Great lake house. plenty of space for the family. loved the large yard and the view was fantastic. House has an old rustic feel to it with lots of charm. just what we were looking for.

The host was very responsive and sent clear instructions about checking in, our stay and checkout. House was comfortable, kitchen was stocked with everything to cook meals. The view, dock, screened porch, fire pit and kayak were amazing. Truly enjoyable week stay.

Awesome spot on the lake and great yard. Size of house is a little difficult for the number of people it is listed to sleep.

We had a good stay. Location was great. My husband enjoyed fishing. The dock was a great place to hang out. Beautiful area. Thanks for hosting us. I enjoyed the hanging bed.

Clean rooms and everything was nice and tidy. Plenty of pots and pans and utensils in the kitchen. Plenty of towels and clean bathrooms. Plenty of space for us and the teenagers with us. We were able to make memories with our grandchildren like we did with their parents. The dock/boathouse were great for sunning and fishing. Yard was flat and the kids played ball. Board games in the evening for friendly competition. Would definitely come back again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location of the property was excellent. We were able to easily dock a pontoon boat. We loved the screened in porch. We had some small issues. There was a musty smell when we first entered the property. It went away after a couple of days by opening the screen doors and burning some scented candles. There were mouse feces in one of the drawers. I’ve ended up washing all of the silverware and utensils. The bathtub on the first floor was extremely slippery! We purchased a mat on the first day. Mattresses were extremely soft. We are used to more firm ones.

Birthday weekend at the lake

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the house, screened in porch, lake, games, firepit and kayaks. Donna was quick to respond to all our questions and we loved the rustic interior. Very enjoyable weekend and wish we could have stayed longer!

Great place!

Our family had an amazing week! We spent our days floating near the dock and kayaking to the lily pads in bloom about a mile to the east.Our evenings were spent enjoying the fire pit. We had such a good time, we were already planing a return visit before the trip was over.

Great Getaway

We wanted a cabin feel and we got it! The dock was great for fishing - especially in the evening. The cabin was comfy and has everything we needed for our family of 5. Would definitely return in the future - thank you for sharing your place with us!

Quiet weekend getaway

This was such a cute, rustic cabin on a beautiful lake lot. It provided the perfect spot for a getaway weekend. Although it was too cool to get in the lake, we still enjoyed sitting out on the dock and and having a cozy fire in the fire pit during the evenings. Great weekend and the host was extremely responsive.

Christmas getaway

Overall the property is very cute and rustic, however the kitchen is very small and some features are outdated such as the carpets and appliances. The view of the lake and the large front yard is a great feature.

Great Waterfront View

This was exactly what we were looking for! A cozy peaceful getaway on the water with outdoor options and plenty of room to sleep the family. Not a boring cookie cutter. Check-in and management responsiveness was top notch.

Perfect place for a peaceful weekend!

My mom and I had a wonderful stay at the King Kabin! We especially loved the screened porch and spent a lot of time out on it, watching sunrises over coffee in the morning, and my two dogs had a great time playing in the water every day (although it would be nice to have a way for them to get in without scrambling over the rocks - but they made do, so not a big deal). The string lights over the yard were a nice touch too. Donna was a model host, very responsive and made our time at Lake Gaston a breeze. We can’t wait to come back!

Fall at the lake

We were looking for a getaway at the lake for a birthday celebration and small family reunion. There were 5 adults and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the lake in fall. There was plenty of room for all of us, the house was clean and ready when we arrived and it was just as described in the listing. Thank you, Donna!

Crafted house design

I personal enjoyed the wood craftsmanship of the house design. The kids liked the hanging bed on porch. If you look around you will find very unique items that you normally do not see in a typical cabin. Perfect lake house and neighborhood is safe and clean. Perfect for family trip. Property manager was quick to respond and place comes fully equipped.

Awesome cabin on main lake!

We loved our stay at The King's lake cabin! The great room has windows everywhere which gives you the feeling of being outdoors and allows a ton a light into the cabin. It was a very relaxing stay. We spent a great deal of time out on the dock swimming and "bobbing" around on the floats and fishing at night. The mini fridge in the boathouse was a great idea. Donna was a great host! Always pleasant and easy to talk to. Would highly recommed!!

A great location in a quiet neighborhood and nice flat yard and dock. Checkin was super easy and owner answered several queations forbus before our stay. There was 4 of us there plus our dog. The house has a nice rustic feel with beautiful wood walls and beams. You have access to yard games kayaks and floats for the lake. we used these all! We had torrential rain one day and there were roof leaks in 4 places. the owner was very responsive about this. Hope they get these fixed so the interior wood stays well preserved. The screened porch was one of our favorite locations, but it could use cleaning to remove large piles of leaves in corners and cobwebs on the inside. The swinging bed was a great place for a nap!! We would welcome a return visit here.
