Romantic Get-A-Way close to nature.

The Annex is ideal for couples. Beautifully furnished, charming and spacious. Nestled on a knoll overlooking an acre of trees and wild flowers. In a quiet neighborhood of well cared custom homes, with wide streets that are great for walking.

The living room and fully equipped kitchen have new hardwood floors, a log burning fireplace, HDTV, blu-ray, dvd/cd player. A sliding glass door opens out to a redwood deck which is nestled under a huge 500 year old oak tree with a beautiful view of the Penn Gulch Valley. It is great for bird watching and enjoying your morning cup of coffee.

The tranquil bedroom is fully carpeted with a large closet and mirror, the separate bathroom has his/hers sinks with a tub/shower.

Home has new forced air heat and comfortable air conditioning. All furnishings are new. Fresh linens, quality dishes and cookware are provided. This home is the perfect gateway location to explore the Central Sierra Region, Wineries of the Gold Country and Art Galleries. Murphys is known as the “Queen of the Sierras”.

Wonderful Place to stay!!

I went to Murphys for a wedding and need a place to stay. I saw the annex and decide to go with this place.I was so happy with the place! Nice and clean and the view from the deck was awesome! Im going back for sure with my hubby.

Great experience

Very quiet and cozy home, well furnished and equipped for all your needs, little home is decorated beautifully and comfortably, great home away from home, away from the hustle of town but close enough to it!

What a charming retreat!

We had such a great weekend and relaxing getaway! Beautiful accommodations and well thought out right down to the fully stocked kitchen! The privacy and serene atmosphere makes it feel like you are hours away from the Bay Area but it's a simple two hour drive. Minutes away from great restaurants and wineries and did I mention shopping! Also beautiful hikes and day trips

Home away from home in the Gold Country

Thanks to Larry and Nikki for a fantastic stay in the Gold Country. We could not have asked for a better place to stay during our recent visit for a friend’s wedding reception in Murphys. The Annex provided us with an infinitely better option than staying at a hotel. The accommodations were of the highest standard. We were self-sufficient with our own kitchen and Larry and Nikki made us feel very much at home, even inviting us over to their place to watch the end of the Warriors game 4 in the NBA Finals.

We LOVED this place!!!

What a wonderful surprise this little place was! Quiet, clean, tidy, comfortable, relaxing. Has a European feel. We would not hesitate to recommend this to other travelers and we actually already have to another couple we met at the Ironstone Winery car show. Enjoyed early morning coffee on the deck as we watched deer stroll the yard below. This is about 2 miles from the center of the town of Murphys. Hard to find lodging in the town of Murphys when they have events in going on. This was worth the 2 mile drive. We will most definitely return.

Priced right

Pros: Nice setting, quiet , clean Pleasant owners who were easy to work with and respected your privacy priced right close to downtown Murphys by car well appointed kitchen Cons: bed squeaked and you could feel other person shifting position-it is a queen ,would be nice if it was a king no instructions for tv living room rather dark accommodations smelled of smoke ( from previous guest who smoked? or from fire in fire place?)

Oh dear, I am so sorry you did not enjoy our place as much as others have. You and I did have prior communication regarding my concerns that it was a queen size bed and possibly would be a little uncomfortable for you and your adult daughter. I have added a picture to our photo library of the living room with all the lights on at night, I apologize that there were so many switches. Yes, I agree it may have smelt a tad smokey, the couple the weekend before had enjoyed a romantic weekend with a log fire (but rest assured it was definitely not cigarette smoke).

Great Weekend Getaway

This property is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood on the west end of Murphys. We were in town for a wedding and pleased to find the Witches’ Walk festival was going on! The property was very clean and comfortable, with easy access and great household amenities. Directions for the stay and check out were understandable and easy to achieve. Great place! Thank you for sharing!

Clean and cozy!

We had a wonderful stay at the Annex! It was very clean which I appreciated. It’s the perfect spot for a couple looking to getaway to a nice quiet place. It’s a very short drive to the downtown area and there’s a lovely winery at the end of the road. The hosts were awesome and made sure our stay was pleasant! The apartment is connected to their main house but that was not a problem for us, still lots of privacy!

Nice accommodations in a beautiful neighborhood

We typically stay closer to downtown Murphy's but were unable to find anything during a concert weekend. We lucked out and found this gem. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable. The deck with all of the different birds and squirrels is lovely and the neighborhood is just a short drive from downtown - quiet and peaceful. The owners are very hospitable and responsive. Definitely recommend!

Everything we wanted and more.

This is a one bedroom, 1 bathroom house with a kitchen and living room. The place was very clean and the bed was comfortable. My wife and I usually stay in downtown Murphys but I slacked on getting reservations and everything was booked. Thankfully so because we would not of found this peaceful gem. Will definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed our time in the Sierra Foothills

Property was clean and comfortable. Well stocked with the things we needed in the kitchen. Back deck was perfect for morning coffee. Neighborhood was good for walking and we were able to walk to the close by winery which has a beautiful spot to sit by a pond and enjoy a glass of wine. Property is about 5 minutes drive to downtown Murphy's which has a great downtown area to stroll through and check out shops or find new discoveries for food. Nikki and Larry were gracious hosts and had inciteful recommendations for restaurants and things to do. We had a great weekend.
