Your wonderful Wisconsin vacation begins at East Shorewood Cottages on Kangaroo Lake. Here you will find a relaxed atmosphere with ten housekeeping cottages nestled along the pristine east shore of this inland body of water.

Relax at the beach, swim, fish, play games, take a walk, or enjoy a campfire. You’re on 'the quiet side', yet only minutes away from all the attractions Door County has to offer including golf, shopping, antiques, art galleries, live theater, parks, etc.

Wow! That's usually the word that comes to mind when you first enter Evergreen's brand new screened porch. It is quaint, comfortable, and private - the perfect place for meals and those moments when you just want to unwind.

Enjoy the warmth and coziness of Evergreen's living space and newly remodeled kitchen and bath. With three bedrooms, Evergreen provides comfort for up to seven guests.

Fantastic for a small group

I gave the accuracy 4/5 stars because the pictures don’t really do it justice, this place is great! We had a group of 5 guys stay and had a great time. Everyone had their own bed, the kitchen was great so we didn’t always have to eat out, and the deck and porch were killer for cards and enjoying the outdoors. In a perfect world the fire pit would be right at the cabin but it’s very close, not even 100 yards from the front door, and being right in the water more than made up for it. The only negative I have is the beds were a little on the firm side, but I like softer mattresses

Annual Door County Fun!!

Cottage stay was lots of fun. Enjoyed the fire pit one night and game night the other. We had a great time with lots of laughs!!!

Fall getaway for family of 5

The kids had a five day weekend and we needed to get out of town. We have never been to door county, and we can’t wait to go back after staying here. This property was much better than I thought it would be. As a mom of three kids- I LOVED that there were hooks everywhere. I mean everywhere. Nothing had to be on the floor. We could watch the sunset over kangaroo lake every night, and could have a campfire too (no need to bring your own firewood). The house makes you feel like you are staying at grandma’s house in the woods. Warm enough at night, comfortable beds, and a roomy enough bathroom (with a drying line and hooks). There are tons of games and books for all ages. Water toys, a private beach, tetherball, carpet ball, golf, volleyball, all well maintained. There really isn’t a need to leave the property, ever. But we did because it is door county and there is so much to do. We loved being on the quiet side. Now that we know there are several other houses on the property, we want to go back with friends and family. The owner was responsive and Easy to work with. We met a few other people who were staying there and had been there many times before. We can see why! Highly recommend!

Perfect Place for Young Family

Loved the property and the cabin. It was perfect for a romantic getaway with my wife while also having our little guy with us. He loved the playground and beach as well as the fun toys left for us. We loved the full kitchen, fireplace, and proximity to all the fun Door County offerings. Would have all been 5 stars, but the one issue with the check-in process was the address given brings you to the wrong driveway a few miles up the road. We got in after dark so it was stressful thinking we were lost. If you put it into Google Maps, make sure to just enter the Resort name and not the direct address, that worked fine. Thanks again for the great stay!

Girls Weekend

We had a wonderful time at Evergreen for Girls Weekend! There was plenty to do for my 8 year old niece. Great location as everything was within 20 mins of driving. The cottage was perfect! Clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for the weekend. Would definitely recommend staying!

Fabulous, I think my sister left her bags of clothes there and I'm missing a NDSU lite blue hoodie, will I be able to return to get these things?

Nice cabin and great location!

My friends and I came up for a weekend to go winery tasting, and this cabin was perfect. It was a nice size and very cute. Everything that we would have needed was at the cabin or on the grounds. I loved how close it was to the kangaroo lake. If the weather was nicer we definitely would have used the kayaks as well! Would definitely come back here!

Great place for family

My children love this place. It has playground, ping-pong table, sand beach with toys, paddle boats and kayak. They enjoyed two days here. A great place for family to spend a relaxing time together.

Wonderful time!

This was a great find. The lake was an added bonus, as we hadn't expected it to have so many options for on the water fun. The cabin was clean and exactly as pictured, perfect for a cozy weekend getaway.

Evergreen cabin was comfortable and roomy

We really enjoyed our stay at kangaroo lake. The cabin was very nice and Trudy was very nice to work with in getting us in a cabin for the weekend. We will be staying at these cabins again.

Evergreen Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at the Evergreen Cottage on Kangaroo Lake. The cottage was clean and very comfortable for all 7 of us. We loved the screen porch and ate most of our meals out there instead of in the kitchen. The lake was very refreshing.
