A highly desirable first floor walkout villa in the Villas de Cortes!

The studio villa is located in the Villas de Cortez complex, adjacent to it’s sister property, the Palmas De Cortez Hotel. The ground floor villa is a walk out to the pool areal. The location on the south end of the building provides separation from the restaurant hotel facilities. You can utilize the amenities of the Hotel including the spa, nine hole golf course, tennis courts, charter boat fishing, quad rentals, kayaking or jet skiing.

Our luxurious villa is custom decorated with Tommy Bahama furnishings and opens directly onto the terrace, pool and the beach. It sleeps 2-3 people (1 queen bed and a queen sleep sofa) and bests suits a couple. The villa features a fully equipped kitchen, including dishes, Al-Clad pots and pans, Wusthof knives, travertine countertops, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, blender, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven. iron and hair dryer. The marble bath features a glass enclosed shower. In room internet and DISH TV services are provided free of charge;

You can walk directly out of the sliding door onto the terrace which leads to an infinity pool facing the ocean and uncrowded beach. The infinity pool offers a swim up bar and restaurant. You can dine at the villa or on the terrace. The terrace is professionally landscaped and has comfortable outdoor furniture. A stainless steel outdoor grill is available to grill your catch. This studio villa offers spectacular sunrise/ views over the Sea of Cortez. So spectacular, you are in awe daily.

Our host Cary was fantastic to deal with, great communication and response time was fantastic. His unit is perfect for a couples get away. ground floor makes for easy accessibility and pool facing deck has some privacy. Can not say enough about the owner, property manager or the unit itself!Thanks you Cary.

Beautiful sunrises, clean, and exactly as described

We love Los Barriles and have been here several times, but this is the first time we rented the condo. It was conveniently located on the first floor by the "quiet" pool and 10 steps from the beach. Great studio with comfy queen bed, kitchenette and walking distance to amazing restaurants. Host was very helpful and provided a lot of great recommendations. We would definitely rent from them again!

Best beach location in town!

We keep coming back to the Villas but this was our first time in this unit. There was lots of space for the two of us and a well-equipped kitchen in the unit. We love the convenience of a ground floor unit. Highly recommend Los Barriles and this unit for a short or long stay.

Great place to Stay

Cary’s Condo exceeded our expectations. The Condo is located in a safe gated area that is within walking distance to grocery shops and restaurants. Something else that we really enjoyed about Cary’s Condo was the beach is 30 steps out the backdoor. Truly an amazing place to stay. We look forward to coming back next year.

Excellent location

Loved our stay here . Cary was very attentive to any questions we had. Overall a very good choice for us. Quiet ,great views ability to walk from our unit straight outside to walk on the beach every morning at sunrise. Very safe place too due to security gates . Also a very nice restaurant next door Bay View bar and grill. Definitely will return .

Great Stay in LOB

We had a great stay in LB at the Villas and in this unit. This is our 3rd time renting one of the Villas. I was a little worried about a studio but it had everything we needed for just my husband and I. The bed was comfortable, a great working TV and loved being on the first floor. Cary the owner was great to work with and was quick to respond. We will definatly be back and highly recommend this unit.

Great unit in our favourite location

We love the villas de Cortez and this studio it excellent! Comfy bed. Lots of books, cards etc. for entertainment and the most well stocked kitchen we’ve found so far. Being on the ground floor with a lock box on sliding door is so convenient! Walk out the door of the unit to the pool, beach or other resort amenities. Communication with owner was a breeze and he has put a lot of effort and humour into the guest information package. Everything was as described and we really enjoyed our week in Los Barriles. We will hopefully be back soon!

Awesome Spot !!

The condo was great! Booking was easy and Cary was very thorough with important information regarding the unit. When we arrived, Pedro the property manager welcomed us at the door. He was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Once we entered the condo and opened the back door, the incredible view of the Sea of Cortez and beautiful beach took our breath away! The condo itself was great, it had everything we needed. Just outside the back slider is a bar b q. The unit is attached to the Las Palmas resort and you have full access to their facilities which are very nice with multiple pools, bars and restaurants. Their staff is really welcoming and the food is good. Lastly, the town of los barilles and the people are the best. Everyone was so friendly. What a great stay!!

The perfect oasis

This little gem will exceed your expectations on every level! Yes, the VIEWS are amazing but here are the key take-aways...this unit is 1 of only a few on the ground floor and that, is huge! I love to swim in the moonlight, even at 3am and only from a unit such as this, could I sneak out at all hours. It is obvious that the host loves the same comforts such as nice dishes (large white coffee cups), wine and marg glasses, knives to filet our fish.. the attention to detail was very much appreciated. I cannot recommend this vacation home enough (except for next year when we are back!!). We are avid pickleball players, so LOVED the accessibility to Tres Palapas, but also walked to snorkel beaches, watched an amazing display of kite surfing right from our deck, and dined at the hotel restaurant and fabulous sushi bar. Thank you so much to the host and the property manager, Pedro, who will do everything possible to ensure that your stay is everything you could hope for. Can't wait to be back

A gem in Los Barriles

The studio apartment was perfectly decorated and very clean. Everything you need for a wonderful stay was provided. Cary the property owner was in communication with me from initial booking, prior to my departure to provide weather updates and activity recommendations, and while I was there to make sure all was OK. The studio is a great size, comfortable and has great access to the pools.

