Granit House. Mid-Century Modern with Pool, View, & privacy.Dog and Kid friendly

After three months of a complete renovation of the former Granit Hotel owner's house from the 1950's, we are finally open for rentals. The house has four bedrooms and three full bathrooms and one 1/2 bathroom. Two living rooms, dining room, huge kitchen, office with sofa bed and a ton of very private outdoor space including a saltwater pool. We built this house for families, groups, dogs, and kids, this is a house to have fun in. The house is 2 hrs from NYC via New Paltz off the 87 freeway.
This house was built for the original owner of the Granite hotel that sits down the road. It is a big house with big views and total privacy. We have totally renovated the interior and exterior with new bathrooms, floors, windows and doors, pool deck, Fencing, kitchen upgrade, and the addition of a room that opens directly onto the pool deck. This house is very spacious with lots of spaces for people to be together or have private time. Also has a couple of workspaces with desks. We have high-speed internet so everyone can be online at the same time. The saltwater pool is 18 x 28 and 8 feet deep at the deep end, but with a 10 ft shallow area for young ones. The pool area is completely fenced in with child-safe locks. The access through the downstairs door or the stairs from the upstairs must be monitored by yourself to insure your child's safety. It is open from early May to about mid-October. Lots of inside and outside games for all ages. Huge fully equipped inside kitchen or cook on either a gas or charcoal Webber grill outside. This house has been built for living and having fun, so we have very few rules and simply say "if you break it, please let us know so we can discuss with you how to replace it" Dogs are very welcome at this house and the grounds are ideal from dogs to run around and have fun, we just ask you pick up after they have done to the toilet on the grass. The pool area is completely fenced in so you can let your dog roam free without worry they might run away.
The house is fully stocked with sheets, extra blankets, towels, pool towels, a full kitchen, and pantry items. In the kitchen, we provide caffeinated coffee and a selection of teas and have basic pantry items like salt, pepper, herbs, ketchup, mustards, oils, flour, and so on. We also stock a selection of emergency items like stock, canned tomatoes, pasta, and so on, which we simply ask that if you use them, you replace them for the next guest. In the bathrooms, we have hand soap, body soap, Q-tips and cotton pads, extra toothbrushes, toothpaste, and razors. We do supply basic Shampoo and conditioner but we suggest Bringing the shampoo and conditioner of your choice. We do have blowdryers, an iron and ironing board, a washer (with washing liquid provided), and a dryer for your use.
Additional amenities include a grill, fire pit, and picnic table with mountain views. Nearby hiking trails at Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Mountain Preserve and Vernooy Kills are all less than 20 minutes away. The closest "real town" is Stoneridge about 10 minutes away that has a great supermarket and drug store. Our house manual will provide a full listing of local activities, shops, and restaurants.
The house has been totally renovated with new bathrooms, floors, windows, kitchen, and decks. Please let us know during your stay if anything does not work properly so we can fix it as quickly as possible.
