Private Getaway With Beautiful Views

If you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy privacy, peace, and quiet, "Forest View" is the home for you. Located just outside a gated community on a private road, this guest house is centrally located and perfect for a short or long term stay.

The home is easily accessible with no outside or inside stairs and curbless showers. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals (including a variety of herbs/spices, oils, and vinegar, ). We also supply coffee (Keurig and Mr. Coffee), tea, and hot chocolate.
There is a Generac whole-house generator for those unexpected and PG&E-scheduled power outages. There are smart tv's in every room to enable access to your favorite shows and high speed WiFi for all of your devices. We have a level two 40 amp car charger (adapter needed for Teslas) available for a small fee.

Enjoy the spectacular views and sunsets on the large deck including dining for six, a gas fire pit, a gas grill, and a Blackstone gas griddle.

Children are welcome. However, the home is not child-proofed and may not be suitable for children under five.

Owners are located on the property if anything else is needed. (Your privacy is very well respected.)

This was our second time staying at Forest Meadows and we just love it here. Gracious hosts, tons of privacy, and peaceful views. Spacious enough for a family or 2 couples with everything you can think of. Fully stocked kitchen, laundry, tvs with Netflix, beautiful bathrooms, and an amazing master closet. Perfect location for visiting Murphys or Arnold or a day trip to the snow. We also just spend a lot of downtime inside because itā€™s that relaxing here! We love it here so much and are already planning our next stay! Cannot recommend enough!

Lovelyā€”SO quietā€”guest houseā€¦perfectly nestled in the trees, it feels like a tree houseā€”but equipped with a beautifully stocked kitchen and everything you need to enjoy your time away!! So grateful that we found this spot!

Lovely Place to Explore Murphys and Surrounding Area

We visited Calaveras Big Tree park and Mercer Cavern. It was an anniversary weekend to relax in nature. Our hosts, Arlene and Adam, could not have been more welcoming. Their place is beautifully decorated, has an amazing kitchen and a stunning view. Highly recommend!

Calaveras Getaway

We visited the area to attend Murphysā€™ Irish Days with friends who live in Laguna Hills. This was their first visit to a historical Gold Country town. After experiencing the parade, other festivities, great food, shopping and people watching, we were ready for Arlene & Adamā€™s private getaway. Their property is well maintained, the home is well appointed, and the views well worth the drive up the hill. When we had questions or issues to resolve, Arlene was quick to respond to ensure we had a lovely stay. When we have the opportunity, weā€™ll stay there again.

Gorgeous Getaway

Adam and Arlene have a beautiful guest home with woodsy views. The home is even more gorgeous than pictured and fully stocked with everything you could need. Property is great for relaxing, enjoying movies, and a nice location on the way to bear valley. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen and beautiful bathrooms. The deck has a fire pit with great views as well. Adam and Arlene were very attentive and helpful, yet respectful of our privacy. We loved the stay and hope to visit again!

Perfection!!

All it took was stepping through the front door of this amazing home to know that we were in a very special place! Gorgeous, secluded views of the oak-studded hills, a beautiful upscale interior that met our every need and more, thoughtful hosts who were available to help but respected our privacy, all provided us a perfect 4 day stay in the Murphys area. Our favorite highlights were the stunning deck with the gas fire pit, the perfectly appointed kitchen including snacks, coffee & a lovely welcome note, and the spa-worthy bathrooms. Everything You Need in a Secluded Setting

Located in the far reaches of the Forest Meadows area you find a super clean house with a large deck area overlooking the hills filled with oaks and pines. I loved the outdoor deck with a propane BBQ and Blackstone griddle. Cooked multiple meals including bacon/eggs/potatoes and perfectly seared ribeye steaks on the griddle. The house has everything you need and more for a comfortable stay including a fully appointed kitchen with top quality pots, pans, bowls, cooking utensils, large refrigerator, gas stove and everything else. My wife loved the plethora of quality towels, bath products, comfy bed and linens, and how clean everything was on arrival. The owners are local and super friendly and helpful. Close enough to Murphys, wine tasting, and Calaveras Big Trees but far enough away to give you the solitude of a wonderful vacation.

Quiet yet close

The house is perfect for a quiet getaway. It is tucked back away from the hustle and bustle and has a great view! We were close enough to all of the attractions so that exploring the area was easy. Arlene and Adam were great hosts! Nice personal touches and coffee, bottled water, and snacks available as well. The house is comfortably furnished with a warm homey feeling. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay : - )

Incredible home with an amazing view!

We can not say enough good things about this property! Arlene and Adam did not skip a beat in making sure every and I mean EVERY amenity was taken care of. The house is gorgeous and literally has what you need to make your stay amazing...down to the bath bombs! :)~ Arlene was very responsive and available if we needed her. We are definitely coming back, it was so worth the trip!!

Toasty Stay in Murphy's

We picked the hottest days of the year to visit, just lucky I guess. The house is beautiful and very well appointed. Owners are close by and very available when we had questions. Beautiful view. The kitchen is better appointed than my one at home. Thanks for a comfortable stay.

Perfect home for secluded getaway

We had a lovely weekend at this comfortable house that perfectly suited our needs. We had easy access to Murphy's but were able to find peace and relaxation at this private location away from the crowds.

Home away from home

This truly is a home away from home. Bring your personal belongings and you will want for nothing else. Everything you need is already there for you. We spent Christmas 2024 here and we cooked, baked, bbq, skied, laughed, sat by the fire and made memories. The cabin is immaculate and everything from the moment we confirmed our booking until we left was seamless. Owners were wonderful and great with communication. There is acres and views for days so while the owners are on property they are extremely respectful. And honestly it was comforting to know they werenā€™t too far in case we needed anything which we didnā€™t. We are looking at the calendar now to see when we can go back. This is truly a very special property.
