Great room with everything you need. Amazing view of the beach and ocean. The pool and amenities are great (the gym is not very good, very old equipment but passable). Close to shops and places to eat or grab coffee, so you're not tied to eating around the resort. The beach was amazing. The coral reef is teeming with life just off the shoreline and snorkeling was easy for a first timer.

Great location!

The view was so nice as we enjoyed it daily... and the sunset! It was very clean, comfy bed.

Really enjoyed our stay. The space was perfect for the 2 of us. No need for a TV (there was a large tv) when you have an amazing view of Lanai and the ocean. Evenings on the patio, enjoying the breeze was a wonderful way to revisit the day. Great complex and location. Would definitely stay there again.

Lovely getaway

Beautiful property and this unit was perfect for my short little staycation. Amazing views and nicely appointed room and amenities. Staff was friendly and property management was easy to contact and they provided plenty of clear check-in instructions. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location and nice view of the water

We enjoyed our stay. The resort is having renovations and wasn’t as quiet as previous stays. The unit is well equipped.

First time in Maui. These accommodations were top notch . Clean with great views. Boardwalk in back of hotel goes for miles. Duke’s restaurant located on site. This place great for kids .

A Cozy Little Corner of Paradise

A beautiful clean studio suite. We love staying there but the only thing I can suggest is put more lighting in the kitchen.

Perfect stay!

This rental is amazing. What a view. We are frequent visitors to Maui and this was our first trip back since the fires. We’ve most recently stayed in Lahaina town so needed to look elsewhere. Very familiar with Ka’anapali and chose Honua Kai. We will be back! Highly recommend!

Honua Kai Maui

Honua Kai never disappoints!! From well manicured grounds to pristine pools and lobby area, we are always happy with our accommodations. Room #933 was an absolute delight, with the magnificent views overlooking the resort and ocean. We are planning our next visit already!

Honua Kai

Absolutely wonderful stay. Spectacular view, pool service and we love eating at Duke's but didn't know their breakfasts were so good...plus a small Whaler's Village store on property. My husband had meetings but I had everything I needed here. Large foyer feels like a hotel, not a condo. Quick drive to the busier part of Kaanapali, less than 10 minutes. I'm in love...and w've been coming to Maui and Kauai for 44 years !!!!

Great place!

Great service! Originally when we booked, we didn’t read that they would have scaffolding in front of our balcony so it was a bit upsetting when we go there. We spoke with the property manager and the service was great! We ended up with no scaffolding the last 2 days which was nice. Property was beautiful, ocean was great and the bed was super comfortable. Highly recommend!

Hokulani Tower 933

Staff and grounds were all amazing! The room is a suite, perfect for a couple. The views from the room are great and overlook one of the pools and ocean. Close to Dukes and can hear the live music from your lanai. Great having an ice chest and beach chairs in the room. Can’t complain about our experience here other than the icemaker freezing up. There is an icemaker in the parking garage so we loaded up the ice chest and we were just fine. We will definitely be back!

Paradise

We didn’t want to leave! The room had everything we needed and more. We had a very small issue accessing beach towels but that wasn’t the condo managements fault. I only mention it because I wanted to let everyone know that the property management company was very responsive and fixed the problem immediately. The resort grounds were so clean and the room was immaculate when we arrived. Every morning we had breakfast on the lanai while watching whales (bring binoculars in the winter months). We didn’t want to leave! Mahalo!

Beautiful Views!

We just returned from a great vacation in Maui. We rented this top floor studio so that we could enjoy the ocean views while our little one napped (22 monts old). The rental company was able to provide us with a pack n play and a booster chair for us during our stay which was very nice to not have to worry about renting one privately. We've stayed at Honua Kai before in a different rental unit and the only thing that I would say was a downside was that this unit wasn't stocked with much in ways of say cooking oil, seasonings, or even just complimentary coffee. I didn't necessarily expect those things to be available but at least coffee (seeing as how that's usually what is provided in a hotel stay). I think other than that small over sight I think if coffee could be provided and or if the place was stocked with just a few other random amentities it might be alittle more appealing for the price. But overall we loved the stay.

Room 933 has Nice Views

Lovely complex, clean studio unit, nice little patio with ocean views, ample parking. Kitchen equipped w/ utensils/coffee mkr/skillets, salt/pepper but had no dishwashing detergent, foil, etc. Unless you want to hand wash you must buy dw detergent. They do provided mini 1oz shampoo/cond/soap so bring your own. No blankets supplied, just layered sheets. We appreciated the use of 2 beach chairs, umbrella, soft cooler & the gifted bag of local coffee. The pools are nice. Duke's food is really good & offers dine in & take out. Beach is rocky, need water shoes! Saw turtles at beach and whales from beach & our unit plus decent snorkeling just off this beach. Everything in the unit worked and was well maintained. Negative: Our friends/family renting two other units received huge welcome baskets w/ cookies, candy, lei's, champagne. Their bath was stocked w/ full size shampoo/soap, kitchen supplies & offered use of tons of cool beach gear (boogie boards, snorkle gear, pails/shovels, chairs, wagon to haul items to beach...). They were also easily accommodated in advance with late check-out (at 5pm) where our unit 933 property mgr said no (even for $$) but to call back when we arrived and ask again! When we called upon arrival as instructed they gave us until noon (2 hrs) and then they were knocking on our door at 11:45am & again AT noon. Overall, nice just lacked that vrbo welcome that others received and felt more like holiday inn.

Our standard is to provide all paper & soap products (including dishwasher pods) and our guest experience team is available daily from 8am to 8pm to replenish these items upon request. We also provide a bottle of olive oil and salt & pepper grinders. We are happy to provide extras like foil and plastic wrap upon request. We're glad you enjoyed the welcome bag of coffee and a bag of locally made chocolates. (Your friends got some great baskets!) We’re glad you enjoyed the beach pack of chairs, umbrella and cooler. Due to liability reasons, we do not provide any pool- or ocean-going equipment. The beach directly in front of the resort has some natural rock and coral and is great for snorkeling. To the left of the resort there is sandy, easy access to the water and it’s better for swimming and other beach activities. We were only able to offer a complimentary 12pm late check out as we needed to prepare the home for the arriving guest that same afternoon. We apologize if our team disturbed you prior to 12.
