The place was easy to get in and out of. Very clean and welcoming! Pet friendly, with small dog park area. The only reason I didn't give it a 5, was some small fixable stuff. The place desperately needs some kind of window covering in the living space. The morning sun is absolutely blinding. On top of that, there's a mirror that then shoots the beams in another direction completely taking away any chance of seeing the TV. Alsi, there needs to be a broom and dust pan. It's coastal...lots of sand. Also, needs kitchen towels .we would definitely stay there again, as I said, easy fixable stuff.

I had a wonderful experience ad the owners were very helpful! I needed some quiet, quality time to work on a writing project and it was perfect. I brought my dogs and they acted like it was their second home. Quiet and loving spot. The view was just what I had hoped for. I will definitely go back!

Started off not getting the access code from the host. After arrival called went straight to voicemail, waited 10 minutes and we then get a call with the code but then only to be told the place wasn’t yet clean. Said “the cleaning crew” was 30 minutes away, an hour later there wasn’t a cleaning crew but the host themselves. Keep in mind this is 8pm, Sat around for 45 minutes for them to clean the place. 3rd issue go to bed and the bed frame was broken. Ended up having to sleep on the floor in the small living room. We messaged them at the time it happened with no response. Contacted them again in the morning with no response. Vrbo and the Vrbo supervisor both called host with no response. It wasn’t until late in the afternoon they responded and said they’d come fix the bed, by then Vrbo graciously enough booked us a room at a nearby hotel. I went and read reviews and it appears this is an issue with this place numerous people complained how the place wasn’t ready at arrival and other people complained about the brown bed frame. When you pay for a cleaning fee and more than a hotel you expect the place to be in a lot better condition than this. Would at least expect to get a refund for the last night we didn’t stay and the cleaning charge. Really put a big damper on our trip.

The overall accommodations were great. There were a few things that were annoying. The air conditioner was noisy, the ice maker was noisy and the construction in the unit next door was disturbing early in the morning. We loved the view and enjoyed sitting and watching. Thanks, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. .

We went for our baby moon and it was so relaxing and calming. It has the perfect view. The owners stayed communicating with us, and it was a very quiet property. The best thing was the tower fan In the bedroom if your thinking about staying here, def do it!!!!

Cute place, Just wasn't ready..

When we checked in the host was still cleaning and didn't leave for another 1/2 hour. Also when he left there was a bandaid in the toilet that wouldn't go down...We had just arrived from the beach with our 9 month old baby and needed showers ASAP. The linens were not ready, no bed sheets and zero towels. For 2 whole hours..... We had to use a dirty beach towel to bathe our baby and ourselves. Power went out during the shower (no one's fault) Then when we finally got into bed at night it seemed as if the bed frame was not put together properly, the whole bed shook and made loud noises with every move we made, waking up our baby several times through the night. Very disappointed as this was our first beach trip with our baby and my husbands birthday. The cleaning fee should have been refunded at the very least. Nothing was extended towards us, not even a real apology.

Beautiful view!

The condo was cute and the view was perfect!! The ac didn’t work as well as we would have liked. It stayed 78 until about 2 am and the cooled down. Will be back but will bring fans!

By the Sea Getaway

We loved staying here. It was close to everything we needed. We enjoyed the balcony with the best view, especially for morning coffee and a glass or two of wine at night. Dax and Brett are wonderful hosts. I highly recommend for your next getaway. Wish we could have stayed longer.

First time, great experience

This was our first time using VRBO, and it was a fantastic experience! The condo was fresh, clean, and felt like home from the moment we walked in. While the building itself is older, it has a lot of charm, and the staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and helpful. The host made everything simple and stress-free with clear communication and easy instructions.The view from the condo was absolutely beautiful—we spent hours soaking it in. The beach is just steps away: a quick elevator ride down and a short walk across the street. It was so convenient to pop back up to the condo for a fresh drink or a quick break.While the bedroom doesn’t have a view, we ended up sleeping on the pullout couch in the living room the first night just to enjoy the scenery a little longer. Both the bed and the couch are quite firm, but we still slept comfortably. The condo is well-stocked with appliances and amenities, which made it easy to settle in.Our only wish was that the pool faced the ocean—it would have been lovely to float with a view! Because of that, we didn’t end up using the pool. That said, the location can’t be beat—great restaurants and shops are within walking distance, and parking was easy and felt very secure.We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

This property was perfect for my family of 3. My son loved the little bunk beds, and we loved the view from the balcony. Both pools were very nice, and it was great to have a second option to swim if one pool had more people in it. We would definitely book here again.

Family Beach Vacation

Property is just as listed and shown in the pictures. Location is great, located close to everything you need (restaurants, stores, beach). Loved being able to wake up to an ocean view and the convenience of being able to walk across to beach was great for us. Construction was a little annoying at times but nothing too much. My children also enjoyed the pool. Only had one little issue that i had to reach out to the owner and it took several hours to get a response, but in the end it was fixed. Would recommend staying here.

Family get away vacation

Brett C our Host was awesome!! Our condo was beautiful and so relaxing. My family loved the view especially my grandkids. Cannot wait to come back. By the Sea was an amazing place to stay at.

Originally from Dallas, Dax and I are proud to call Galveston home. We have two schnauzers, Brody and Brooklyn - and they are happy to be called "Beach Dogs"! In addition to moving our home to the island, I relocated my law practice. It is infinitely more enjoyable drafting wills and handling probate matters sitting on (or at least near) the beach than drafting in an office that overlooks a parking garage.

I made my first visit to Galveston as an adult in 2012. I had a schnauzer, Logan, who I thought needed to see the ocean before he moved on. We stayed at By the Sea on that trip. Logan loved the trip and the beach. He was with me for two more fun trips. Each year we stayed a week and at By the Sea. This condo was our home for several years. For me, there was no question about it - By the Sea was definitely the place for me!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

By the Sea - the view. AMAZING! You are spoiled from the minute you walk into our home. There are times when I stand in the kitchen and I flashback to being on a cruise ship at sea. Nothing but water as far as you can see. That is the view from the kitchen sink! The building residents and guests are friendly, and the BTS staff go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great experience. The location of our condo in the building is perfect. You are able to watch all the activity that is the Seawall... and yet can pier above it and it is a whole different feel. We have a new hurricane rated door that provides excellent insulation. You can slide the door and close out most any noise from outside. Our location is convenient to everything that Galveston has to offer from water parks to amusement parks - to museums and confectionery shops. All minutes away. And the REAL unique benefit......mere steps to the sand and surf.
