Our privately-owned, SIXTH FLOOR condominium (VRBO 21787) has magnificent ocean views. It has a High End Remodel and is truly a 'Home Away From Home' and a great Maui Vacation Rental.

Kihei Akahi Resort Condominium is located in the southern part of Kihei, just off the edge of Wailea Resort Area. The grounds are meticulously maintained with blooming flowers everywhere and the private lanai is perfect for dining or watching the sunsets. Some of Maui's finest swimming beaches are in this area. Pictures of Kamaole Beach Park 2 are shown on our website.
It is a soft sand beach, that gradually slopes out and is great for both swimming and snorkeling.

The resort also features two pools and a free tennis court on the premises. Around the pools are barbecues and refrigerator for a convenient snack or drink while sunning. Golf is nearby, and many shops and restaurants are within walking distance. South Maui is a quiet and peaceful area, yet the 5 star hotels of Wailea are just minutes away.

WE PRIVATELY OWN: three condos at Kihei Akahi. In the C Building C-604 and In the D building we own D-504 which is a one bedroom condo, and D-602 which is a two bedroom condo.

All of our units have been redone. They all have new kitchens, new baths with walk-in showers. new king size beds, air conditioning and free wireless internet. They all are elegantly furnished and well coordinated. Everything you need will be there, including beach towels and beach chairs. Most important - they are maintained with a very high level of CLEANLINESS. ALL of the feedback on our condos comes back that they were very clean.

Great view. Air con was nice, seems hotter on 6th floor. Could update the bed pillows- not comfortable at all. But no other complaints. Loved having the ice maker in freezer. Good kitchen amenities- blender, coffee maker etc.

This is our second stay in this unit and it does not disappoint. We love having our coffee and breakfast on the lanai while taking in the ocean view. The condo has plenty of beach gear for your stay. The bedroom and living room are comfortable and the kitchen is perfect for cooking your own meals. The location is unbeatable. The condo is directly across the street from Kam 2 and walking distance to restaurants, bars, and shopping. We really enjoy the complex as a whole and this unit in particular.

Had a wonderful stay in this very clean maintained condo. Nicely decorated and upgrades tastefully updated. The only things I would have liked was not using a key to enter condo and having shopping carts (like my previous rental) to bring groceries up to condo. Thank you Joan.

Celebrated my 75th birthday hiking around the crater of the Haleakala Volcano!

The 8-day "stopover" visit in Maui on our way from British Columbia to Australia was magical. Superb location with three lovely beaches within walking distance. Our apartment was equipped with all we needed, and the king size bed was very comfortable. Ocean view from the lanai. Highly recommended. Eva and Phillip, now in Australia

Amazing location & views

Close enough to hear the waves, but none of the Kihei evening hubbub. View was incredible from the 6th floor. Condo size was perfect for 2 & very well maintained (maybe need new toaster b/c it was touchy). Kitchen had everything we needed and enjoyed the large king size bed. Mahalo!

5 Star Condo with ocean views in Kihei

Clean, quiet and convenient location 1 BR condo in Kihei. Close to restaurants, shopping and across the street from Kam 2 beach. Great ocean breezes and views from the 6th floor lanai. A bonus, this condo has AC to help cool it off on those hot days. I mostly used the ceiling fans and opened the door to the lanai for the ocean breeze. A reserved parking space near the elevators is another plus. Owner responsive to questions. Highly recommend this ocean view condo. I will stay here again when on Maui.

Wonderful condo; fantastic location

Unfortunately we were in Maui when the fires broke out. It was a bittersweet trip this year. My heart broke for the locals who were living through the nightmare and loss. Our condo was pleasant, clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed for our daily walks across the street to the beach. The bed was extremely comfortable - i usually don't sleep well when traveling, but had no trouble sleeping here. The grounds were kept clean and were well tended, and the pools and bbq grills were cleaned daily. This is a great condo in a great property. I recommend it and we'll definitely stay again.

I was very impressed with my stay. The current pictures of the property don't do it justice. It's modern and upgraded and very clean. I love the view, and I was happy it's on the top floor. There's a great view of the ocean, and it's right across the street from the beach. Plus there are tons of shops and restaurants and other beaches near by. When I come back to Kihei, I will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful 1 bedroom condo on 6th floor. Clean, very comfy king bed, lanai with ocean view, and most of what you need for a fantastic vacation! The host was wonderful and very accommodating. Highly recommend! Kihei has many close beautiful beaches to enjoy within walking distance too!

Nicely updated unit. The air conditioning was great! Good mountain and ocean views from lanai. Property is well maintained, with beautiful landscaping. Located within walking distance to several dining and shopping options. Having the beach across the street is awesome, as well as the 2 swimming pools on property.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay here. Walking distance to all the great southern Kihei beaches and restaurants. I was impressed with how super clean the condo was. And the grounds overall were immaculate. The only weird thing was the AC. Itā€™s nice that there are units in the bedroom and living room but theyā€™re on a timer-thereā€™s no thermostat. We donā€™t cook while on vacation so we canā€™t speak to the kitchen/amenities or the grilling area but they looked nice. The pools were lovely and thereā€™s a nice shower where you can rinse all the sand off. We found all the residents and workers to be really polite and helpful. I would definitely choose Kihei Akahi again.

Customer service is everything

The place is as described when it says itā€™s elegant. The location is amazing. However my interaction with the host not good. It should be noted you have no control for the air besides turning it on. Reached out to Joan to only get a hasty short remark saying there was nothing wrong. She only cared to reach out an inquire more once I set a thumbs up to her. She lied saying no one ever complained about the air before either which is funny the review a week before we arrived on august 9 someone did complain. Just be honest accept critiscm. I never felt the need to reach back out to Joan because why would someone want to listen to anyone lying to them and trying to deceive them. Will neve return to Joanā€™s condos. Will look for someone else on this property becaise the property is amazing. Oh Iā€™m sure sheā€™s going to say some remark saying she tried reaching out and that the place has ample cooling. Nope from Arizona where the heat is way worse and we keep our own AC at 74 Joan so donā€™t make assumptions.

Lovely condo and great location

This location was perfect. Kam 2 was the beach across the street which we loved. The property was wonderful and came with some great things we wouldnā€™t have thought to pack. Only thing we had a little trouble getting the place to cool down much. It does have ac just not super strong.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Joanā€™s Maui home. It is very comfortable and well appointed. We had everything we needed. There are four brand new BBQā€™s. We grilled one night , there wasnā€™t a basting brush so we bought one and left it. The location is a five minute walk to Kamaole Beach II. Itā€™s one of our favorite beaches, you can snorkel, boogie board or just hang out. Weā€™ll definitely look to book here again when we plan our next Maui vacation. Communications with Joan were excellent also.

Enjoyed our stay

Location is great right across from the beach. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed including beach gear, kitchen and bathroom supplies. Bed was comfortable and the place was very quiet. There are several restaurants and markets within walking distance. Note that the balcony does not face the ocean directly so (this time of the year) we were not able to see the sunset from the lanai. The view is still gorgeous with the volcano on your left and the ocean to the right and you can watch the sunset from the beach across the street.
