If you are looking for a relaxing mountain getaway, with great views, on a paved road that is convenient to entertainment, restaurants, and shopping, then this is the place for you! We are located on Appalachian Ski Mountain, between Boone and Blowing Rock, approximately 0.3 miles to the slopes at Appalachian Ski resort and 1.8 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway. This home offers beautiful long range mountain views from the main living areas and covered deck. It is equipped with central heat/air, is fully furnished, has a well-equipped eat-in kitchen with seating for 6, and a spacious living room with a stone fireplace with gas logs, and a large (50-55”) flat screen TV. The home is approximately 1000 sq. ft. and has a 2-bedroom 2-bath split floor plan (will sleep 6 with the use of a pull-out sofa). One bedroom is equipped with a king bed, dresser, nightstands, flat-screen TV, and has an attached bath with tub/shower combination. The second bedroom is equipped with a queen bed, dresser, nightstands, flat-screen TV, and an attached bath with tub/shower combination. Basic cable is provided in the living room and high speed internet (WiFi) and NetFlix are included in all rooms. Washer/dryer is in the unit. This unit is on the 2nd floor of the building. The entrance has stairs, but once inside, all rooms are on the same floor. There is paved access and parking for a maximum of 2 cars. Sorry, no smoking.

Beautiful and cozy place views from balcony were breathtaking. Location is close to all the tourist attractions, Tweensie Train, shopping and even a taste testing winery something for everyone. The only thing I would say negatively is description of place on Vrbo was a little confusing it’s listed as a cottage and to me, the place is more of a condo or apartment, but a very nice clean place we really enjoyed our stay

Great Ski Vacation

Property was less than an hour away from all ski locations and 1 min drive to Appalachian Ski Resort. Perfect spot for serious ski enthusiasts.

Enjoyed our visit to Blowing Rock. This home was very well located to get to parkway, downtown Blowing Rock, hiking, and kayaking. Clean and quiet. Recommend staying here!

This place was absolutely spotless! The beds are super comfortable and it’s nice and cozy. The location is fantastic, 5 min to Appalachian Ski and not far from Boone. We really enjoyed it! Highly recommended!

Great location for skiiing

Property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Close to the ski resort so we could come and go as we pleased without a long drive. Wifi and cell coverage a little spotty, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Steep hill to enter, so be prepared. Great place overall!

Perfect Location for Skiing

The condo was exactly as described. Check-in was easy and the owner was very easy to reach before and during. We brought our son to ski and this was the perfect location. You could walk to Appalachian Ski Mountain if you wanted to. And it's a very short drive into town. We would definitely stay again if we come back to ski. Thanks!

Beautiful views, clean and comfortable

This place was fantastic. I wanted to give it 4.5 stars but app wouldn't let me. This home was immaculate, comfortable and lovely. The incredible view was a surprise. We came up to visit my brother and if I could bring my dog, it would behind my go-to place. Thank you!!

Well Maintained Comfortable and Relaxing Area

Once checked in we immediately noticed the awesome views from the porch. We could see prety far I'm guessing at least 20 miles. We had very easy access to Boone and Blowing Rock and just truely enoyed the area. At the end of each day we looked forward to getting back and relaxing on the porch as the sun set. Excellent bedding and kitchen supplies. I'm looking forward to visiting this property again.

Near Appalachian Ski Mountain

Brenda was very easy to deal with. The Condo was set up for anything you need. The full-size kitchen had everything you might need. Quite comfortable for 2 couples, or a small family. The unit was clean and the views from the balcony are amazing! Do yourself a favor and grab a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise with the fog in the valley. A fabulous place to unwind. Also convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock and Tweetsie!

Ski Trip

We changed reservations from a hotel in Boone to this condo at the last minute as weather forecasts called for 8"+ of snow. As a side note, the forecasts were not accurate. Surprise, surprise! However, we were glad that we changed as the location to Appalachian Ski Mountain is excellent. Only about a 1-2 minute drive. The condo was clean. Directions for use of the fireplace, TV, internet, kitchen and check out were clear. The view from the deck was great. Additionally, we were thankful to have the extra room versus a hotel room before and after a day of skiing. I would absolutely recommend this condo for anyone that wanted an alternative to a hotel or anyone with a family of 2-4 that wanted a peaceful location for skiing, hiking, visiting Blowing Rock/Boone, etc.

worth the price

Overall, a good experience, although there were also a few negatives. The place was accurately advertised, clean and affordable. We came for a ski weekend, and this place is very convenient for Appalachian Ski mountain. Although it was only 0.3 miles by road to the parking lot and lodge, it is NOT an easy or safe walk and I would recommend driving. We walked it one day when it snowed and I wasn't overly confident of my van's ability to get up the very steep and curvy driveway, but the road was narrow, windy and did not have a shoulder or good place to walk next to the road. One of my favorite things was the view out the back of the house -- it was stunning, especially the morning sunrise. If the weather was warmer, I would have loved to sit out there more. A few of the drawbacks: 1) the internet was marginal at best. I could pick up the signal on a tablet, but my phone only picked up the internet signal about 25% of the time, and the cell coverage was also poor. 2) The house is well stocked with pots/pans/dishes/silverware, but lacks any extra cooking supplies beyond salt and pepper. Be sure to bring EVERYTHING you needs including oil, sugar, spices, condiments, etc. Also, bring paper products. There was plenty of toilet paper, but there were no paper towels or napkins, so we ended up having to use coffee filters in a pinch. 3) The house is a duplex (this is the upper unit), so be prepared that you will hear your neighbors some, even if they aren't particularly loud. It is not overly disruptive, but startled me a handful of times. 4) the fireplace didn't work. I'm sure this is fixable, but after a bunch of failed tries, I decided it wasn't worth the effort. 5) the driveway is crazy steep, so if there is snow or ice, you would probably need 4 wheel drive. We lucked out, but it made me nervous. Overall, I would recommend this place and the cost was appropriate for what you get.

Winter getaway

Our trip up to Blowing Rock was a great start to the holiday season. The home was just right. Plenty of space for us all. The location was a short drive to skiing and easy access to town. We enjoyed hot cocoa on the back porch with a beautiful view.

Excellent location and friendly owners

We had a few questions (about the entry code and problem getting gas fireplace starter lit) and the owners immediately called to help us through. The condo is super close to Appalachian Ski Mountain, which made our visit so convenient and fun!

Great location and experience

This property had everything we were looking for in a quick weekend getaway. This is a condo unit, taking up the entire 2nd floor. The units have separate entrances and we could not hear the occupants downstairs at all. The property manager communicated proactively, ensuring that we had everything we needed. The view was absolutely stunning. Location is perfect, right between Boone and Blowing Rock. We will be looking to stay here again next time we are in the area.

First family ski trip

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed staying at the condo. It was very clean and had everything we needed. It was down the street from Appalachian ski resort which was so convenient. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend.
