An Extra Hour of Sunshine was built in 1955, improved in 2011, and completely re-imagined in 2020. Located in Magnesia Falls Cove, the home features 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, multiple work from home spaces, well-appointed and equipped kitchens (indoor and outdoor), smart home technologies, interior & exterior dining, and a two car garage.

Enjoy the remodeled backyard with restored pool, new spa, firepits, misting system, outdoor shower and outdoor kitchen. All interior and exterior furnishings are brand new and curated by H3K Design. No expense was spared when creating this luxe mid-mod gem.

This premium home is priced accordingly and will not disappoint as evidenced by perfect reviews across all platforms. But remember to consider the following when justifying the price. The rental price of this home is all inclusive (almost), and it covers the following items that are often additional fees at other similar homes.

* FREE POOL HEAT to maintain comfortable water temperatures
* FREE EV CHARGING with a level 2 chargepoint charger located in the garage
* INTERIOR CLEANING is included every 2 weeks and is mandatory with all reservations
* NO ADDITIONAL CLEANING FEE (unless we are bill an excess cleaning fee)
* NO PET FEE on up to 2 pre-approved pets.

A Perfect Stay

Wish I was allowed to give this wonderful hideaway more stars. Everything about it was perfect... convenient location, beautifully designed, impeccably furnished and clean, fantastic and private pool area, and Chad and Trey were incredibly thoughtful, communicative hosts. Hated to leave!

Five star plus house with five star plus owners

We spent the past two months in this wonderful home with our dog and we could not have been happier. The house has been redone beautifully and both inside and outside living spaces are exceptional. The kitchen is very well equipped with brand new appliances and the bathrooms are all tastefully appointed. The outdoor pool area, bbq station and landscaping are all beautifully done and we had our own mini orchard with lemon and grapefruit trees. The owners were the most attentive and accommodating hosts we have ever experienced and they were an absolute pleasure to deal with. We loved our time there and we thank Trey and Chad for everything! Fabulous house and stay in the desert!

Firstly, Trey and Chad have to be the best hosts/owners on the planet. They are amazingly thoughtful- from welcome gifts, to cookies mid-stay, to an anniversary bundt cake delivered! They were consistently checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Such great service! Secondly, the house was perfect for us- two adults and a pre-approved dog. The outdoor living space is wonderful- the photos don't really do it justice. We lived out there. We used the pool and outdoor shower tons! The primary bedroom suite is very comfortable and includes an office area which was a nice get away space. The kitchen, though small, has everything you'd want and need. The outdoor grill got lots of uses an alternative to cooking in the oven. Thirdly, the house is so convenient to everything we cared about. I'd say it's a perfect location in the Coachella Valley. All in all, An Extra Hour of Sunshine is the best rental we've stayed in, and we've rented many times all over the world. Thanks so much Trey and Chad. We loved it!

Private Oasis

We had an amazing time at An Extra Hour of Sunshine. The communication with Trey and Chad was superior from the time we reserved the house through the end of our stay. It is truly a luxury to have a local concierge - Fred had everything set up upon arrival, checked on us during our stay (without being intrusive) and made certain we knew how to get a hold of him, if we needed anything. The house and pool area was exactly as promised, and expected from the photos. It has been beautifully designed with great attention to detail down to the backdrops of the two office spaces...simply stunning. The neighborhood is walkable and close to many trails, restaurants, coffee shops and more. It's close to everything yet extraordinarily quiet - we never heard traffic noise whether in the house or enjoying the backyard. Most of our time was spent in the backyard. A truly private oasis with space to relax, swim or have a meal with a view...and we did it all. We look forward to returning next year for another amazing experience at AEHoS

Amazing Stay

An Extra Hour of Sunshine is the best vacation rental experience we have ever had. It is designed and decorated beautifully to make the most of the view from every room. This was our second stay here, so we know what we are talking about! The backyard is exceptional. Everything you need for the perfect experience. It is very private, the pool is heated to the perfect temperature, a hot tub, an outdoor shower, and lots of places to relax, read a book or visit with friends. Most of our time at the house was spent in the back yard. The kitchen has great appliances, great pots and pans, and sharp knives! All areas of the house are extraordinary, and the work area is no exception. I worked the entire time we were there, and it was by far, the best work-from-home set up I have ever used, including my own home. There is no need to ever leave the house and backyard, but if you find the need, the area is safe and walkable. Neighbors are friendly and restaurants, stores and hiking trails are all a short walk from the house. Part of our incredible experience is due to the property concierge, Fred. Fred is a gem. He communicates when needed but is not intrusive at all. He arrived at the house within minutes when we locked ourselves out of the house and got us back in quickly. I also want to make certain I mention how great of hosts Trey and Chad are - excellent communication from the time we booked through our arrival back home. Their hospitality is bar none. We arrived at the house to find a generous welcome gift and halfway through our visit we received a package of delicious cookies. Such unexpected gestures that really mean a lot. We hope to return for a third visit to An Extra Hour of Sunshine!

Extra Month of Sunshine...

We have been traveling the coutry for the past 10 months. We stayed at "Extra Hour of Sunshine" for a month. This is by far one of the best experiences we had. I would call it "Extra Month of Effort". First, Chad and Trey were exceptional hosts. Their communication before during and after our stay was top notch. They had several nice welcome gifts, which were unexpected. In addition, they have a property manager, Fred, who instantly responded. During our stay, if we had an issue it was addressed. I told Trey that we were considering moving to Rancho Mirage. Trey spent time with us discussing their decision to buy in rancho Mirage vs Palm Springs on a long hone pcall and a 90 minute Zoom. He was awesome. He spent his time giving us input and guidance. Such an amazing man. He genuinely wanted to help/ The home itself was perfect. High-end finishes, appliances, cutting-edge bathrooms, backyard & pool. Everything was designed well and the construction was high quality. The furniture was nice and in great condition. The bed was really comfortable. They had evey kitchen appiance and utensil that you could need. Thye provided toiletries and fluffy towels. The house was extremely well maintained and clean. "Extra Hour of Sunshine" is first class. We loved it. The best location that we have stayed over the past 10 months. And the best , most caring hosts that we have encountered. Our stay could not have been better. I would not hesitate to stay there again of to recommend them to anyone looking for a high quality experience. WE will likely be back.

Life happens! And we are only able to use the home a few months a year due to crazy schedules. When we are not in residence, we wanted to make it available for 28 day rentals for guests to enjoy. We work hard to provide you a terrific experience during your stay. For this reason, we also ask for the Winter Season that you try to stick to calendar month bookings (i.e full month of January, not 15th of a month to 15th of a month). This way we ensure we can accommodate as many folks looking to escape winter without any gaps. Come stay with us in Magnesia Falls Cove and enjoy all that Rancho Mirage and the surrounding area has to offer!

After renting many homes in the Coachella Valley over the years, we decided to purchase this home in our favorite neighborhood as our second home. No expense was spared as we remodeled the exterior of the home, including restoring the pool, adding a spa, lighting, outdoor kitchen, etc. The home is now our personal escape in our favorite neighborhood.

Bedroom 3 is a media room / den / guest bedroom. The bed is an amazing Italian designed murphy bed that has the same quality mattress as the other bedrooms in the home. With a built in couch and convertible coffee table / desk this is the ideal media room or second office space for multiple work from home guests. Guests staying in this room have access to the powder room bath, but will need to make arrangements to shower in the primary or guest ensuites.
