Are you looking for the quintessential Maine cottage with views of Penobscot Bay and steps away from the beach? Look no further, Overlook Cottage has two bedrooms and one full bath (newly updated 2023) with two full size beds and one queen bed and sleeps 4 adults or 2 adults with children comfortably. Enjoy views while grilling your catch of the day or dining inside the screened porch. Enjoy the Adirondack chairs on the deck or play an outdoor game on the massive green lawn out front. The cottage has a flat screen tv, Bose Sound-bar, internet for those working remote, screened in deck and full (newly renovated in 2023) kitchen. On those cool nights enjoy our newly installed vented contemporary fireplace while watching the waves outside. We are working to lower our environmental impact and have installed a reverse osmosis water system to avoid plastic water bottles and are using laundry sheets instead of wasteful plastic containers. Be sure to bring your own water bottle for your hikes and outdoor adventures. Enchanting downtown Belfast with its quaint shops and delicious restaurants is only 3 miles away. Guided water adventures, relaxation, golf, and local artists are all just minutes away!

We had a wonderful stay at Water View Cottage. We found the listing to be very accurate. The fireplace added a nice touch for enjoying with our morning coffee.The location of the Cottage was great for going north or south to other places.

The best part about this cottage was the great view of the bay from the screened in porch! It was a quiet and peaceful location, but also close enough to Belfast to easily access restaurants and groceries. It was a perfect home base for exploring the mid coast of Maine. Check in was simple and Pamela provided not only necessary, but many extra amenities.

This was the quintessential Maine cottage experience and I'm so sad we had to leave this morning! Cozy, clean, with all the modern amenities you need and thoughtful touches everywhere you look. Super soft towels and blankets, lovely soap/lotion, a plethora of books, functional TV (silly but this isn't always the case and we had two football games to watch!), beautiful coffee cups... We didn't get to sit on the porch much but the view was great and the beach was an easy walk. Loved this place so much!

Amazing Stay!

Spent a week with my family and we had the best time. The cottage was thoughtfully set up with everything we would need including firewood. My kids loved running through the lawn and walking down to the beach. We also enjoyed going into Belfast to explore the shops and food scene. And it was an easy day trip to Acadia! We want to come back next summer.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cottage.

This cottage exceeded our expectations in all ways. Beautifully kept, had everything you could possibly need for a stay away. Location was excellent and within 1/2 hour of many attractions. Looking forward to staying again next year.

Hello, I am Pamela, my husband David and our daughter Samantha just purchased Overlook Cottage in May of 2021. Owning a beach cottage in Maine has been a dream of ours and its hard to believe it has finally come true. We fell in love with Belfast and the day we turned into Wonderview Circle and saw the breathtaking views we knew we had found the cottage of our dreams. We have been in the hospitality business for 40 years and truly enjoy giving guests a special place to relax, make memories and feel rejuvenated when they leave. Its a blessing to be able to share Overlook Cottage and we know you will truly enjoy your time here.

We chose Overlook Cottage because of the cozy feel of the cottage and the incredible views. We love that you can walk across a beautiful lawn and have private access to the large rocky beach. We love watching the tide go in and out and watching the wildlife and boats throughout the day. Searching for sea glass and unique rocks is a favorite pastime. The community is very friendly and with the quaint town of Belfast only 10 minutes away Overlook Cottage was the perfect place for us.

The minute you walk up the steps to Overlook Cottage and look back at the ocean all your worries will be left behind. All the windows along the front have spectacular views of the ocean. The screened porch is perfect for dining, and the oversized deck is perfect for sitting in the sunshine and watching the boats go by. Sit at the dining table and work inside (if you must) or curl up on the couch with a good book. Most days have a beautiful breeze from the water and on clear nights the stars are mesmerizing. Overlook cottage is a special place where memories will be made.