Excellent place to stay in Las Barilles

We had a great time staying here. Check in was through the hotel which is part of the same complex. This is also handy because you can use their facilities including the hot tub. Pedro, the property manager always seems to be around to help with any problems. We needed him once when we blew a breaker by using the microwave and toaster at the same time. A little sign might be helpful to prevent this, Cary. The condo was very clean and well equipped. The bed was super comfy, the pillows were perfect and the linen was in good shape. The pool area is nice, but the pools are not heated and therefore quite cool for swimming at this time of year. Nevertheless we spent quite a bit of time in the sun by the pool where you can look out at the ocean. It was fun watching the kiteboarders and windsurfers. You can also walk for miles in either direction on the beach. We liked that the condo is on the main floor and you could walk directly out to the pool area and beach. We used the little patio a lot for breakfast and reading. Cary provided a lot of information regarding restaurants etc. in advance which was very helpful. It is a relatively short walk to town, and to a grocery store. We had a car which was very helpful in getting around from this location. Overall we had a great time here and would recommend Cary and his condo.

We have been visiting the East Cape for 20 years and Villas de Cortez for 6. We love the studio unit when it is just the two of us on the trip. The unit has everything we need, is clean and in a great location. Cary was great to work with and very helpful with any questions. We can't wait to book our next trip!

Lovely condo, fabulous location

We arrived a little early, but that was not a problem and we received the key immediately. I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the finishes and attention to details. This condo is on the ground floor to give you instant access to pool, beach, restaurant and a sweet little patio just outside the sliding door where you can watch the kite surfers from the comfort of your own piece of paradise. It's walkable to shops and restaurants in town, and if you're looking for something, ask any of the locals. They're a friendly bunch. The owner also supplies you with tips for your visit and restaurant and activity suggestions. The condo owner has thought of every possible kitchen need of his guests including a full size fridge. If you need it, it's there. We had barely gotten settled in, when Pedro, the property manager stopped by to introduce himself and to see if all was to our liking. He said to be sure to contact him with any problem. In my condo rental experience this is rare, and I appreciate having a human contact just in case. I highly recommend this rental.

Perfect!!!

We could not have been more happy with our villa. Cary was available for any questions and sent us an awesome amount of information, so that we knew a lot about LB before our arrival. The studio was beautiful, comfortable, and the kitchen was so well equipped that we only ate a few meals out. I love to cook, and being able to cook, walk out to the pool to eat and watch the ocean was exceptional. We had several nights while eating our dinner that the manta rays were jumping out of the water very close and you could see and hear them when they were splashng back in the water. We did not rent a car, nor an ATV. The town is just a very short walk, so we went to the market everyday and ended up actually meeting and greeting some of the locals we got to know. I am retired and enjoy sleeping in - but I easily awoke very early to watch the sunrise. Many mornings my husband and I were alone at the pool, next to the ocean, drinking our coffee, listening to the day come to life and watching those glorious sunrises. We did not fish. We chilled. There are many things to do, but this visit was for R&R. (We did swim with the whale sharks in La Paz, and that was a lifetime dream come true ). We have traveled to many places, and we can truly say this was one of our favorites. We will return - hopefully many times as it is only a 3 hr flight from Cali. There is a peace about Los Barriles - things move slowly - the people are genuinely warm and friendly. Villa 1102 will always be close in our hearts. Thank you Cary!!!

Amazing place to stay in LB!

We've stayed at the Villas de Cortez on several other occasions but this was our first time staying in a studio unit. This is a great place to stay with walk out access to the pool and beach. The condo has all the amenities that you would want. Cary was very helpful and funny in his suggestions about the property and things to do in LB. We stayed there shortly after the hurricane and we were not sure what to expect when we arrived in LB. We were pleasantly surprised that the town was relatively unharmed by the storm and Cary addressed any little issues with the condo immediately. We would highly recommend staying at this property and we look forward to our next visit!

We are a retired couple living in the Northeast. and Los Barriles' offers the perfect getaway. No stress! Baja is a different country from mainland Mexico. People are warm,friendly and gracious. It provides a relaxed beach vibe atmosphere. Our stays are always too short and far and few between.

We first visited Los Barriles during a vacation in Cabo San Lucas in 2007. We immediately fell in love with this subdued, friendly fishing town. Besides the local color, the restaurants are interesting and varied. The fishing and water sports are excellent. The people in Los Barriles are hospitabitable, honest and warm. The uncrowded beaches are perfect for languid, quiet walks, filled with warm ocean breezes, calming surf sounds and seashell finds.

The main attraction to this unit is the "step out the door" open access to the landscaped terrace, infinity pool with swim up bar and restaurant and spectacular azure sea. Our unit is located away from the hotel's facilities, on the quiet end of the property. It is the oceanfront property we have always wanted. With our updated decor, furniture and amenities, we have made our unit in Los Barriles the perfect location to escape and relax.
