Penthouse in Purgatory Lodge - Ski in/Out - Awesome Deck and Views

Our 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath 2,600 sq. ft. luxury penthouse condo (Unit 501) in Purgatory Lodge on the Pinnacle Floor offers the ultimate convenience as it is located in the heart of the main Plaza offering convenient access to all of the winter activities at the resort as well as the shops and restaurants. This residence is on the Pinnacle level (5th floor) of the building and offers two story penthouse living.

Purgatory Lodge contains Durango Mountain Resort's premium amenities including ski lockers, outdoor heated pool with slide, hot tub, workout facility, and family game room adjacent to a private restaurant and bar located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the building. There are 2 assigned parking spots (tandem) in the heated garage on the 1st floor of the building. Note there is no access to the Pinnacle Lounge on the 5th floor.

The Lodge's upper floor of the Durango Mountain Club, which includes the private bar and game room, is closed during the off-season when the ski resort isn't open (late fall and April and May)

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time of the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes to stay dates, including changes that result in a shortened stay, are not permitted within 30 days of arrival, and any such changes will result in a penalty. Cancellations or changes that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Great condo, amazing view

We had the best time in this condo. The views were amazing, and plenty of space for our 4 couple trip. Most prime location to hit the slopes, and unit included two free parking spots (we had two massive SUVs and both for no problem). Would highly recommend this unit!!

No one seemed willing to help when issues arose immediately upon check in. Basically the management company of this condo and the resort share responsibility over the unit so we were getting no help and one would blame the other. took 2 days for them to clean the nastiest piles of dog poop off our patio. It wasn't just the poop because it was melted in a pool of poop water. weather was warm and it was hot inside but we could not open windows due to the smell let alone use the patio.

Penthouse was nice and property manager was very helpful whenever there was an issue. It's a little misleading , we were under the impression you could see the slopes from our room based on the pictures. Other then that it was a great stay.

Great Location on mountain

Enjoyed our stay at property. Kitchen needs new pans!! Everything that was in the kitchen was dirty. Glasses, plates.... not sure the dishwasher is doing its job. Also, would recommend having direct TV. Other than that, the beds are comfortable, quiet building. Thank you.

Beautiful Views, not clean, hot

Great views and very spacious! The patio was amazing at night, hot in the morning. The kitchen was well stocked and had great welcome packets. The place was very dusty, smelled like cigars in the enrty way, a very broken screen and closet door in the master upstairs and we found dried boogers on one of our comforters. I told the main contact person and they responded very quickly. I'm not sure I would stay here again due to the cleanliness of the place.

Family Ski Trip 2024

We have been to Purgatory Mountain many times and stayed in several condos there. The location and layout of this condo was very nice, HOWEVER, the condo was filthy. The sheets had boogers on them and the bedspreads had other unknown bodily fluids on them. The pull out sofa was broken. Dishes were dirty (and I know the difference between water scale and filth). On a positive note, after contacting the owner, he got back with us quickly and let us in the cleaning cabinet so we could get a new set of sheets to get us through the night. We had to wash everything the next day. Fortunately the washer and dryer worked well. The cleaning crew needs retrained OR fired!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While this was not the condo we rented, it was really nice. The change was last minute due to a construction delay. I was not happy with the timing of the notification (day before we arrived)but it ended up working out OK. This condo was inside the main building which made it easy for the kids to use the gym, pool, and game room. The view was also nice and we had 2 parking spots. Condo was very clean. We had a few issues (ice maker leaked, dishwasher not cleaning dishes) but the property manager was attentive to our needs. There were not a lot of extra amenities. We had to use the pull out couch for a bed and borrowed bedding from other rooms.

Would recommend this unit to friends.Suggestions for improvements include: website states 2nd Master bedroom is at entry level - it is NOT, it is on upper level. The 2nd Master bedroom NEEDS a TV !The ice maker was frozen over and did not work while we were there. Also, the hot water in shower and bathtub was only warm for a very long time. Only occasionally did it get HOT. I would recommend these improvements to compliment this outstanding property. Thank you, Fred.

Perfect accommodations for the family of the bride!

Our daughter got married at Purgatoy so we needed a space big enough to hold mom and dad, brothers and grandparents. This condo was perfect. Spacious, big dining table, two master suites, and gorgeous views.!
