Situated on the beautiful East Twin Lake, White Birch Cottage offers a private setting surrounded by nature. East Twin boasts some of the cleanest water you’ll find in the area, so taking the kayaks out for a swim is a must do! Whether you enjoy spending the day swimming or fishing from your own private dock, taking in a book on your screened in porch, or long naps in the comfy beds, White Birch offers a truly memorable vacation spot. We invite you to discover the quiet beauty of Northern Minnesota and be captivated by the call of the loons.
-Fish and boat on our quiet lake, or check out the famous Gull Chain just 5 minutes away.

Great Relaxing Retreat In The Birch Woods

Our family had a wonderful stay at Birch Wood Cottage! It is very private and secluded lot and a beautiful home to unwind and relax. The owners are great and were responsive! We will definitely consider this property in the future!

Family gathering

Family members from 5 states gathered for a reunion. White Birch Cottage has 2 large common areas, with 2 large screen porches, providing areas to spread out. The kitchen was large, with a nice dining area that fit all of us. We particularly enjoyed the dock and kayaks, although it was windy and cool. The owners were helpful to problem solve questions. We had a wonderful time!

Great house with private dock!

What a perfect house for a lake country get-away! I stayed here with my two small girls (ages 3 and 1), my mom, and my sisters. The house has great common areas- kitchen, living room, dining room and a massive screened in porch on the lower level. We loved the short walk through the trees to the private dock. We swam and used the kayak canoes multiple times, and watched the sunset over the lake. It was such a perk to have access to the lake whenever we wanted! We also fished off the dock and caught several sunfish and bluegill. The location of the house was great too- only a couple of minutes from downtown Nisswa (go on Wednesdays for turtle racing). Would definitely stay again!

Overall very good, could use more room when having boats. Would be nice to have area for cleaning fish, perhaps near the lake. Appreciate your responding to our call.

Great Lake House

The house lives up to the pictures, which is not always the case. We had a great stay here, caught fish off the dock & enjoyed the kayaks, relaxed in the porch. The house is probably 100 yards from the lake, down a short wooded path. We didn't run into any issues and loved the house.

Beautiful getaway

This is a wonderful place to stay. The pictures on VRBO does not do it justice. Thank you for a perfect place to getaway from work for a few days with a friend. I wish we could have stayed longer. Also, I caught large bluegill and a small mouth from the pier. We went kayaking and took in the fall colors. If you are looking at this rental, book it. You will not regret!

Beautiful cottage and property!

We were amazed by how beautiful the cottage and property were. The cottage is large and very comfortable, with a variety of spaces for lounging and a well-stocked (for a rental property) kitchen. It's very close to the water, with a nice dock. Communication with the owners and property manager was easy and friendly, and all practical details (wi-fi, trash, etc.) were also easy. We would definitely return!

Beautiful A+ private piece of heaven!

This is a beautiful home. Very new and very clean and very modern. Beautiful open spaces that we loved to congregate in. This is one of those places that every room you walk into you just say "wow". We loved loved loved loved the veranda. It was the go to space for games, visiting, eating, and reading. The kitchen was big and had all the essentials needed for meal prep. Bedrooms were perfect and comfortable and again very clean and new. The massive fireplace room/tv room was our night gathering space where we all spread out and could all comfortably be together to visit. The drive way is very long and tarred so when you drive up and get to the house you find yourself in this wonderful cozy paradise. You take a little walk through the woods (which we loved) to get to the wonderful family type lake. The dock is brand new and you access the lake with a ladder into about 3 ft of water. The kayaks were great and we used them constantly and multiple times we paddled over to the private sandy shore just to the left of the dock so the little kiddos had a beach to play on and make many sand castles. It was July 4th weekend so enjoyed the boat parade and everyone was just happy and waving. Such a welcoming place to be. Jon & Julie were wonderful hosts and took very good care of us and we very much enjoyed their beautiful home. Absolutely 100% recommend this home. Thank you so much for sharing your White Birch Cottage with us. We definitely would love to stay again. Joanne & Scott

Relaxing escape!

We enjoyed our stay in June 2021! Great accommodations for our family of 5 who enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and swimming. Local town nearby as well with restaurants and shopping. We would stay again!
