Great family vacation at Allegranza

Everything about this family trip was great but most especially the condo we stayed in at Allegranza! The staff were freindly and helpful, the unit was beautifully maintained and the pools on premises were wondeful. We defintiely plan on returning.

Nice views, but overall disappointing

First, the positives. The location of the condo units is good, next to town and not too far from surfing beaches. The views from this penthouse unit were amazing. Unfortunately, other glitches and issues make me give only 3 stars. The jacuzzi, a big selling point in the pictures, is not continually heated. You must turn it on (one switch operates jets and heat) and it takes an hour to heat up. But, you can only turn the switch for maximum one hour. So you must time your jacuzzi precisely. Turn on too soon and it will automatically turn off unless you turn switch again. You can't preheat while you are gone. This made jacuzzi much more difficult to use. Beds were not too bad, but linens poor quality, and we often didn't have enough (or clean) towels. One day we returned from beach and housekeeper had not come that day at all. We inquired and were told she was already gone, and didn't come it because we didn't answer door (what, we were at beach!). I couldn't find hair blowdryer in master, called to get another one and told they didn't have one, although finally found one in the other bathroom. No instructions for TV, and we could only find two stations in English (CNN and FOX). The TV armoire in master had cabinet doors that just stuck out dangerously if opened to watch TV. I would not choose to stay again.

Spacious with Fabulous Views!

This is the 4th year we've stayed at Alegranza - so we are already fans. What stands out about all the condo units is that they are spacious, quiet, clean and have fabulous views. The staff are super friendly, helpful and unbelievably hardworking! Consider the property was hit by Hurricane Odile in September 2014, and by December when we checked in the gardens were beautiful, the condo unit immaculate. Clearly the management and staff had moved mountains to get it into that great shape! Shows you how they care about what they do. We love the location, you can walk to the old town or new downtown, (i.e Mega/Starbucks etc.). We don't rent a car unless we want to travel further for day trips. The bus system is very convenient for getting from one end of town to another - or there are taxis to hail if you do a big grocery shop. The unit we were in this year was a penthouse unit, well appointed with comfortable furniture and modern decor. We have stayed in other units and always been totally satisfied - all had that super view which is what we are looking for when on vacation.

We'd recomend Alegranza and go back in a heartbeat

We had but one criticism....back in Cherry Hill NJ we did not experience the genuine warmth and hospitality of EVERYONE we encountered at Alegranza and it made ending a vacation quite the bummer. From the fellow at the gate, to the Concierge, to the maintenance people, to the waiters, to all of the help, on up to Management...no one could go out of their way more to make our stay as enjoyable as it was. beautiful accomodations and I'm convinced after Management offered and made our reservations for deep sea fishing, they even ensured the 120 pound marlin and 10 pound mahi mahi latched on to our hooks. Thank you Alegranza

Alegranza Los Cabos

Alegranza lives up to its billing. We stayed in a 3 bdrm. penthouse, which was absolutely beautiful, and had a beautiful ocean/coastline view. The apartment was very spacious and had an enitre working kitchen (granite countertops, stainless steel appliances) and laundry facility, which made life very convenient. The 2 story outdoor living area (really!) was amazing, complete with an outdoor kitchen and hottub. Alegranza has two beautiful pools connected by an outdoor eating area where you can order lunch. The restaurant (open for dinner) was one of the best in which I've ever eaten. The staff is excellent--our air conditioning broke and was fixed within 15 minutes of our call. There is all kinds of shopping nearby, from a Walmart in a shopping center, to the center of town, which is lovely and quaint. We plan to return soon--this was one of the best vacations we ever had!

Luxurious Vacations at Alegranza

My family has just returned from a one month stay at Alegranza. And for the first time ever, we were actually sad to leave. Generally when you find a vacation rental online (but most especially internationally), you are a bit skeptical on whether the place is actually accurately represented online. But when I first found Alegranza online, I fell in love with it... most especially with the penthouse unit. The rooftop balcony looks breathtaking in the photos and I quickly showed them to my husband and we HAD to stay there. So we booked the penthouse unit... and patiently waited until our trip arrived. When we arrived at Alegranza, we were definitely NOT disappointed! We rented the 3 bedroom 3 bathroom penthouse unit, and the online photos are true representations of the actual unit... however, I must say that in person, it is much more beautiful! The photos cannot truly show the beauty of the ocean view... nor can I really explain to you the serenty and tranquility that just being there gives you. And the rooftop patio is just unbelievable! We loved having dinner up there! It was an amazing experience! The master suite is extremely large and luxurious! The bathroom area includes a separate shower, separate bath tub, and large dressing area as well. It has a great view of the water and access to the patio as well. The second bedroom seems like a second master suite to me. It is also large and include a bathroom as well. It has a small balcony but has an amazing view of the water! The last bedroom is a bit smaller but still very cozy and nice! The 3rd bathroom is right outside that room. Alegranza also has 3 very large and nice pools onsite! They have a wonderful staff onsite to assist you with your needs! They were extremely nice and hospitable during our stay. We were sorry to leave them! There is a delicious restaurant onsite called Alegria which offers room service, take out or dining there. Everything we had there was really great and we ended up eating there quite a few times! They also have 24 hour security so it is very safe there. In fact, San Jose del Cabo itself is a very safe town. Alegranza again is located in San Jose del Cabo and is 10 minute walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk in the other direction to the town where there is shopping and restaurants... More than a hotel, Alegranza offers you the option of being at a luxurious "home" while vacationing in Mexico. And all for a reasonable price.

An amazing time

I just stayed in this beautiful 3 bd penthouse and I must admit it was way above my expectations,….the qualities of this unit were amazing, the kitchen was fully equipped and beds were really comfortable. The service was amazing, polite and friendly…from the concierge to the restaurant (room service, very reasonable price and great food !!),and we could walk to the beach, down town ( best shopping and restaurants can be found), and the supermarket The roof top terrace is huge and has terrific unobstructed views to the whole San Jose Bay…the best in town by far…reason why we had dinner most of our days outside We felt very private by the pool and Jacuzzi areas, we did not find hardly anybody, so this was like the complete opposite of an all inclusive hotel We will definitely come back!

Great Place

Nice Place! Great Access to town and beach club! Nice vibe. Great views. But what makes it a winner is the owners of the whole complex. Spanish owned and run, Javier and crew will bend over backwards to make you stay perfect. They run a tight ship and don't do thing sloppy. Feel secure that you are in good hands with them. we booked this without viewing and now live in Cabo. This is the place we holed up while looking for a long term home. Rarely to you pick a perfect place over the internet, but this one was really great. The best in show for Condos.
