Our cabin is secluded on 18+ acre creek property...yet close to many area attractions. We are located 16 mile from Pipestem State Park (hiking, fishing, horseback riding, ziplines, full 18 and 9 hole golf course and lots of other seasonal activities). We are 18 miles to Winterplace Ski Resort and 27 miles from the historic railroad town of Hinton WV. There are beautiful waterfalls nearby at Camp Creek located 10 miles and Brush Creek Falls 8 miles from the cabin! Whether its for a vacation, special occasion, honeymoon, or quick getaway you are sure to love your stay.

Peaceful

We had a great time staying at this property and would consider it again. It was nice to see some wildlife in the morning and the evening. The wi-fi had to be reset many times to watch late night tv but not a huge problem. Overall, a great property to spend some relaxing time. It made a nice vacation for my wife and I.

Our stay here was enjoyable, my spouse and I were able to relax and have fun playing board games. The owner reached out ahead of time to warn us about the driveway with snow and I had not answered my phone but was glad to know that they were trying to resolve it. Thanmfhllg we were able to get

Absolutely Wonderful

Me and my wife had an amazing time at this cabin! It was clean, orderly, and above all, peaceful! We hiked to the train tracks twice during our stay (there's no marked trails that we noticed but was a pleasant trek through the woods regardless). The second hike we ended up sheltering in the tunnel for a few since we got caught in a small snowstorm which was a new experience for my wife. Being from Mercer County myself I prepared for a relaxing stay with not much to do. I was surprised at the increase in things to do since I left. Every time we left the cabin we managed to find something to do, Including the New Years festival on Mercer St. Our Host Dawn also had great communication and was willing to help with any problem that arose during our trip (One was my lack of reading and the other was completely unrelated car trouble). We would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone wanting to take a break and just relax for a few days and we will definitely be back for another stay as soon as possible!

Peaceful!

Almost Heaven was the perfect little cabin for a short weekend away for an our anniversary! We loved seeing the deer come into the yard. We had everything we needed for our stay. Location was perfect for going ATV riding on the trails. We will definitely be back!

Golf weekend

The property was very nice. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the quiet of the location. We were able to visit Glade Springs resort and Pipestem resort from this location with ease. The host was very accommodating and communicated everything we needed for our stay.

Disappointed

The cabin itself was very clean and comfortable except the kitchen table. I am a plus sized woman, and I couldn't fit in the table. The outdoor furniture wasn't comfortable, and I was never able to find the pond. There wasn't a lot to do unless you wanted to drive several miles. There were TV's but no internet, so we weren't able to watch anything. I contacted the host about an issue and didn't hear back from her until the next day. We left a day early.

Weekend stay

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend while visting family in town. The property was great, everything was clean organized and cozy. Checkin was simple and easy. We enjoyed watching some of the wildlife from the cabin and soaking in the peace ans quite. Definitely felt like a home away from home

Small Get Away

Deer, a wild Turkey, and a nice quiet time.

My 11 year old son loved the loft. I think it is now the only thing he will want in future cabun stays. We really enjoyed our time on the property.

The Great Reset

My wife and I were looking for a getaway and "Reset" and found it here. When we started looking for a quiet getaway this place ticked off all the right boxes. When we got there the first then we noticed was the solitude, peacefulness and quiet which allowed us to relax and decompress so effortlessly. Town is close but not too close. There are neighbors but not within view of the Cabin. Well appointed but not fancy, everything we wanted/needed was available. We've been home for days and are still talking about our trip. Hope everyone gets to take the hike up the hill to the old abandoned train track and trestle... cool hike. Looking forward to a return visit if they'll have us back.

Camping trip with a twist

Had an amazing time at the cabin. Very clean and has everything you need for a little get away in the mountains. Cabin is tucked away in a remote area but close enough drive to exit 9 in Princeton, which has everything you'll need. However, speaking of driving my truck broke down while on the visit and ended up being trapped for an extra 2 days. While this sounds horrible Dawn was very very kind and let us hang around late on Sunday(our checkout day) and have time to deal with my problem. She even went out of her way to contact the neighbors and have them try and help get my truck started. The truck needed a new ignition switch so it had to be towed into the Ramey Ford dealer in town. These people were also very nice. So after two days staying in town at the country inn and suites we were finally able to get home. So if you catch yourself in this situation you will have no problem using door dash to get food out to the cabin. However, don't be like me and make sure you bring a credit card because the two rental places in town Hertz and Enterprise require a physical card to be present. You cannot even use a digital one saved to your phones wallet. Also there is no Uber or Lyft service in the area so this makes it hard to get around if you get stuck like that. Only other note is that the cabin doesn't have Wi-fi so make sure you have a hotspot on your phone if you want to stream anything. Very kind people made a horrible situation not as bad, will be back.

Serenity at its finest

Me and my daughter's thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this peaceful and serene log cabin. It was immaculate, and well-kept up inside and outside of the grounds. The owner Dawn was amazing, sweet, and quick to respond. I loved how she had a booklet with instructions on our stay and places to eat and visit. We will utilize this Vrbo when coming back to Princeton to visit family due to the ease of checking in and out and how comfortable the beds, cabin felt, and how safe we felt during our stay.

Cleaning crew may need addressing

The floor was sticky upon arrival and the trash can lid had something spilled all over it when we got there. I couldnt find a mop so had to use a wet rag to mop up the floor. There waw also a random toddler sock and a marker under the tv in the bedroom so i feel like the cleaning crew may need to notified about these items. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and were appreciative of the owners allowing us to rent it.

Weekend Getaway to Winterplace Ski Resort

We enjoyed our stay at Almost Heaven Hideaway. The owner (Dawn) is very attentive and quick to respond to inquiries. The cabin is very cozy, clean, and ready on your arrival. Another plus is the location, you are out of the hustle of the city, but can easily access the highway to anywhere you want to go.

Cozy cabin

This is a wonderful cabin, and the owner goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. There was ice cold waters in the fridge, snacks on the table, the new toothbrush's in the bathroom was a nice touch. I would recommend this hideaway to everyone considering a trip to West Virginia. It is the perfect location.
