We enjoyed our stay! The cottage was cozy and welcoming! The hosts were wonderful to work with…promptly responding when we had a question. The hot tub is a plus! We had beautiful weather and were able to enjoy it several times. We hope to return.

Very relaxing stay! Very clean and had everything we needed. Our dog, Bella was comfortable as well. Would recommend staying here, very close to restaurants, shops on the Parkeay, and downtown Blowing Rock! Great location. We will be back!

Great Mountain Experience

Grapevine Cottage is a genuine mountain cottage, not a spec builder's 2020 reproduction. It is cozy and well furnished. The owner has done an incredible job of adding modern conveniences such as Jacuzzi bathtub, outdoor hot tub, dishwasher, microwave, etc. without detracting from the cozy cottage ambience. The weather was terrible, so we spent a lot of time in front of the fireplace watching TV, playing board games, or reading. It was very relaxing and peaceful. There were starter supplies for toiletries, dishwasher soap and other necessities. I had a question for the owner, and she responded immediately and was extremely accommodating regarding my request. Grapevine Cottage was the perfect little cabin for our getaway.

Better than most

We have stayed at a number of places around the Blowing Rock area over the past 10 years, and all of them have plusses and minuses. When we arrived, the house had not been cleaned. However, upon contacting the agent/owner, a cleaning team was sent within 30 minutes, and they thoroughly cleaned the house. The WiFi cut off promptly at 10PM every night. The TV ran off the WiFi, so there was no TV between 10PM and 8AM every day, and there was no reliable cell service without it. We were told that the cable company was doing work on the system, and that this was a temporary situation. Speaking of TV, it is connected to ROKU, which has a large selection of FOX stations and not much else. You can get a decent selection of movies, but they all come with loads of commercials. Bring some DVDs with you if you plan to watch any TV. On the positive side, the house is well maintained, the kitchen was adequately stocked with utensils, pots and pans, glasses and china. There was a nice selection of spices and herbs. All the major appliances were clean and in good condition, which is not always the case in rentals. The master bathroom was excellent, with two sinks and a jacuzzi. The hot tub is great, and even though there is a house right next door, the tub is located on a deck behind the house, that is reasonably secluded. The neighborhood is quiet, surrounded by woods, and yet it is only a few minutes from downtown Blowing Rock, and the Parkway.

Cute cottage

Overall a very nice stay. Well stocked with everything we needed. Disappointed in dirty outdoor furniture(could not use). Also, the cottage needs more lighting(too dark). This is out of your control, but we feel we should say there was a nearby cabin occupant/owner who lets their dog wander off leash and it spent quite a bit of time outside our cottage to do its business. We enjoyed our stay and felt very relaxed with all the amenities. Thank you.

R & R in Blowing Rock

Couldn’t ask for a more cozy, quiet and relaxing place to stay. It’s location is close to shopping and yet away far e ought to feel the mountain effect. It was wonderful to use the hot tub at night and sleep in peace afterward.. We can’t wait to come back next year..
