Get the family together for the Holidays or snowmobiling!!

Holiday dates are opened up! Get the family together for holiday fun!!. Lots of room to play games and relax! Game and party room is open!!! 10 person hot tub"!!! We use to run a bed and breakfast here so each of the five rooms have their own full bathroom. Our property is located up on a ridge over looking Lake Superior between Duluth and Two Harbors with quick access to the beautiful North Shore area! We have a lock box entrance that allows your rental to be availability at your convenience. Relax in the lower level sitting area and play cards and games and the living room with massive windows provides you with a place to kick back, start a fire in the fireplace and watch some TV or movies. There are some TV's connected to cable the other TV's have DVD's so you can watch movies...there is a Red Box before you head up the North Shore! Some of the TV's are smart tv's...or bring a HDMI cord to connect your computer to a TV. We added a 24'x36' game room...pool table, ping pong, basketball, air hockey, foosball, play area for the little ones!! The kitchen area has a stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer(ice maker), sink area, microwave, Keurig, toaster, pizza cooker, crock pot, toaster oven, 2 burner hot plate, waffle maker, Instant Pot, 36" outdoor gas griddle, dishes and utensils. The main kitchen is in our private area of the house and can be use if you have special cooking needs. We are on the opposite side of the house in our own area which is blocked off from your area...that is private to you. We are gone much of the time but available if you need anything.. There is a 20' by 40' pool with a slide for your enjoyment and a brand new 10 person hot tub!!! The pool is around 4 feet deep through out and great for water volleyball....net available! We have four king beds, one queen bed and two twin beds and can accommodate 12 comfortably but can add a few more in some cases. (Certain special events are possible and can be discussed.) We have an Infrared Sauna and a washer and dryer for your laundry needs.. This is a great place to base from for snowmobiling, retreat with five couples, a woman's retreat, family reunion, bachelorette get together, church planning gathering, quilting retreat, scrapbooking retreat, etc! MORE TO COME!! Lots of off street parking!! (Please not that we also live on property...our area is separate from your area and we do not go into your area. We try to be gone most of the time renters are here.)

UMD Labor Day weekend

Attention to detail was better than any other rental we have stayed in. Perfect place for multiple families and generations. Definitely hope we can stay again in the future!

Absolutely Fantastic!!

We absolutely loved this property. All the bedrooms having their own bathrooms was a HUGE plus for us. The view was beautiful, amenities were fantastic and the owners were the best! Thank you Jan and Phil for a fantastic week and sharing your beautiful home with us!

Pj's Bed and Breakfast

Our gpoup included kids, teens, 40 somethings, and seniors. We had plenty to do between swimming pool, hot tub gameroom, gas flattop and grill, and we used fireplace a lot. Nice view of Lake Superior from large deck.

Destination Christmas

Jan and Phil were very easy to communicate with, and accommodating. We stayed for about a week and celebrated our family Christmas. They allowed us to cut down a tree to put up in the house & allowed our small dogs to join so they wouldn’t be home alone for the holiday for a pet fee. They have everything you could imagine available in the house. The kitchen/dining area is separated by some drapes that they share the other side of the home. There’s plenty of room on the guests side but just to be aware you do share the residence with the hosts. Only downfall was the power going out due to wind, but the house has a fireplace that was nice and cozy!

Not entirely as it seems

Upon arrival we were very excited about the amenities available. The view overlooking lake superior was exactly what was described but looking out the back windows into nature we seen many non running vehicles scattered about. We felt we were lead astray as the owners had said they also live on property but we didn't realize it's in the same dweling separated by blankets hung from the ceiling. We had a couple minor mishaps with the game room and pool area of which we paid to have replaced (ping pong paddles, and pool floatie). At one point we had an unknown visitor walk in to the residence of the side we were staying wanting to talk to the owner Phil. Overall we did not feel like we had privacy as the owners were on the other side of the blanket wall, present outside dealing with the hot tub , and checking in on the amenities available to us. We felt there was a large lack in security of ourselves and possessions as we never knew weather the owners were coming into our rental while we were away. There were also no clear guidelines for cleaning when done with rental. This was a bad first experience to say the least.

Great place to stay! Perfect for family vacation!

Jan & Phil were very accommodating. It was a perfect setting for our family vacation. Beautiful view of Lake Superior. Everyone enjoyed the pool, hottub, sauna & newly set up game room. We would definitely stay again!

