Our home is located on A Robert Trent Jones jr designed golf course in the beautiful Steamboat Springs Ski Resort . We are uniquely situated on the mountain while being in a quiet location. This is a neighborhood of owners...not a rental pool. Our home is one half of a duplex without any other units attached. It is a sophisticated setting with very quiet adult neighbors. There is no noise, congestion, or parties. Our home is well appointed with luxury linens, amenities, and a stocked kitchen. 3 spacious bedrooms allow for privacy within the unit. Our ideal guests are couples, business travelers, a small family, but not 5 single travelers or groups of college age kids. Our back deck offers a bar-b-q as well as lounge furniture and Great views of The Sleeping Giant Mountain and Golf Course. We provide 1 parking space in a heated garage. No trailers and no over sized trucks will fit. There is no driveway parking in the winter and no additional vehicles. Our garage has an 8 ft clearance. We are conveniently located close to the ski mountain and parking. It is a short distance to downtown by car, bus, or bike. We are owner managed and not part of a rental pool. We are in a new designated zone that only allows 30 day rental stays. It is our home and wish to provide guests a very clean, well appointed experience for their family and friends. This space is not for everyone. Please read through our house rules. It should be noted that we are constantly upgrading amenities throughout and replacing dated items. Currently we are replacing all furniture.

Disappointed
The screen door to the deck fell out!
There were no screens in 2 windows in the main area. The couch was so low to the ground and had holes/ rips in it. The shower door was difficult to open and the handle was broken. The blind cords were tangled and took effort every time to unwind and open. The carpet had stains and the grill caught fire because the under pan hadn't been cleaned. I was asked to do laundry before we left! The TVs weren't working and we had to wait a day for someone to come and fix them. When you pay for a rental you expect it to be in
working order. This is not our first rental! We have rented for many years and we're very disappointed. Spend money and time for this nonsense!!!

When Katie first showed up she called me already irritated that our code was not working. I asked her to send me a photo of the keypad to make sure she was in the right place and she was unable to work her phone and do that. I called my neighbor who graciously came out to help her and found that Katie was trying to get into our garage instead of the obvious front door.
Next I received an irritated call from Katie claiming that the tv doesn't work. I spoke with her husband who kept telling me that he was very tech savvy and that there was something seriously wrong. I contacted our husband and wife team immediately to come out and when they did they found the box unplugged.
Yes we do ask that our renters only put their white towels in the washer and start the load to assist with a more efficient turn over.
We are in the middle of a post pandemic economy.... We have screens that are in process of being repaired and it has taken a long time through no fault of ours.
No matter what what repairs are in process we responded to each and every complaint from the couple with the utmost patience and courtesy. From the moment they arrived they were guests that were looking for a confrontation. I have been a super host for 8 solid years in California and successfully at our home ( not a rental property in a rental pool) in Steamboat with NO bad reviews. I will have to say I have never experienced a more aggressively rude couple in my entire host career. They were mean, rude, and entitled. I would never recommend them to anyone. We have cherished all of our guests. With a home share program which is what we are, inviting guests in we have more maintenance issue than normal. Instead of just us using our homes we have hundreds of guests that spill, and mistreat our possessions but do we go OFF on them...Never.

Great stay and host
The location is great and Debbie (the owner) was very communicative. The place is spacious enough for a family or a few couples. Super comfortable for a week away in the mountains.

We have loved every trip to our second home in Steamboat Springs with our 3 kids. We are a family of 5 from Santa Barbara Ca that really loves this little mountain town. There is so much to do in Steamboat for families like hiking, skiing, snow shoeing, sailing, camping, hot springs, picnics, swimming, kayaking, river tubing, etc.... I could go on and on. Even with our kids being young adults now , we still enjoy playing with them in the snow, golfing together, or just hanging on the back deck. We know that you will be very comfortable and happy sharing our home.

Our property has family history. We are not a rental but a home that is being shared. We have cared for our place very well over the years and have anticipated guests needs and wants. As a homeowner we are constantly upgrading, adding and replacing to keep our property current with hospitality trends. This is not a neighborhood of rentals. We live in a quiet adult neighborhood.

You will not have the noise of other rental units. We are not a churn and burn rental unit thus we make sure every guest has an immaculate, quality experience.
