Cottage by the Sea features front row views of the beautiful beach and Atlantic Ocean.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway in Fernandina Beach. The location to the beach starts at the bottom of the deck steps. Wiggle your toes into the sand and feel the grounding taking place within your body as you relax and breathe in the salty air. Take a long stroll along the beach and steal a treasure or two from the ocean's bountiful supply as a reminder of your visit to this beautiful island.

Check-in is easy with our contactless process.
Your code for the lock box will be the last 4 of your cell number. You will receive this code 15 minutes before check-in.
The door is an Andersen high impact door with a 3 point locking system.
After booking, you will have access to my cell phone number. My handyman and housekeeper live close by and are eager to help should issues arise.

The neighborhood is a mix of long term residents and short term rental properties.
Our Cottage by the Sea is located a short distance from Main Beach where you can enjoy two restaurants, a playground and a round of Putt Putt.
The downtown area of Fernandina Beach is located within 3 miles of the Cottage. Our downtown has a variety of delicious restaurants, shops and tasty treats like homemade chocolates, a bakery and 2 ice cream shops.
The downtown hosts a local fresh farmer's market on Saturday mornings.

Guests have full access to the home with no shared interior spaces.
Parking for the cottage is easily accessible and located between the Cottage and our Rosie's Retreat.
We can accommodate 2 vehicles.

Quiet and Relaxing Experience

Our 5th stay at Amyā€™s Cottage by the Sea. The view of the ocean and dunes is awesome, even on the rare rainy day. The Cottage is clean and cozy and the location is unbeatable. With easy access to restaurants , the greenway and downtown shops. Our absolute favorite place to stay in Fernandina.

I felt there was too much email, texting. Most rentals come with a notebook giving details about use of tvs or funky light switches, restaurants, etc. this would have made many of the texts unnecessary. Perhaps others prefer frequent texts. I prefer to unplug on vacation. It was a lovely spot. Thanks.

Perfect beach getaway

Perfect place for a small families beach vacation 3rd year staying here home is always clean and owner includes all of the conveniences of home.Home is right on the beach and its in a beautiful family friendly area. We have never had one single problem or complant. Highly recommend!

Fabulous stay!

We had a wonderful two weeks at Amyā€™s property. We loved being right on the beach and seeing the sunrises every morning. The house is very well equipped, and Amy was very responsive. This is our new favorite rental on Amelia Island!

Great place for our family of 4!

This was the perfect house for our family. It was situated right on the beach with a big deck to look at the beautiful ocean! We could walk to a few restaurants and itā€™s a quick drive to the downtown area. We loved it here!

Christmas 2024

It was a cozy cottage and it was a perfect getaway. We were able to immediately put our toes in the sand after stepping off the porch and do easy bike rides to ft clinch and egans greenway. Itā€™s a quick drive to the center of Fernandina or Jacksonville. It was a wonderful week.

Beautiful Beachside cottage

This was a great find right on the beach. Home was well appointed with all the necessities and then some. It is right on the beach with its own deck where you can watch and listen to the breaking waves. Everything you need is for a pleasant stay is right there. You can't beat Amy's place in terms of being located right on a beautiful beach, convenient to town and restaurants, clean, well-equipped, and very well-managed. This is definitely our favorite place, and we have traveled the world over.

Spectacular Sunrises

This Beach Cottage is as pictured, wonderfully comfortable, perfect for two couples. everything we needed was provided in quantity and quality from linens and towels to appliances and hot water. We live in Fernandina but a long weekend living on the beach with beautiful sunrises is an extra special treat. Our land locked friends who joined us were equally impressed. Definitely on our "wish to return" list. Thank you Amy for taking good care of us

This is the fourth time that we have stayed in the Cottage by the Sea. We have enjoyed every trip. We love the cottage and its location on the beach plus its access to restaurants and shopping. Amy is very accommodating and responsive. Recent renovations have been made to the cottage and improved the property even more. I recommend wholeheartedly.

Wow!! What a great place!

Wow! We loved this place! Nice ocean views from the deck or the living room; which has plenty of windows and a nice big sliding glass door. A few steps to the beach which was excellent! Great beach for walking, bike riding, tanning, or swimming.A short bike ride to Fort Clinch which we definitely took advantage of. A short car ride to downtown Fernandina where most of the shops and restaurants are. The property is clean, recently refurbished, well stocked, and Amy was very attentive and easy to get in touch with! The bed was comfy and the bathrooms were clean and bright!Everything was as it should be. Perfect set up for my wife and I. We were very pleased and look forward to coming back!!

We have vacationed on Amelia Island since I was a child. After I had children, we continued to visit Amelia Island. At some point we decided to visit other beaches. My children begged to go back to Amelia Island! We have always enjoyed searching for sharks' teeth, collecting seashells, biking downtown for ice-cream, feeding the birds.....Amelia Island is the place we long to be!

We fell in love with this property because of this little cottage. When I saw the unbelievable view of the ocean from inside the cottage, I started to cry. (And my husband knew it was a 'done deal'!) Our cottage has so much charm and character! It was built years ago, before the building setbacks were put in place. The location of our cottage is right on the sand! You just can't get any closer to the water! I think Amelia Island is special because it is not too commercialized. When you drive onto the island, you immediately feel the slower pace, the relaxed feel of the island! The main beach street has some new construction, but it also has a nice mix of old beach cottages that have been in families for years! It really adds a lot of character to the island. If you visit the downtown, you feel as though you have stepped back in time. Families are strolling along the sidewalks and peeking into charming shops, locally owned bookstores, and coffee shops. You can't leave downtown without a taste of ice-cream or homemade fudge from the Fantastic Fudge Shop!
