The Space:

Welcome to the beautiful home of 13 Loon! This home features magnificent views of the Deschutes River and Cardinal Landing Foot Bridge that can be enjoyed from both the upper and lower decks. In addition, guests will be delighted to find that the trail is just steps away from the back deck, making it easy to enjoy long walks or bike rides along the river.



Additional features include:

All the bedrooms in this reverse living home are located on the main level, providing guests with their own private sanctuary. The master bedroom features a king-size bed, newly remodeled bathroom and access to the lower back deck. Other bedrooms include a king bedroom, queen bedroom, and double bunkroom on the main floor.



Upon entering the home, guests will be greeted by beautiful high ceilings with accented wood paneling and updated furnishings. The well-equipped kitchen is perfect for any chef, with forest views and all the tools needed to create culinary masterpieces. Family time

Beautiful home…..lots of stairs…… Great layout for different activities. Quiet area…..lots of fun watching people on the path walking or cycling by.

Thanksgiving at Sunriver

This property meet the needs of two families including 2 young adults and 2 teens. Plenty of space to spread out or gather for games. Plenty of plates and dishes (great for a large Thanksgiving Meal) including serving platters, crockpot. Extra full sized refrigerator in the garage too!

Great visit

Everything was great except cleaning. There was evidence of pets in bunk room downstairs, dust and cobwebs in high up places, management never got back to us for a way to close up skylight in bedroom. Nevertheless, a wonderful getaway with family!

Lovely location

Lots of room for multi family or multigenerational getaway with one bed/bath in one section of the split level layout and 3 rooms + 2 baths down a different set of stairs. (Lots of stairs if mobility is an issue). Beautiful location near the river but on a very public path and there were lots of biting insects when we were there in late March. There were a few minor issues that felt less welcoming— bikes but no helmets, relatively few cooking utensils in an otherwise well stocked kitchen, and some maintenance concerns like the toaster causing the kitchen outlet reset buttons to reset.

Could have been better

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been renters in Sunriver for over 30 years and as much as we love it, the expense is becoming too much when you have disappointing vacations. This has does not have a/c. We knew that going in and were prepared for it. Unfortunately when a house does not have windows you can open for a cross breeze and the supplied fans are not adequate or in good working order it makes for a very miserable experience. This house is also extremely lacking on kitchen dishes and supplies. When a house sleeps 8-10, you need more than 6 forks and 4 glasses. Management should do a better job of checking this.

Overall, good location.

Bed frames in two of the bedrooms were either falling apart or were very wobbly in the case of the bunk beds. Something should be done with these before one of the guests is injured The one king bed has long screws or nails that stuck out on one of the side rails. One of us cut our hand slightly reaching underneath.

Too many stairs

The house was attractive, but clearly not a house for older people to share- 3 sets of stairs to get anywhere. Also the sunken living room is nice but two wide shallow oak steps into living room pose a trip hazard as they blend into the floor. The game table was nice to have. You can see the River through the trees which was nice and the decks well- furnished. The furniture throughout the place was made for large people, even the beds were way too high to get into without throwing yourself in! They were comfortable once you made the leap. This house was too expensive for what it is and not a good fit for older adults.

Catherine, Thank you for telling us about your time in Loon 13. We're glad you found the home in a beautiful location and enjoyed its amenities like the game table and outdoor decks. We're sad this home was not a great fit for your group due to the stairs. On the home's listing, we use many photos and the home's description so our guests can get a good idea of the home prior to booking, which does show that this is a two-story, reverse living house with staircases. With these listed and shown, we are unsure how to improve the online booking experience. Please know that we have a reservation team waiting to help guests with special home requests so you can book one that will be comfortable for you. You can even call them after arriving and they will help to move you to a new rental if you find the home isn't a good fit for your group. Thank you for allowing us to host you. We hope you'll give us another chance to deliver the 5-star stay we aim to give all our guests.

Location, location, location.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Arrival was simple and clear. House was clean and organized. We had a group of 9. 6 adults and 3 teens. The home was just right for our group overall. At times the kitchen was tight with more than two people cooking or cleaning. The decks were nice, especially the lower deck during the heat of the day, as there is no shade on the upper deck. The bedrooms worked out well, but there are a lot of stairs, so anyone with physical limitations may struggle. One bedroom just has a single sink in the room which we found odd, yet convenient for washing up if the adjacent shared bathroom was occupied. The air conditioning did not work well at all, but we got by with fans and keeping the drapes pulled during the heat of the day. The downstairs stayed cool, but upstairs did get very warm. The best thing about the home is the location right next to the bridge. We enjoyed watching the sunset each evening from the top of the bridge. Amazing. Also very convenient location for bike trails and access to the river,

Great weekend getaway

Our family was 3 adult couples and 2 dogs enjoying a long weekend together. Starting with the Pros: For us, the house was a great layout with 2 master/king suites and a 3rd queen bedroom with it's own bathroom (there is a 4th bedroom with 4 bunk beds). Two comfortable living areas made for easy separation of activities or togetherness - depending on what we wanted. The deck was great with a beautiful river view and of course, lots of deer. There were plenty of clean linens, soap, extra pillows, etc as well as clear instructions for all amenities. The Cons: After running several loads of dishes with the top rack coming out dirty, I discovered the spinning arm on the underside of the dish rack was installed upside down. This meant gravity and water pressure had totally clogged the holes with nasty, rotting food debris and more importantly, it was spraying the lower rack of dishes (not the upper). We had already emailed Village Properties photographs of a dirty bathroom at check-in - to which they responded right away saying they would "get back in touch promptly" and then gone completely silent with zero meaningful follow-up. We decided contacting them again was pointless and fixed the dishwasher ourselves. There was also a momentary power failure/surge during out stay which appeared to have fried the cable TV box in one of the master suites. We thought it odd there wasn't surge protection strips. Although the house provides lots of beds, the hot water was totally insufficient for even 6 adults and the heater was inaccessible to be adjusted to meet our needs. All in all, we had a great time together and would recommend this home to friends. This said, when staying in a Village Property in the future, we will hold them accountable for better service.

A perfect place to celebrate a birthday weekend

The house is just beautiful to spend a relaxed weekend. There are bikes facilitated on the property to take a short ride around the houses nearby.We loved playing the table tennis as well. We spent an entire evening in the hot tub since it was pretty cold when we visited. It was so much fun.

A wonderful White Christmas

Our family was simply amazed at the house and location. The building allowed all the various groups to be in separate areas when desired. The immediate location to the trails and river was an additional bonus. The fact we had a lot of snow added to our enjoyment. We have other friends and family now asking for details on this property.

Great getaway experience.

The property was better than expected Well equipped. Just had some trouble contacting someone regarding the hot tub ( we were following the instructions and to be safe we called the number listed which said to call property manager.). Unable to reach anyone and left ménage. Received call back but the maintenance guy never showed We were uncomfortable about the situation as we wanted to be respectful.

Not a good rental for hot summer weather. No air conditioning

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: No air conditioning. The house was an oven in the hot weather. This information was hard to find on the website. 17 items in list of amenities had nothing to do with the house and were jumbled with things to do in the area. We left early because of smoke from fires prevented us from opening windows to alleviate the heat. Fans did not help.
