Perfect vacation rental!!

House was perfect for our family. Location was perfect, on the lake for fishing. House came with everything we needed for a week. Golf cart got a flat, they had it fixed in a couple hours with no interruptions to our stay. Communication was great. Would definitely stay here again!! I’d buy this house if it was for sale!! I recommend this stay for anyone!! Only thing I recommend is to supply paper towels, toilet paper and dish soap, we picked some up at the local store and made it work.

Location is perfect however the house is in need of a major cleaning inside and outside plus updated. When we arrived there was a dish rag stuffed in the garbage disposal and the queen bed comforter and pillow was stuffed in the washer. The couch had sand in all the crevices and coffee stains on the cabinets. That’s how are stay started. Cobwebs cover the outside railings and lights and drink stains were all over the outside furniture. Even with the perfect location and the use of the golf cart which was awesome,we will probably look to stay at other VRBO locations for our next visit.

Great house for families

We enjoyed our time at the house. It was clean and the layout was perfect for us. The property manger was great and helped us when we had a few television issues.

Family Vacation

This was a very nice house. It was clean with room for my adult children and their friends. I loved how it was on a pond with a fountain. It had a nice sitting area under the house with chairs, swings and a tv. I stayed there most of the time. It even offered a golf cart. We loved it and hope we can stay there next year.

The house was nice to stay in for the most part, but there is a major lack in communication and pest control. The day we arrived, we were sitting on the couch and noticed several small ants on the couch that had crawled in my husband and daughter. We looked in the couch and there were lots of small ants in the couch due to the large amount of food inside the couch. I contacted the owner and she stated she would get in touch with pest control immediately. She told me that she would let me know of the time they would arrive at the house and never heard from her the rest of our stay. We arrived on Thursday and left on Wednesday. My husband and I had to clean out the entire couch, turn it up, treat the couch, and vacuum all around the area. This is not something the renter should have to do while in vacation. There were also multiple Palmetto bugs found in the house all throughout the week. Spiders and cobwebs all over the porches, awnings, and in the sitting area below. My son even walked into a spider web. The day prior to leaving, the owner messaged to let us know of what needed to be completed prior to leaving the property. I explained of never hearing from pest control or them coming by the house. She never responded at all as if she could of cared less.

Clean, convenient, but ZERO communication

For starters, this property is exactly as listed. What you see is what you get. The house itself was clean and my only complaint would be these water bugs that I personally saw in the lower patio area. The location of the property is excellent though. Very convenient and quiet. Every room had either cable or a firestick which was very nice. The house itself is small but we did not find it difficult to move around in there. Here are my complaints about the property…. The upper floor porches need a roof. Unless it’s early morning or late evening, you will not be sitting out there, trust me. The sun just beats down on you. The golf cart needs some work as well. The radio wiring is bad as the radio would turn off depending on the position of the unit (yes it moves because it’s not bolted in). The golf cart is very hard to stop due to the brakes. Lastly, the communication with the owner is absolutely horrible. I have stayed at Ocean Lakes multiple times and the owners I had were very informative and helpful. This owner is not at all. For starters, there is an express check-in process. Most owners will make you aware of this process as it saves you time and money. This owner did not. I also had to ask for the passcode to the lockbox where the golf cart key was after checking in. I messaged the owner on the way down and no response. Zero communication during entire planing process and entire trip. We had a great time but I would not stay here again.

Beach Vacation Ocean Lakes

We have stayed at OL several years. Feel the owners have worked hard to have a nice home to rent out. The house is in a nice location and inside was laid out well. Sadly we had a very hard time communicating with the property manager. Which started when we added the golf cart to our stay. I emailed at least 4 times requesting verification of the golf cart. I then called left a voicemail no call back. so I called again the Friday before we left, and got someone that confirmed the cart. I was sent the confirmation and signed the agreement the Friday before we left for our vacation. We were told they would come to take care of a bees nest, but never showed up. We also noticed an issue with the soffit leaking water which could really cause an issue for the homeowner. However we never had anyone come out and check it. This did keep us from using the deck on the one side by the master bedroom, as well kept us from using the below deck as water was dripping non stop. ( it was hot and no rain the week ) so not sure why it was leaking as it was. I know people get busy and things happen but to not even text back or do any follow up- we felt as if we followed all the rules of the house and the check out process. Would of liked the same in return. Hoping the owner does some follow up and finds out the issue with the soffit/guttering before it causes them long term issues with their home.

Property was great. I didn't know to bring blankets when linens were provided. I was a little unnerved when the house would shake for I've never stayed in a house on stilts. Overall house was clean and a great location. Property was close to all attractions in the area. I really did not have any communications with the property manager.

Great place !!

The house was nice and in a good location. We fished off the deck We fed the fish and the turtles. I would recommend this house to anyone. We have stayed at Ocean Lakes before in another house but this is the our favorite place to stay. Tawnya was good to help with any of my needs. We will be back next year.

Nothing better than listening to the tranquility of the fountain from the top deck, or under the house. Better yet, fish from the deck. This is a newer home in the M section which is centrally located to all the amenities.
