South Chatham cottage walk to beaches, dining, tennis, shops, bike path.

This cottage is an affordable Chatham getaway destination for a couple or small family who want to experience Cape Cod. Located south of Route 28 and close to all that South Chatham has to offer. Within walking distance of beaches (0.7 miles to Forest Street beach and overlook with walking trails), free public tennis (Judy's Lane), restaurants (Drifters, Pisces), shops, roof top boat launch (Mill Creek), and the bike path.

Amenities include washer/dryer, WiFi, flat screen smart TV , gas grill, outdoor shower, and firepit.

Short drive into Chatham Center or Harwich Port for many more activities - more saltwater beaches, lakes and ponds with swimming and boating, clamming, fishing, fine dining, seal watches, the Fish Pier, Lighthouse, public boat launch, and much more. Cape Cod National Seashore and Hyannis airport/ferry/museum are well within a 1 hour drive.

Saturday to Saturday weekly rentals from late June to late September.

Important things to know:

1. Tenants must supply their own linens.

2. There is no A/C, but there are fans for those days with no cooling sea breeze.

3. Sorry, no pets allowed out of consideration to future guests, and our own family members who are breathing challenged by pet hair.

Extensive large improvement projects and smaller updates were completed over the 21/22 off-season: new windows and window treatments, new floors, interior doors, new front yard walkaway, new driveway, and new backyard patio were the projects. A Keurig coffee machine, BOSE sound system, new Weber gas grill, and outdoor patio lighting were added as new amenities.

Off season (October to May) rentals would be considered, please inquire for details.

The house was well equipped, in a quiet neighborhood, close to beaches and amenities. It was very relaxful. Loved the outdoor shower. The only downside was the house smelled very musty when we first arrived. We opened all the windows to air it out. The owner touched base with us after we arrived. She was notified of the situation.

South Chatham Cottage

Very nice place for a couple or a family of up to 4. Great location if you want to be not far from the action (Chatham Center), but in a quiet neighborhood! Walking distance to the Forest Beach - one of not so many free parking beaches in Cape Cod!. Important! Very well equipped kitchen if you like to cook yourself sometimes. Overall enjoyed our vacation!

Impeccably clean, cozy but sizable house in a fantastic location

A wonderfully convenient, cozy house ideally located walking distance to a beach and a river. Everything was clean and in working order, and the host was prompt and responsive in all communication. The house is more spacious than the photos made it look, which was a wonderful surprise.

Wonderful Stay

The property had everything you'd want for a vacation near the beach. The host left a cart, chairs, and beach toys for our use. The house was practical and functional. There were books, games, and a television/entertainment center. Plenty of kitchen dishes, utensils, and pans for cooking meals. There was a book containing all sorts of information about the area and house rules. We communicated with the host a couple of times and was very responsive and helpful. The location was terrific, within walking distance to the beach, conservation area, tennis court and playground, and within short driving distance to the grocery store and Chatham. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay, house, and contact with the host. We definitely would stay again.

2 weeks on the Cape

The house was perfectly located for access to the entire Cape. Walking distance from both Forest Beach and the nearest ice cream shop.

Second Annual Beach Week

My Niece and I came back for our second annual vacation. With all the crazy weather we’ve been having, it was still the perfect week!! Such a central location for all of the local tourist attractions. Mini golf, go karts, glass blowing museum, lavender fields, the pier, and of course the beaches! We had a time! With all the amenities at the house, we were never without something we needed. We always felt safe and secure. Such a great beach house! Thank you for a great time!

Vacances très sympathiques!!

Belle semaine de vacances, bien remplie, avec un autre couple d’amis. Randonnées vélo, parties de tennis, paddleboard, plages… tout est vraiment à proximité!! Pour ce qui est de notre location, aucune mauvaise surprise. Tout y était, tel que décrit et vu sur le site. L’air climatisée nous a peut-être un peu manqué car météo assez chaude mais nous en étions conscients lors de la réservation. Commodités, vraiment complet!! Aménagement extérieur avec douche, avons beaucoup apprécié. Nous avons aussi eu la chance de croiser notre hôte, Peggie, TRÈS sympathique!!

Family vacation

Had a great week. Home was well kept and had just about everything you would need for a weeks stay. Nice brick back patio with grille, umbrella table and chairs, outdoor shower was key. Close to three beaches and they provided plenty of beach chairs and a cart. And a game closet. Only drawback was no AC but we didn’t have too hot a week so that wasn’t an issue. Overall we would recommend the home. Owners seemed very nice

We had the best time at this centralized location! Such a cute, clean property! Perfect for a week away to just relax and unwind. Plenty of beaches near by and the house has all of the things you need for beach days if you don’t bring your own. The outdoor shower is amazing and I love that their is a washer and dryer!!! I can’t say enough about this place!! We will definitely rebook!!!!

Friendliest Chatham Trip

The cottage was perfect for what we wanted. Small, nice kitchen and close to everything. The owners were kind, friendly, and great at communicating whenever we needed something. This home had a supply stock of everything you needed. Just bring your own linens and towels. We are gonna be back!

Good location, but needs a deep cleaning

Although the location and neighborhood are great the inside of the property needs alot of cleaning. The carpets have stains and there were dead bugs throughout. It smells mildewey, theres no AC due to having all crank out windows (we were there on an extremely hot and humid week) and given of the above (including the front door handle breaking/falling off) we opted to leave and stay at a hotel for the remainder of our trip.

Cute house on the cape

This house was in a great location- walking distance to a small beach and an easy drive to other towns and beaches on the cape. The house was great for a family of four, and although there is only 1 bathroom, there is a functional outdoor shower as well.

Plenty of Ice

Convenient location. Great outdoor shower. Comfortable couches and beds. Plenty of fans. All the kitchen amenities you could ask for. Ice maker kept up with my cocktailing. Plenty of generously provided extras. Doesn't look like your traditional Cape house but it was perfect for everything we needed.
