Check-in is easy with our contactless process.
Check-in is anytime after 4pm. Please do not arrive early. Access instructions will be sent on the morning of your check-in.
After booking, you will have access to my cell phone number. My handyman and housekeeper live close by and are eager to help should issues arise.

The neighborhood is a mix of long term residents and short term rental properties.
Our Cottage by the Sea is located a short distance from Main Beach where you can enjoy two restaurants, a playground and a round of Putt Putt.
The downtown area of Fernandina Beach is located less than 3 miles of the Cottage. Our downtown has a variety of shops, restaurants, and delicious treats and ice-cream at Fantastic Fudge, Nana Teresa's Bakery, Cinnamon Bear Country Store and Watanut.
The downtown hosts a local fresh farmer's market on Saturday mornings.


Guests have full access to the home with no shared interior spaces.
Parking for the cottage is easily accessible and located between the Cottage and our Rosie's Retreat.
We can accommodate 2 vehicles.

We just returned from our second stay at The Cottage by the Sea and we loved it just as much as the first time! Except this time the house is more updated and an additional bathroom. They did a great job with the renovation! The proximity to the beach is perfect for our family of 4, and being able to walk to the little surf shop and restaurants made things so convenient. The house is well stocked with beach chairs, towels, and games, which kept us entertained. We had a fantastic time, and we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend for families!

What a gem of a place! I always worry whether I've chosen the right vacation rental, but this home exceeded every expectation. The location was perfect, and it provided the backdrop for such a memorable trip with my family. The house was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described. The host was incredibly responsive, proactive with communication, and quick to help with anything we needed to make our stay even more enjoyable. If you're considering booking, don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed. We had an amazing experience and would absolutely stay here again. We can't wait to return!

Another Great Stay

We had an another great week at the cottage.We have visited several times and will certainly be returning. The view can’t be beat and you hit the sand right off the deck! The host always has the house well stocked with all that you need which helps cut down on packing those odds and ends. The cottage has been spotless every time we visit. Highly recommend.

Quiet and Relaxing Experience

Our 5th stay at Amy’s Cottage by the Sea. The view of the ocean and dunes is awesome, even on the rare rainy day. The Cottage is clean and cozy and the location is unbeatable. With easy access to restaurants , the greenway and downtown shops. Our absolute favorite place to stay in Fernandina.

Views of the ocean are beautiful. You are right on the beach. The cottage had everything we needed. Amy checked on us throughout the stay and promptly dealt with whatever issues arose. The cottage was perfect for us. This was our third time staying here, and each stay has been delightful.

Perfect beach getaway

Perfect place for a small families beach vacation 3rd year staying here home is always clean and owner includes all of the conveniences of home.Home is right on the beach and its in a beautiful family friendly area. We have never had one single problem or complant. Highly recommend!

Fabulous stay!

We had a wonderful two weeks at Amy’s property. We loved being right on the beach and seeing the sunrises every morning. The house is very well equipped, and Amy was very responsive. This is our new favorite rental on Amelia Island!

Great place for our family of 4!

This was the perfect house for our family. It was situated right on the beach with a big deck to look at the beautiful ocean! We could walk to a few restaurants and it’s a quick drive to the downtown area. We loved it here!

I felt there was too much email, texting. Most rentals come with a notebook giving details about use of tvs or funky light switches, restaurants, etc. this would have made many of the texts unnecessary. Perhaps others prefer frequent texts. I prefer to unplug on vacation. It was a lovely spot. Thanks.

You can't beat Amy's place in terms of being located right on a beautiful beach, convenient to town and restaurants, clean, well-equipped, and very well-managed. This is definitely our favorite place, and we have traveled the world over.

We have vacationed on Amelia Island since I was a child. After I had children, we continued to visit Amelia Island. At some point we decided to visit other beaches. My children begged to go back to Amelia Island! We have always enjoyed searching for sharks' teeth, collecting seashells, biking downtown for ice-cream, feeding the birds.....Amelia Island is the place we long to be!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

We fell in love with this property because of this little cottage. When I saw the unbelievable view of the ocean from inside the cottage, I started to cry. (And my husband knew it was a 'done deal'!) Our cottage has so much charm and character! It was built years ago, before the building setbacks were put in place. The location of our cottage is right on the sand! You just can't get any closer to the water! I think Amelia Island is special because it is not too commercialized. When you drive onto the island, you immediately feel the slower pace, the relaxed feel of the island! The main beach street has some new construction, but it also has a nice mix of old beach cottages that have been in families for years! It really adds a lot of character to the island. If you visit the downtown, you feel as though you have stepped back in time. Families are strolling along the sidewalks and peeking into charming shops, locally owned bookstores, and coffee shops. You can't leave downtown without a taste of ice-cream or homemade fudge from the Fantastic Fudge Shop!
