Scout's Hideaway is nestled at the end of a quiet road, surrounded by tall pine trees. With a forested backyard and a deck perfect for sipping coffee, you can enjoy sightings of deer, bluebirds, woodpeckers, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, and lizards. Despite the peaceful seclusion, Idyllwild’s town center and hiking trails are just a 6-minute drive away. This modern but vintage cabin features two spacious bedrooms—one with a king bed and the other with a queen. The cozy living room opens onto the deck, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor space. The fully equipped kitchen comes with coffee and tea to start your day. In the evening, light a fire in the wood-burning stove, unwind with a glass of whiskey or wine, and enjoy the sunset from the deck. Designed as a tranquil retreat, Scout's Hideaway offers games and puzzles for entertainment, but no TV. Feel free to bring your own device or ask us for our projector for streaming. While WiFi is available, this is the perfect spot to disconnect and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding you.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING:
This vacation rental is equipped with a mini split air-conditioning unit.

-Cancellations: Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive a full refund, with a $150.00 cancellation charge. Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund plus a $150.00 cancellation charge.
No Cancellations are Allowed for November, December, and January.

- Pets: We do allow dogs; however, please note that there is a fee of $35 per dog per night. Bringing more than one dog requires prior approval and may incur additional fees. Other pets may be considered with prior approval, and a flat per-stay pet fee may apply instead of the nightly fee, depending on the property and length of stay. For reservations made through third-party sites such as Airbnb, once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a separate payment request for any approved pet fees, which must be paid separately.

Parking: Free parking is available for 1 vehicle (Seasonal Restrictions Apply; chains are recommended in winter, and 4X4 is HIGHLY Recommended).

- Rental agreement: Please review our rental agreement for our house rules. You will receive an emailed version to sign, but if you prefer other options, please inquire.

- Age restrictions: Due to the new County of Ordinance 927.2: We no longer accept reservations for anyone under 21 years of age.

- Seasonal wood delivery: If available, there is a $25 fee per bundle (approximately 20 pieces). Please provide at least 5 days' notice for a Friday arrival date or at least 3 days' notice for any other day of the week. Please note that there are no refunds for this service.

- Confirmation: Upon booking this property through Airbnb, New Spirit Vacation Homes will send you a direct email confirming your reservation. Attached to this confirmation will be a contract you need to review, sign, and send back within 24 hours.

- Incidentals: We reserve the right to request payment for any incidentals. This includes but is not limited to firewood, pet fees, special occasion requests, personal grocery drop-offs, pay-per-view movies or sporting events, and damaged property.

Guests booking this home under the age of 25 years of age will provide an additional insurance for $70.00 non-refundable on the day of arrival.
