Great vibe and decor. Spacious for two couples. Nice walking path that is well lit. Loved the layout of the unit. Thus Unit is dog friendly, but there was dog hair on couch and on the couch throw pillows as well as fur balls of dog hair on floor. Otherwise, very clean though. Beds were super comfy. Two and a half bathes were great for us ( two couples). Would stay here again.

Perfect Getaway for Unplugging and Unwinding! We spent 4 wonderful days at this location, and overall it was exactly what we needed for a peaceful getaway. If youā€™re looking for a place to truly unplug and unwind, this is a great little spot.The Good:The community was wonderfully quiet during the week, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The real highlight was the dining - thereā€™s a little restaurant called Bluegill Boathouse where we had the best blackened grouper Iā€™ve ever tasted. Absolutely incredible!We also rented a pontoon boat from Heritage Harbor Marina, and the staff there were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They really made our day on the water special.Areas for Improvement:The bedroom TVs were quite small, which might be disappointing if you enjoy watching shows before bed. Additionally, the mattresses were somewhat uncomfortable - something to keep in mind for your stay.Bottom Line:Despite the minor comfort issues, this place delivered exactly what we were looking for - a quiet, peaceful environment perfect for disconnecting from the busy world. The excellent local dining and friendly boat rental service were wonderful bonuses. Weā€™d definitely consider returning for another extended stay.

Stayed here while working at nuclear plant.

I work on the road and prefer to stay in a nice clean comfortable rental. This place was all of that and more. Would definitely recommend it is worth every penny. I will be back.

Simply Bliss #12 is a lovely, comfortable cottage, and I would stay there again. I could not give the overall experience a five star rating, however, because after we entered the cottage and were in the process of settling in, we noticed that the sliding glass door on the first floor was unlocked and moreover would not lock. I consider this an unacceptable security issue. I called about 5 pm but was sent to voice mail where I left a message asking for help. I went back to the office because the voice mail and my paperwork said it would be open until 6 pm. I was hoping to talk with someone, but the office was locked and dark. Meanwhile my son who is renting another of your cottages came to look at the problem, and between the two of us we figured out how to fix it. I called back to say the door now locked, and no one needed to come. It would have been nice, however, to get a followup call from someone with an apology and to double check that all was now well.

Simply Bliss was awesome. Right next to the pool, and had every amenity we needed. Furniture and beds were very comfortable, we hated to leave! he location was a short drive for our group .

We have been renting Cottages at Heritage Harbor for about 7 years now.

We have been renting Cottages at Heritage Harbor for about 7 years now. We rent a total of 4 cottages for a family vacation. The cottages are very comfortable, and the view of the river and harbor are beautiful. Some of us rented Paddle Boards and Electric Boats at the harbor. The staff was very friendly and easy work with. We all had a great time, looking forward to booking our next vacation at Heritage Harbor. The staff at Heritage Harbor were very courteous, we were greeted with a smile. Any problems we ran into, the staff called us back right away.

Overall, an excellent experience.

Overall, an excellent experience. I do want to point out one problem we had while staying at Simply Bliss, however. The pull out couch was very dusty and dirty underneath. We even saw broken glass. There were no extra sheets for the bed. If you'll advertise the house and sleeping six, I think that means the pull-out sofa needs to be as clean and ready-to-go as the rest of the beds in the house. Interacting with staff over text was easy, and I appreciate the low-contact interactions during COVID. Rich responded quickly when we asked for extra sheets to be brought to our cottage.

In general like the concept of the resort and coming attractions.

In general like the concept of the resort and coming attractions. Would definitely come back again to explore further. Like how convenient it is to get to from Chicago Suburbs. Curious about river traffic from pleasure crafts, boats, barges etc. Not sure about the river versus a more beach and swimming type of community. Surprised there was not a single tree planted or tall vegetation. In some communities Units seem so close together so it feels cramped, patios next to air-conditioning units. Bridget was excellent in providing information about the resort, rental unit, properties available for purchase and general area amenities.
