CedarShores is a beautiful newly expanded and updated “true lakeshore cottage” that is ready for you to come, unwind and enjoy the scenic beauty of the "Quiet Side" of Door County —-it’s wildlife, beaches, unlimited activities, many seasonal festivals, galleries/shops, restaurants and the ever-changing views and majestic beauty of Lake Michigan.

There is a Newly Expanded rock step down opening in our shoreline retaining wall--- equipped with a safety handrail which allows easy access to our awesome beach and the shallow water sandbar along our shoreline that extends quite far out into the lake. Our family/guests have enjoyed swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding etc directly in front of the cottage

Our ‘Expanded and Renovated’ cottage now features a large open ceiling' gabled porch covering the entry door area--- which opens into a wide entry hallway including a 10' wide double door closet.

The cottage has a spacious bright bathroom with a big 'walk in shower’ (instant hot water) and extra safety grab bars. There is also a 2nd bathroom (tub-shower) adjacent to the bedroom area

A separate laundry room with a washer and dryer, deep utility sink, cabinets, and hanger bars.

There is an off-set, open and uniquely lighted stairway to the large 2nd floor loft and sitting area which has a queen size bed, 'built in" twin bed and a separate sitting area with a 42" TV, The open loft balcony overlooks wooden beams that transverse the 'great room' area below and features a special window with an absolutely magnificent open view of Lake Michigan.

The living/dining room area presents a 'great room' effect with a wide open lake view and access to the dining and kitchen areas. The outside egress to the large concrete lakeside patio is through a custom four section double slider door with a LED lighted step down which also has large safety handrails on each side.

The kitchen area features—-1. Large open counter spaces with well organized & stocked cabinets and drawers. 2. A new large five (5) burner stainless steel gas stove with a convection oven. 3. A built in microwave. 4. A new stainless steel refrigerator with an ice maker using “filtered” water and a dishwasher. 5.There is a 5 cubic foot Chest Freezer in the Utility Room.

Pendant and LED ceiling lights combine for a brightly lit kitchen/dining area. The large dining area table has comfortable seating for six (6) with four (4) additional counter/bar stools.

The cottage features seven (7) LED lighting zones and controls, new furnace, four (4) ceiling fans, WiFi compatible remote controls for heating, interior lighting, water softener and a LOREX exterior security camera system.

There are two large double steel door storage lockers on the South side of the cottage.

CedarShores cottage bedrooms feature 2 queen beds, 2 twin beds and a twin bunk bed. There is ample closet space available in each bedroom. We provide lots of pillows, extra blankets and downy comforters.

A large 50" screen SMART TV serviced by CHARTER/SPECTRUM Cable includes 125 channel selection (ESPN, NFL and college sports). There is a 2nd large 42" TV in the loft sitting area.

The WiFi/High Speed Internet Service supports job type computer work, remote educational learning and additional Internet based services.

There is a AM/FM and ‘weather/news’ radio (indoor/outdoor) Portable Super Speaker Unit- which is Bluetooth & I-Phone System Synced- ( can also be used outside)--- and unlimited local/long distance phone service.

A wood burning fireplace for seasonal use, (free firewood provided), new Lazy Boy couches and comfortable reclining chairs.

LP gas & charcoal grills, a 6' foldable table and patio beach/yard furniture are also provided including several seating choices for the patio and beach. Chair & lounge cushions are also provided.

There is a large pole mounted outside
drying rack for clothes, beach towels, life preservers—available May-September.

Wake up to take your coffee out on the lakeside patio---or sit out by the lakeshore and quietly begin the day watching the sunrise, circling Sea Gulls OR, if the winds are from the East/North East, the powerful sounds and sights of Lake Michigan's waves and surf.

Continue your day shopping, exploring, charter fishing, hiking, swimming, kayaking, golfing . . . the options are endless in DOOR COUNTY! Or just choose a comfortable beach/patio chair--a book from the interesting and newly refreshed cottage library and work on that sun tan.

Spend special evenings out on the large lakeside patio or seated around the Beach🔥fire box (unlimited firewood provided ). Enjoy the sounds and majestic beauty of Lake Michigan.

Long handled forks are available for roasting marshmallows, s’mores and hotdogs etc

CedarShores is located exactly (1) mile North of Jacksonport---close to the well maintained public park/sandy beach and playground(clean restrooms).

Jacksonport has BLEY's Little Grocery-a MUST stop/visit, Port A Pub, Island Fever, Jacksonport Bakery, 'Lil Bit of Coffee and a Kayak-Paddle Board- Surrey Bike rental service with lots of rental/use and delivery/pickup choices.

Waseda (organic) Farm Store, located just two (2) miles North of the cottage, is a great place to visit and shop.

Now is a good time to book your 2025, Spring, Autumn Fall Color and early Winter dates as CedarShores is OPEN 365 days a year.

We require–Seven (7) night - Saturday to Saturday weeks in the PRIME TIME June-September months..

Also there is a four (4) night minimum rental/stay requirement other than in the PRIME TIME June-September months.
