Casa La Playa is a five-bedroom upscale home, accommodating 14, offering fun and functionality with added amenities, and is just a 3-minute walk to the beach by a private boardwalk that is also golf cart accessible.
Opulent island living dƩcor greets you as you enter into the open floor plan. The multi-level decks are ideal for sipping a beverage and taking in the ocean air. Relax on the comfy sectional or accent chair with an ottoman while watching your favorite shows on the oversized wall-mounted TV after a long day at the beach. If you are looking to cook a meal for your entire party look no further. This fully stocked kitchen is equipped with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, both a Keurig and regular coffee maker, dishes, basic pots, pans, and utensils. Savor the fresh meals at the large dining table with seating for eight and additional stools for three at the bar. Convenient for guests, the hallway bathroom is comprised of a vanity and tub with tile trim.
At the end of the hall sits the master bedroom (BR1), with modern features in a nautical theme offering a King size bed with nightstands, a wall-mounted TV, a dresser, and an accent chair. The ensuite bathroom consists of two granite-topped vanities and a large pebble tile shower.
The second floor provides four additional bedrooms. The bunk room (BR2) has ample space for the kids to place and is furnished with two sets of Twin bunk beds, a sofa sleeper, an accent armchair, a closet, a wall-mounted TV, and Big Buck and Pac-Man arcade games. The shared hall bathroom includes a granite vanity and tile shower with a bench. The third (BR3) bedroom has a queen-sized bed, nightstands and wall-mounted TV. The fourth bedroom (BR4) offers a plush Queen-size bed, closet, wall-mounted TV, and private access to the back patio, great for sipping your morning coffee. The second master suite (BR5) offers a plush Queen-size bed, wall-mounted TV, and closet. bathroom. The ensuite bathroom contains a granite vanity and a large shower with a bench.

Great location!

We had an amazing stay! The house was well stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms. Bedrooms are spacious. The walk to the beach is short and there are showers by the boardwalk which was nice to rinse off before going back. Would stay here again!

Great Place

Super close to Cinnamon Shores without all the hundreds of people everywhere. This house is a duplex. Upside is its close to the beach, quiet and well kept. One star drop only to personal preference: Right near a pond so the mosquitos are aggressive, small Livingroom and the beds were like sleeping on a rock (hardest mattresses out there). Great place and will consider returning

Port A vacay

Simply a perfect home for our family vacay! The amenities and spaciousness were spot on. Plenty of room for our family. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Plenty of seating, and every room had a large tv. A very short walk to the beach via the boardwalk. House was fully stocked and very clean. Pool was just across the street. The game room in the garage was a really nice bonus for the kids and adults alike.

Wonderful house

Great experience with lots of fun activities in the garage and plenty of room. Across the street from the pool and within walking distance of the ocean. We had a fun time! We could not get the arcade games to work, but who goes to The beach and pool in Texas to play video games?

Everything was mostly wonderful! Clean and spacious! Low on Kitchen supplies considering supposed to supply for 10-14 , pots/pans/plates, big bowls needed, can opener broken and no one brought me a new one when asked.

What a perfect house for the weekend!!

This past weekend, Port Aransas had cold/rainy/windy weather. Knowing this going in, we thought this house would be perfect just in case we could not go to the beach. Man, did it deliver. The garage had a ping pong table, dart board and television which kept the kids occupied as well as arcade games upstairs in the bunk room. Everything was so clean and brand new. The adults could relax on the scenic back porch or on the comfy couches. It was exactly what we needed for the weekend. We will definitely look to stay there again. Thank you!!

Great location. Close to the beach. The living area in the house was small. Not enough cookware and no hot pads whatsoever. The fridge ice did not dispense ice. Also, there was only one door shelf in the fridge. All others were missing. Lights in one bathroom flickered off and on. Some bulbs in kitchen were out.

Condo by the Beach

We held our annual Fatherā€™s Day trip at this condo and it was perfect for the 8 of us; my 83 year old mother, my husband, 2 daughters 15 and 19, my brother and his wife and their 17 year old son. My mom has a tough time with stairs, and there are a few (maybe 5) to get to the main floor, but once there the living room, kitchen, and master that she stayed in were on the same level. The house was clean and spacious and enough room for all of us. We did see a roach, but that can be expected near water. The owner was quick to respond and check in, while scheduled for 4:00, was early and we were able to access at 2:00- bonus! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again when going back to Port A!

Overall very good, but some things could be improved: no glassware (wine, cocktail glasses), TV cable was not attached we had to look in cabinets to find a cable and hook it up ourselves. One video game did not work.

Family vacation

Harder to find than I expected. The property was not marked very well and pictures were not helpful in identifying the property. Maintenance needed attention: only a couple of lights has bulbs that worked in the kitchen/dining area, the kitchen tools and pans were sparse, the dryer was full of water, no broom to sweep the sand up, a/c in separate garage/game room didnā€™t work, tv in living room and master bedroom didnā€™t work. Iā€™m not sure I would stay in this unit again unless maintenance issues addressed. I did take advantage of the vacation gear and that was great!

