Charming Hillside Hideaway with great views. NO CLEANING FEE

This is a beautiful, completely remodeled apartment on the ground level of a single family home. The setting is perfect for a romantic get-away or two friends on an adventure. You'll have reserved parking and private electronic entrance. The bedroom has a king sized bed and a comfy, full sized leather futon is in the living room. You'll enjoy high quality linens in the bedroom and bathroom.
The covered patio is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or relax after a busy day. An outdoor swing adds to your relaxation and enjoyment. The yard has comfortable seating, a propane grill, privacy, pine trees, and a great view of the town of Custer and beautiful Black Hills. The bedroom has sliding glass doors that open to a small, private yard.
Enjoy the ambiance of a candlelit fireplace (please, no real fires because of forest fire danger.) Washer and dryer for your convenience. The kitchen has an induction stove top, large stainless sink, toaster oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee pot, tea kettle, blender, and crock pot. If there is anything else you need, just ask and we'll do our best to make it happen. A welcome snack, coffee and teas are provided.
You'll be walking distance to downtown attractions, excellent restaurants, live entertainment, and the Michelson Trail.
Custer State Park is just 5 minutes by car or, hop on your bikes and get there via the Michelson Trail. Custer is a wonderful place and we're happy to recommend activities and businesses we know you'll enjoy.

The property owners reside on the upper level of the home. We are here if you need us but also respect your privacy. Because we're in a residential neighborhood, we request quiet hours from 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM. No parties. Children must be supervised at ALL TIMES. We require NO CLEANING FEE so respectfully ask that you treat our home in a considerate manner during your stay and upon departure.

This place has been our favorite VRBO stay by far. Candace is the sweetest and you feel like you are home from the moment you arrive. We loved getting to spend time in the Black Hills and Custer. We spent most of our time hiking, and Candace was really sweet and gave us some great recommendations. There are deer that frequent the property almost daily. It was such a joy to watch them. If we could give ten stars, we would.

This is one of the nicest Air B&Bā€™s we have ever had the pleasure of booking. Candace thought of everything! It is very clean, the bed is extremely comfortable and the location canā€™t be beat. We had a great time visiting Custer State Park and the Black Hills! We felt right at home and Candace provided recommendations as well as a thorough guest information book. FABULOUS!!

Absolutely one of the best stays we've ever experienced! Quiet, peaceful, cozy and relaxing. Everything we needed to be comfortable and Candace was by far the greatest of hosts. Beds were comfy, shower always hot and everything provided for a "home away from home" stay. Will be staying again in the future with no hesitatation!!

We enjoyed our time at Charming Hillside Hideaway. Our host, Candace, is a very sweet person and very knowledgeable of the area. She responded to our questions quickly and gave us excellent examples of places to go and things to do. It was special to see deer and wild turkeys outside of the house. We will stay there again! Perfect for exploring the area

This was a very clean and big place to stay and nature right outside your door. Deer by the porch everyday. Walkable to downtown and so much to do right by this house. Custer state park was awesome and we easily took 3 days here exploring the entire park and hiking and seeing the animals. Also close to Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse so you could easily go at night for the lights on the memorial. Every single thing she has like spices and baggies and condiments. We cooked on the grill every night. Only negative is you can hear all walking up stairs but she probably could hear us too. We would definitely stay here again, it was fantastic!!!

Fantastic Property

The Hillside Hideaway was a wonderful place to stay. It is a cozy retreat in a quiet neighborhood and has all the amenities of home. It is very clean, the kitchen is well-equipped, the shower is wonderful, and the bed is very comfortable. The host has many welcoming touches (like fresh flowers on the table!) and has thought of everything. Highly recommend staying here!

Lovely place

This was such a clean relaxing and convenient place to stay as our home base for the Black Hills adventure that we had planned. At the end of the day, we loved sitting on her covered porch watching the wildlife. There were a couple of deer families that would cross the property. The mattress was awesome for us. Candace provided everything we needed and more. She was available for any questions we had about the area making recommendations for restaurants and things to do.

Exceptional Rental with Exceptional Host!

We absolutely loved our stay, and Candace was OUTSTANDING!! The rental was clean and very comfortable, with a beautiful outdoor space as well. Candace clearly puts a lot of care in preparing for her guests with clear instructions and so many amenities: games, snacks, toiletriesā€¦even glasses chilling in the freezer when we arrived. She thought of everything! Candace provides excellent communication and makes herself available to help her guests if needed. Iā€™ve stayed in several rentals and Candace stands out as a top host. We LOVED our stay so much!!

Beautiful place to stay!

We had such a wonderful time staying at this property! Candace left no stone unturned with the effort to make sure that her guests always feel comfortable. We felt like we were at home even though we were so far away. It was the perfect place to stay for all of our adventures, being close to everything, and ease of access. Highly highly recommend! We will definitely be back.

Amazing Place to Stay!

This property is even more beautiful than the pictures. Candace is an excellent host. Every suggestion she offered proved to be invaluable! The property was immaculate and had everything anyone could need. Also, the fresh eggs and cookies were over the top. If you plan to vacation in the Black Hills, please stay at Hillside Hideaway. The stay was amazing, brought my gf and her son out to the hills for their very forst time. They loved it. Candace is an amazing host , very commutative and easy to work with. Definitely would stay again! The view of custer from the house is amazing as well!

Convenient location for Custer State Park

Property was very clean and expertly stocked with anything you might need away from home. Had nice outdoor patio, comfortable king size bed and great water pressure in shower. Host seemed very nice and was easy to reach via text. After a day exploring in the Hills it was a pleasure to return to Hillside Hideaway and relax.
