Whether you're planning a summertime getaway to Lake Tahoe or a fun-filled, wintertime ski vacation, this spacious, two-story home is ideal any time of the year. This home features multiple living spaces, an updated kitchen, a furnished deck, and plenty of room for up to 8 guests.

Located in a quiet, residential neighborhood, walking distance to the beach, this home is just a quarter-mile from the shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe and only 11 miles from Northstar ski resort.

The main level features the updated kitchen, living room with large TV, dining area and a queen bedroom. The mid level room features a sofa and a TV for private television watching and includes sleeping for 6 more in this family friendly recreation room. The entire family will enjoy staying at this comfortable home complete with WIFI and three cable TVs equipped for Streaming and Blu-ray/DVD players. Guests will also find a great selection of movies, books, and games, PS3, plus a large, furnished deck with a gas grill.

Location:
Our home is located on Tahoe's North Shore in the town of Carnelian Bay between Kings Beach and Tahoe City. Carnelian Bay offers access to beautiful beaches, biking and hiking. You are only a 10 minute walk to pet friendly beach, 7-11 mini store, miniature golf, and great restaurants. In winter you will enjoy being close to popular ski resorts and snow shoeing trails.

Parking:
Parking is available for a maximum of 3 vehicles. All cars must park on the driveway. Garage access for one car available. No street parking per county ordinance.
Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.

Other things to Note:
* Renters must be 25+
* This is a non-smoking home.
* Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 8 adults.
* Use of the BBQ is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Use of outdoor furniture is not guranteed in the winter.
* Like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this one does not have Air Conditioning. There will be fans available for your use!
* Your safety matters. This property may features exterior security cameras. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras will continuously record video and sound while guests are in residence.

Fantastic Place!

Wonderful stay, the house has a ton of room and beds, our host was excellent and extended our stay an extra night when we had a big snowstorm and hwy 80 was closed.

Great Location and Space

We stayed here in December with our kiddos and small dog. The location was fabulous and the house was super cozy. More than enough space for the family. Property management was very responsive when we had questions. There were lots of little spaces but would be hard for multiple families unless someone wants to sleep in the romper room (which was huge by the way) with kiddos. Would definitely recommend.

Summer stay

The property was good to stay at for a family of 5 and while we were able to manage with our 18m old, it wasn't as convenient for traveling with an infant. Was a nice neighborhood and convenient location overall.

We arrived late at night. No pre inform lock code provided. We have foreign mobiles. Required to use a local mobile to call. Next day, power tripā€¦ due to busy period, we stayed I. Whole day waiting to have power restore. The furniture are buts and pieces put together. Thank you for clean beddings.

Older Cabin in GREAT location!

This was the perfect vacation house for our two girls and their friends. My husband and I stayed in the down stairs bedroom while the rest of the kids (16-20 years old) stayed in the upstairs dorm style bedroom. Only a couple issues included that the WIFI didnā€™t work (in all fairness the snow and weather could have been a factor and I didnā€™t call the rental company do help- it was kind of nice to be off line) and not enough towels but we just washed them in the washer and dryer and I also could have called the rental company but didnā€™t so thatā€™s on me. Itā€™s definitely an older cabin but it was the perfect place for our situation. The rental company was very communicative and very helpful. And the SNOW was amazing!!

Pine smells galore

Nice local and enjoyed front room, kitchen and deck area. Apple tv was nice. internet worked well except last day got a little spotty and not sure what happened. some pepper to complement salt would have been nice in a pinch to put on bbq. I swept deck areas but was heavy due to pine pollen, neighbors were partying and a bit obnoxious into the late nite but it was pre 4th of July and not shocked to hear

Great Centralized Location for Families in North Lake Tahoe

We really enjoyed our stay here. The upstairs room with multiple beds was perfect for the kids. The extra fans were definitely helpful and helped the place stay relatively cool. The outdoor deck with table and seating was awesome for meals. There is very little space available for indoor seating during meal time. However, this is not an issue during summer when it is relatively warm. I imagine this would be a bigger issue during winter. Some extra bath towels would have been appreciated. Overall, a great property for families that is centrally located to both Kings Beach and Tahoe City and a short 20 minute drive to Truckee. Thank you!

Do not stay here!

The biggest complaint was the immediate smell of urine once we entered the property! Stains were found on the bedroom carpets and pet hair on all the bed linen. The unit was obviously filthy and not cleaned prior to our stay. We had to air out the cabin as soon as we got there. Our family purposely stayed out of the rental all day to avoid the condition of cabin. We own a small (non-shedding) dog that traveled with us and was never left alone in the rental, which was originally why we chose a pet friendly vrbo. The rental agency is now trying to stick us with a cleaning bill for the carpets! I would advise anyone looking in the Tahoe area to avoid this group of rentals. This is what we get for sucking it up and not complaining the moment we arrived.

Cabin at Carnelian Bay

Cabin reminded me of our old family cabin in truckee. Great location and very fun to have all beds in one room. Creates a different level of bonding laughing and telling stories. The weather that weekend was a white out blizzard so we were looking forward to decompress once roads opened and were finally plowed and accessible. The weather knocked out the cable lines so there was no internet or tvā€¦ it made things better in the end because everyone had to play games , play in the snow or talk! šŸ˜‚ The drive way is perfectly sloped for sledding. We made a huge snowman on the back porch. You can walk to a very nice cafe for breakfast/ lunch. The beach is a block away ( maybe 2) The house and the beach are pet friendly. My dog had just as much fun as the rest of us. I would love to return! There were a couple issues but were promptly dealt with and mostly resolved. Dealing with Cindy was great she communicates well. I canā€™t wait to return to the house and have another lovely weekend with the family.