Fantastic getaway for extended family and large groups, so many amenities!

Our extended family 5 adults and 6 children ages 13-5 thoroughly enjoyed staying at PJ's Oasis. The proximity to Duluth and heading up the north shore was ideal. The game room, hot tub and pool were favorites. There is everything you need there available to you besides your own food and clothes. We plan on staying again next year and would recommend this property to anyone headed up North. Thanks for a fantastic getaway and sharing your home with us!

Wonderful View

It was a great property with only a 20 min drive to Duluth or Two Harbors. Every morning you wake up to a beautiful view of Lake Superior with the view of the trees and it gives you a sense of serenity. Plenty of fun things to do at the property aside from the pool and hot tub, the game room was so much fun and our guest were able to keep up with work since they had excellent wifi. Hopefully we will be back there in the future.

Wonderful memories made

I visited with my husband, our 4 young children, my sister and her 2 small children and our parents. The kids loved the pool despite cooler temps. The adults loved the hot tub. I loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Phil and Jan were excellent hosts. Very quick to respond to questions! The decor is a little dated but everything was very comfortable and the views are breathtaking. The only critiques we had were to add some empty shelving to allow storage for our snacks and to add a broom and/or vacuum so we could clean up a bit more after ourselves 😊. I would absolutely recommend this to families, adult groups, reunions etc. We definitely plan to return!

A highly recommended stay

Our stay far exceeded our expectations. The kids were thrilled with the kitsch as soon as we walked inside "the castle" that we would be staying in. Though I was initially concerned we would disturb our hosts since they live in the home they were so very gracious and we never felt like we were sharing the space with someone else. There were so many thoughtful details and the hosts provided everything we needed and more. After we burned through their large supply of wood for the fireplace they even went out and bought a couple more pallets for us. I highly recommend this VRBO for a family reunion or near lake get-away.

Family Gathering

This property was reasonably price. The deck had a beautiful view of Lake Superior that was relaxing to sit out in the morning to read and look at! The fall trees were stunning! The temperature of the house varied depending on the level and time of day but easy to adjust by opening and closing windows. Lots to look at and the supplies provided for different interests. We stayed three nights which wasn't near enough time to enjoy everything available at this property. It was a little bit of a drive to get to Duluth or the North Shore but situated nicely between the two. Preparing meals was limited to grilling. Overall, very nice to gather with multiple family members from different households. Super nice to have our own room with private bathrooms.

Beautiful

Our Vrbo was absolutely gorgeous!!! Phil and Jan are amazing hosts! Everything was exactly as it was stated on the site ans even better in person. Phil was right there when we had a question and responded quickly! The 5 bedrooms ans 5 bathrooms were amazing! Plenty of room for our three kids plus 4 adults. Hot tub was a huge bonus and we loved having that after hiking all day. I’d highly recommend staying here you won’t be disappointed!

Amazing views

Phil and Jan's place was perfect for an adults weekend. Beds were comfortable and each room has it's own private bathroom. The place felt homey and the hosts were very welcoming. They do live on the property but kept to themselves. The pool overlooking the lake was amazing!

Great house for extended family stay

We had a great time on our North Shore holiday weekend stay!!! Location is perfect for hitting all State Parks, Two Harbors, and Duluth! Layout of the house is perfect for multiple families! We can't wait to come back!

Great Stay

We had our family ages 3-70 and everyone had a great time. The indoor and outdoor, books, games and toys were a great bonus for the stay. It had Incredibles views and was not too far from Duluth and Two Harbors. The owners were friendly and quick to respond to any questions or requests we had. We had a lot of fun and would absolutely stay here again.

Quiet place, with lake view

The house is in a great location if you are looking for a quiet place that is out of the way of everything, but an easy drive to get anywhere on the north shore. The house is well stocked with everything you need. Nice open spaces throughout the house. Tons of room for lounging and a pool to entertain the kids. The TV problem was fixed while we were there. The decor is kitschy and outdated, but well kept and clean. The hosts live on site and are nice and helpful.

Perfect for large families!

We had a great stay at this wonderful home! Jan & Phil were very helpful and easy to communicate with both before and during our stay. We had a large gathering made up of 5 different families and had plenty of space! Having separate bedrooms with bathrooms was so nice and allowed our young children to nap peacefully during the day. The pool and hot tub were wonderful and provided lots of relaxation! This home is located very close to both Duluth and Two Harbors. We highly recommend this for your next stay!!
