restaurants and Hocking Hills trails. We highly recommend this rental, and would 100% stay here again!

Awesome getaway

Perfect Holiday Getaway!

What a great place to stay for a couple of days with our grown up kids, their spouses, grandkid, and even the pups! They had everything we needed for the Christmas including a decorated tree. Very clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. There were towels for the hot tub and plenty of wood for the fire pit. Weather was rainy but we didnā€™t mind because it was cozy indoors with plenty of space for everyone to hang out and lots of light that came in the huge windows. Thank you for an amazing stay!
