Cozy and quaint, updated 1930 farmhouse on 5 very private acres, adjacent to Forest Service land. Two bedrooms - one on the main level and one on the upper level, a full bath, well-equipped kitchen and a covered porch with a swing to watch the fabulous sunsets. Two fenced areas for your fur babies, and half of the 2-car garage is available. 3 miles to downtown Custer, 5 miles to Custer State Park, 8 miles to Crazy Horse and 23 miles to Mt. Rushmore. Fishing and hiking everywhere! Come and enjoy! For our guests safety and security of the property, the property is equipped with an exterior video security system with (4) cameras located at 1) front door bell showing the entrance gate and partial patio, 2) storage building to the East approx 40 feet from the house showing the East side of the house and entry gate, 3) on North side of garage showing the parking & garage area and 4) on the West side of the house showing the West yard.

We couldn't have chosen a better place to spend a few days. The farmhouse had everything we needed. It was minutes from Custer while still being completely private. Should we be able to return to this area again, we'll definitely try to stay again!

Perfect location, a few miles from Custer. Easy access to all the Black Hills trails and Mt Rushmore. The house has all the amenities needed, super clean, amazing view of a meadow with morning coffee. Well maintained fencing if you bring a dog. We saw deer, coyote, turkey on the property. Stay here!

Very private and family friendly place. We stayed with our two kids, 1 & 3 year old. The kids loved playing in the backyard, walks up and down the driveway, the porch swing, and watching the deer. My husband enjoyed the hot tub and how nice and peaceful the enitre property was.

Relaxing stay in the woods

The location of this farm house is close to everything you want to see and do but also in a country, private setting. Having the little fenced area in the back for our dogs was so convenient as we usually have to take them out on leashes when we are on vacation. Would definitely stay here again if we come this way in the future.

Perfection!

This little farmhouse is perfect! Its clean, quiet and very peaceful. The fenced yard was perfect for our 2 dogs, plenty of room for them to run and play. The inside is charming. Pretty much anything you might need is supplied. The hot tub was great after a long hike. The covered porch and porch swing is the perfect spot to have your morning coffee or watch the sun set. We've stayed in many different cabins in the area over last 15 years and this one by far is the best! Thank you for a relaxing stay.

Custer Farmhouse

This farmhouse is a gem. Very cozy and charming home with beautiful property to enjoy wildlife. Peaceful and quiet but very convenient for the many adventures in the Black Hills. The kitchen was well stocked and made cooking easy. The fenced areas were perfect for the dog and we could sit on the swing while he played in the yard. The hot tub was very nice especially after a day of hiking. We would stay here again.

Quiet Retreat

We have stayed at a number of VRBOs over the years and this one was in our top 3 for sure. We stayed with our 2 teens and Pup. The house had all the amenities we needed. The home was comfortable and cozy and within a short distance to all of our hiking and sightseeing adventures. It was a peaceful place to come back to after a long day of hiking and my kids certainly loved having the hot tub. Communication with Carrie and Gregg was also great! We highly recommend this farmhouse!!!

Cozy and quirky home in the woods next to town

This stay was memorable and has plenty of character. Best for those planning to use 2 beds. Very dog friendly setup, made it possible to enjoy the national parks without boarding. Small water heater, take short showers. Charming place.

Mother/Daughter/Dogs Holiday in the Hills

This is such a fantastic property. Beautiful, secluded location and thoughtfully appointed home. The hosts have thought of everything, providing everything needed for a carefree vacation. The fenced in areas provide the most fabulous private dog park that our dogs thoroughly enjoyed (if bringing dogs, please remember to pick up after them so this privilege remains!). After exploring the Black Hills area during the day, it was such a delight to come back to the home, relax in the hot tub, then make dinner in the most well outfitted kitchen we have encountered in a short term rental property. This will definitely be our first choice when visiting the Black Hills area!

Great house to enjoy the Black Hills

Enjoyed our stay here tremendously. House was well equipped and had everything we needed. Location was perfect, quiet secluded property and a great location to access Custer State Park. Dogs loved having the fenced yard…and so did we. Would definitely stay here again when we come back to the area.

Peaceful location

This home was a delightful retreat. Nestled in the trees, it provided privacy, quiet, and relaxation. The large, fenced yard was perfect for our dogs to roam about in, and the view from the porch swing was peaceful. At night, we enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and gazing at the stars. The home itself was comfortable, well equipped, and cute. We would definitely stay there again.

Cozy, quiet, and convenient!

Just what we needed. Perfect place for our stay. Everything was excellent! Bonus- furbabies were welcome and they loved the fenced in yard! Another bonus is that we got to see turkeys and deer!

South Dakota vacation

We loved our stay at your adorable farm house. The house was fully stocked with everything you could need. We had so much fun watching the wildlife from the hot tub and sitting out on the swing. Such a cozy home away from home. We would definitely book again if we are ever back in the area.

Ideal cabin in the hills

It is a heavenly place to stay! It was super quiet and very comfortable. There is a fenced area on two sides so it was nice we could let out dog out in the night and not have to worry about him running off. It is very close to Custer to pick up that last minute cooking item. The house sits back from the road far enough we did not hear any traffic. Internet and TV were good. We were able to check in for work and connect accordingly. The kitchen was well stocked. We would definitely stay here again!

Home Away From Home

Our family absolutely loved staying at the farmhouse. The property is beautiful and the house is so very sweet. After our days of exploring SD it was nice to relax and enjoy the swing and hot tub while watching the variety of wildlife. Thank you!!!

Quant and peaceful

The cabin is nice and the scenery is beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing on the porch being we had amazing weather during our stay. Pros: Beautiful scenery fully furnished away from the hussle and bussle of the area Cons: 1. Misleading listing of 3 Queen beds. There 1 Full bed, 1 Queen bed and 1 Queen size air matress. 2. Moths, moths, MOTHS... I don't know if it was the time of year or if their cleaning person isn't doing their job correctly, but we killed around 100 months in 8 days. 3. Grill fire.. The grill was very dirty and we ended up with a fire on the grill without any food on it. It was heating up to cook with and the fire happened. Thankfully they have everything stocked so we used baking soda and put it out, then cleaned the grill so that we could use it. Dispite the cons, I would recommend the place and would stay there again. I do not believe it is the owner, but the cleaning persons failure that cause us any issues.

Simple Beautiful

We had an absolutely amazing stay. The Farmhouses is a perfect location for couples and families looking for that quite seclusion in a country setting. The owners were very accommodating and reached out to us before, during and after our stay to verify that everything was perfect. It was very apparent that the owners take pride in their facility. The Farmhouse was clean, well decorated and had no structural issues. Simply Beautiful. We look forward to our next stay.

Quiet setting in the country

Farmhouse offered tranquil setting after our daily adventures. Supplied anything you would need for kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Great spot for relaxing in the hot tub while watching deer nightly. We would definitely stay again if we travel to the area!
