Beautiful cottage

Excellent Vacation Home!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this clean, cozy, and well equipped home. Calvin was very responsive, though we had no issues during our stay. The home itself is tastefully updated, and has everything you need for an extended vacation. Amenities such as the gas fire patio table, new TV's, and modern appliances also made our stay an excellent value. Highly recommend.

Smart renovations, beautiful place to stay!

Clearly much thought was put into this cute cottage, really comfortable, with home like touches. Off street parking and fenced back yard with grill and yard furniture will make this a much sought after rental just a mile from the bay. We’ll be back.

Nice place!

We enjoyed are stay here very much. The place was very nice and had everything we needed. Great communication with property manager and no issues at all to speak of. Checkin was a breeze. Beds very comfortable and plenty of pillows to choose from. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Actually next time we come to Norfolk I will check to see if this place is available before looking anywhere else.

Clean and spacious home on our family vacation

This bungalow was amazing! The openness and decor of the home was some warm and welcoming. My business partner and I was able to work, meditate, and reconnect. I would definitely recommend this rental!!! I LOVED it!!

The Bayhouse is an awesome place to stay

Location was everything! We were literally 4 mins to 30 mins away from SEVERAL beaches, including the boardwalk! The special touches in the house to make it more comfortable we’re great too! Calvin was very responsive and considerate of our concerns. My favorite thing about the house, besides being so close to several beaches is the patio and fire pit enclosed by a wooden privacy fence in the backyard. It was a great relaxing spot to retire from a busy day. We will definitely stay here again!!

Absolutely Perfect!!!

My husband and I stayed here with our son who is stationed here. This place allowed us to relax and enjoy our time reconnecting as a family after not seeing him for almost a year!!! This house was perfect in every way and spacious enough to bring the whole family in the near future. We can't thank our hosts enough for the added personal touches and walking into our home away from home. Their attention to every detail blew me away and I absolutely recommend this house if your in the area!!!

Only Place We'll Ever Stay!!!

The pictures honestly don't do this property justice! This will be the ONLY place we will ever stay at when we're in town. The decor is gorgeous & the amenities are a plus (comfy beds, nice tvs, coffee bar, stainless appliances, fire pit, grill & provided toiletries)! Location is perfect, next door to a few take out places & just a short drive from the beach. Calvin was more than accommodating & quick to respond to messages. You will NOT be disappointed with this place!! We can't wait to come back!!!

Cute place with a great porch.

Calvin's place was very welcoming once you open the front door. The place is decorated very cute that gives you a vacation feel. It was very clean and had snacks, coffee bar, and information about the area. The place is not too far of a drive to the Virginia Beach or downtown Norfolk. The front porch was my favorite place to sit in the morning and evening to relax and watch the traffic. Calvin replied quickly when I had a question which is great. I would most definitely stay there again in I return to Norfolk.

Virginia Trip 2021

What can we say we had a great time. The house is well located less than a half an hour from Virginia Beach and the boardwalk. Love the beach feel of the house well stocked with everything you need for a couple days + stay. Calvin the host was great response time was excellent when we needed him fortunately for us we really didn’t need him the house is well maintained and we had no issues. Great and beautiful house!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bay House Bungalow! It is so beautifully decorated with calming and tasteful beach/nautical decor, which definitely adds to the experience. A great deal! It is located near an intersection, but it still feels private and the closeness of convenience stores is practical. I went with my parents, my husband and our two toddlers. It worked well for us, but I could see it be even better for families with older kids. The host, Calvin is very quick to respond and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend!

30 Year Old Beach Trip

The whole experience was wonderful-every detail was thought of and the location was close to all manner of indoor activities since our trip unfortunately was rained on a bit. However, there was enough room and ability to spend our time indoors. The only thing I would change would have been the thermostat was entirely too efficient (with the weather being so cold outside the inside wanted to compensate). But seriously I can’t be mad about technology trying to be too efficient. Overall a wonderful place to stay and we would definitely stay again!

Immaculate property, great location

We were super impressed with our stay! The house was immaculate and decorated very well. We were traveling with a toddler and crawling baby so we did have to hide a lot of the decor to keep it safe, but that wasn't too hard as there was lots of storage space! I was very impressed with all the personal touches Calvin left...a welcome sign, extra toiletries in the bathroom, snacks, k-Cups, etc. The location is great...only 30 minutes from VA beach and 10 minutes from Ocean View Beach, which was beautiful (and quiet!). The porch outside was lovely and the backyard was great. It was very quiet considering it's located at a seemingly busy intersection as well. Calvin was super responsive to any questions we had as well. 10/10 Recommend!

The house was nicely decorated. Just a little hard to live out of a suitcase for 13 days. A dresser would have been nice to have. Other than that, no complaints.

FANTASTIC GETAWAY

I am local to Norfolk, comma but me and some of my college girlfriends were able to find this property for for a nice girl's weekend reunion. Calvin was more than accommodating and the location was it is so accessible to a multitude of stores and the highway. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

Beautiful House & very spacious

Beautiful house & very spacious. The owner did some nice upgrades, and having a laundry room was a great bonus. The windows really need to be replaced as they are extremely drafty. The only thing that we did not care for was the house being near a large intersection. With the old windows, you could hear all the traffic throughout the night, so we did not get much sleep. Otherwise, the proximity was great.

Family trip

My husband and I came with our 3 adult children and my mother to attend my nephew's wedding in Virginia Beach. This was the perfect place to stay. We were thrilled. It was immaculate and cozy. So nice for our family and convenient to so much in the area. Thanks so much to our host Calvin for making this a truly pleasant family weekend.
