The Lil Carrot is a more sophisticated couple's retreat, with pet-friendly accommodations. The upper level is a private bedroom suite with a queen-size bed, seating area, and wall-mounted television with Apple TV. The new upper bathroom includes a multi-jet. Enjoy the under stairwell bar, canal views, and brand new kitchen with all new stainless steel appliances and gas range in this completly remodeled home. A bathtub is offered in the lower level bathroom. Washer and dryer (installed 2020), new tankless instant water heater, screened-in porch for additional seating, an outdoor dock, and outdoor shower area. Parking area provides 3 large spaces all year. Also enjoy the paddle boards, kayaks and pedal boat, pontoon available.

Lil Carrot was exactly as advertised. Just lovely and well appointed. The host is gracious and welcoming, and she was available quickly when I had a question. I would happily return and recommend it to others.

We had a comfortable and relaxing stay at the Lil Carrot.. We took my husband’s fishing boat so he could explore the 7 connected lakes while I worked remotely. Wi-Fi was consistent and fast . Judi had lots of options for local entertainment as well. The home was well stocked and a new grill was delivered while we were there. Judi is so easy to work with! We highly recommend this location.

Excellent getaway

Cute little cottage by the lake. Fire pit and hot tub was just what we needed for relaxing getaway. Host was fabulous with extras included when we arrived. Will definitely be returning

Super Bowl weekend

This place exceeded expectations. The owner took good care of us and very considerate with little treats throughout the house. Pack light the house is full of the necessities. Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

Love the Little Carrot !!!

This is our 2nd time staying at this location. The host is honestly the best of any VRBO property I’ve stayed at and that says a lot because I travel for work a ton and stay all over the state. This place is always immaculate, she does not skip a single thing you may have forgotten and that’s a fact. The view is beautiful, the cabin is beautiful and the hot tub is always warm. Rent it if it’s available when you’re looking any time of year. You won’t be disappointed.

Family visit and mini vacation

Beautiful place! Clean and beautifully decorated. Judy has stocked so well you can just move in. Little extras in every room that made us smile! Went for walks with my dogs that felt like we were at a camp ground. Peaceful! Went for kayak ride.Sat in jacuzzi at night. Sat on dock drinking coffee in the morning watching 3 swans looking for their breakfast.Loved it all! We will be back!

Cute Cottage

The cottage was just as advertised and described in reviews and full of anything needed. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the host was great. We don't recommend bringing anything larger than a 14' boat as there isn't good parking, the road to the cottage is narrow and nearly impossible to back in or turn around with a trailer. Note that the entire 1st floor is windows with no coverings and there are a lot of night lights. Communication was almost too much, although well intended. It was obvious that the host was nearby and keeping an eye on things. It was uncomfortable and interfered with our ability to relax thinking someone was watching our every move.

Beautiful Weekend Getaway

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time at the Lil Carrot Cottage. We went for a little weekend getaway for his birthday. He is obsessed with fishing, and this cottage is the perfect location to hang out on the lake all day fishing and enjoying the beautiful views. Judy was so sweet and accommodating. She definitely knows how to spoil her guests. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could possibly need away from home. Relaxing in the hot tub by the bonfire was the perfect end to an awesome day. Thank you for everything Judy! We will definitely be back ❤️

Birthday Weekend

Judi is a fabulous host! She provided many detailed touches to the property. It's easy to tell that she enjoys hosting! The kitchen is fully stocked including staple food items. We chose this property for the location and the hot tub, which didn't disappoint. Thank you for the bath robes! Unfortunately, the home was not as clean as we would have liked (pet hair on carpet, dust on bedroom surfaces and cobwebs). A vacuum is provided, but the roller didn't function properly to get the carpets well vacuumed. We looked past it and enjoyed the weekend anyhow. A cozy love seat would be a nice added touch in the living room, as the chairs were not that comfortable. Overall, it was a lovely short getaway and provided much needed relaxation!

Little Carrot Cottage

My husband and I rented the cottage for an extended weekend away for my birthday. The cottage was absolutely beautiful and fully stocked with any and everything you would ever need. Judi was wonderful in making sure we were all set with all the info we would need! Thanks, Judi! The only thing that I would suggest would be a couch upgrade. It provides extra sleep space, but for a lounging at the end of the night, it really was not comfortable. Besides that, I would highly recommend!

Getaway

My husband and I found this lake house and where so excited for our yearly fishing getaway. We have used rentals in the past and never felt so welcome. The host goes above and beyond to make her place so inviting. Fishing is good at the lake even on the channel. A lot of baby blue gill, perch and even bass in the channel. If you are fishing for something bigger I suggest getting on the lake right outside the channel pass the blue house is a rock wall about 600 feet or so found a really good honey hole there with some big fish. The host is quick to address any issues.However, The bed is firm so if your preference is a softer bed I do suggest bringing a topper for the mattress. Thank you again for such an amazing stay!

We left early…

I feel bad leaving a poor review but I feel I have no choice but to share my experience and in fact VRBO suggested I do so. First the good: The house is small but cute on the inside and it is probably the best stocked rental I’ve seen when it came to food, spices, drinks all available to use. The owner did leave us a welcome gift which was nice. Now the not so good: This house is not on a lake, it’s on a mucky channel. There are not pleasant lake views anywhere in the house or outside. While we would expect there to be more bugs by the lake, we were shocked at the number of (large) spiders inside the house. My husband was cooking in the kitchen and a spider fell onto his head from overhead. We opened the front door and a spider jumped out from the inside of the door. They were in corners and windowsills. Anytime we sat down somewhere we checked first to make sure a spider wasn’t lurking behind the cushion. Finally, communication was terrible with the owner. She would not return my calls and texts. I got VRBO involved and they couldn’t reach her either. We were supposed to stay for two nights but found the experience so unpleasant we left a night early.

We loved Lil Carrot ! The location is perfect. Judi was an excellent host that has thought of everything you could possibly need ! The cottage was very clean and looked exactly like the pictures ! We will definitely be back ♥️

Perfect Cottage!

Judi has an amazing space for relaxation. This is by far the most well appointed vacation rental I’ve ever stayed at. It really has everything you need & travel sizes of things you probably forgot. It ended up being colder than expected so we weren’t very adventurous but it was wonderful watching the wildlife, the water & having the fireplace on. Judi is phenomenal to connect with & we will definitely be saving this cottage for the future.