Great Location - Don't believe the pictures on VRBO

The home itself does have five bedrooms and four baths. Where do I start? The pluses: accommodated our group of 12, HOA pool was loved by the grandkids, the beach is close with a private boardwalk for the HOA and adjacent HOA. Was an outdoor hose for rinsing off. The kids had a good time.The minuses: Cracks everywhere in the main floor tiles, the refrigerator had a broken shelf and was missing door shelving, cockroaches in many rooms, ants in the kitchen, gas BBQ not functioning (finally got it partially working), 4 of the 8 kitchen seats were useable, but needed maintenance, no vacuum or broom (there was a mop there but no pads) - we bought a broom, some lights were burned out, a bathroom fan was not working. With the exception of a working griddle and a stock pot all the pots, pans, dishes, silverware, etc. needs to be replaced. I wouldn't use the pots and pans for my camping gear. No plunger, no first aid kit, no hot pads or oven mitts, no measuring cups, dryer sounds like a jet engine, living room furniture needs a through cleaning or replacement. Probably six hangers in the whole house, now there are 36 more. First beach house I have rented without beach towels. The only tub does not drain at all, the showers have good pressure, the sinks have terrible pressure. Toilet paper is 1 ply sandpaper. Game room dark, dirty, and hot.Bottom line: Other than some interior painting this duplex has not had any maintenance since it was built.
Missing at least two door mounts
Shelf over 1st crisper had a broken support. We removed it to use second crisper.
A clean pillow and a filthy chair.
This is the grill in the VRBO listing. It barely works. Needs to be replaced.

Great location but needs to attention

First I want to say in the description this is listed a house - this is not a free standing house, it is a duplex. Normally not an issue but the second level deck is a shared space with no divider. The main level deck has a divider but when both parties are out there you can easily hear conversations - same issue with the garage hangout space. Other issues included a lot of non-working items that the listings leads you to believe are in working order - these items included the shooting video game, TV in the garage, dart game in the garage, one of the garage doors, many lights in the garage are out, etc. Additionally, the house is listed as sleeping 14, but yet the kitchen table only seats 8 (10 with the 2 barstools) and there are only 8 plates. We had to go buy paper plates so our whole group could eat together. Overall our group did not feel the kitchen was well stocked. There were plenty of pots/pans, coffee maker, but there were no measuring cups nor any glassware for wine. There is a water stain on the master bedroom ceiling that needs to be addressed. Overall the layout of the duplex is interesting. Downstairs has the master bedroom and bathroom plus another full bath but no additional bedrooms. Upstairs has bedroom with bath, plus 3 additional bedrooms that all share the hallway bath unless you want to walk up and down the stairs each time. On the plus side is the cleanliness and location. The walk to the beach is short and easy.

Interesting place

The house was convenient and in an awesome location. There were a lot of photos in the listing to reference but it looks like the warehouse looking one. The beach was a walk away so that was super nice. The biggest issues we had were kids related. There were stairs everywhere, which makes sense it was a 2-story home, but thereā€™s also steps in the entry way had right inside the door and the backyard has stadium seating stairs. the floor wasnā€™t even either; it looks flat till you step some places and then thereā€™s dips under the floor panels. Our dryer was full of water during our stay and they were rather quick to respond and fix it, plus supply us extra towels. Overall it was an interesting stay

Okay, but not as expected (read the cons list)

Pros: - Short walk to the beach, with private boardwalk - Lots of rooms - Most rooms matched expectations from the pictures - Bathrooms and bedrooms appeared clean and orderly Cons: - Front door was very difficult to open. It often stuck and you had to pull very hard to open or close - Kitchens counters did not appear clean, so we had to clean them when first arriving - Dishwasher had dirty dishes in it - Flooring had a few issues. The main dining area had a few planks that were either shifted or were pulling up on the edges. Additionally, there was various spots throughout the whole first floor that had "soft" spots. The biggest offender was the master bedroom, which was soft from entering the room and all the way reaching the bed, some of which were as large as a person's foot (tripping concern). - Ping Pong table was uneven/broken. We could not use it, which was a huge bummer because we were hoping to play it a lot. - Room that had the ping pong table did not look like the pictures. It was sandy and dirty. It was also hot since it was in the garage, and the one fan did not work. - One of the arcade games was also broken. - Dryer was broken. It had significant moisture in the dryer drum and lint screen. They did offer to send maintenance to look into fixing it, but due to only staying for a short time, it was going to become more of a hassle to schedule. - Ants in the kitchen. A huge trail led from a back wall to the stove. - ROACHES!! First night, as soon as the sun went down, we encountered 5 different roaches. On the walls, on the kitchen counters, in and around the couch, bathrooms, we found a roach almost everywhere. We notified the management and they did send pest control. Even following their treatment, we still had roaches afterwards. - Before any meal or using any dish, we had to clean them because there were so many bugs everywhere and we could not be certain they had not gotten back on the dishes. So it was always clean, use, and then clean again for any meal or snack, which is not much of a vacation to clean due to bugs. Out of our family group, we have stayed in this Port Aransas area at various other beach houses, and have never encountered bugs like this.

Nice Condo for 6 Men on a Fishinā€™ Mission

The condo was a great set up with multiple bedrooms and beds for 6 men on a fishinā€™ mission. We enjoyed the space to fellowship and have breakfast and dinner and yet still had our privacy in our room at night. A couple of complaints: the master bedroom subfloor has some pretty serious foot-sized holes in the room entryway that are concerning and create a trip hazard. The master bedroom sleeping pillows were horribly flat and completely useless for pillows. Also, the place needs exterminating. We had ants in the kitchen and saw a water-bug in the kitchen. The mattresses on the bunks are not built for adults. They need to be upgraded to regular mattresses. The thinness of them were uncomfortable for the two men sleeping on them. The place was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our long weekend as this condo being our home base.

Great location!

Beautiful home. Some defects hear and there. Floor needs repaired in one bedroom multiple soft spots. Other than that we enjoyed our family vacation fully!!
