Here you will enjoy spectacular sunsets year round, whale watching during winter months, and spotting turtles swimming below while drinking your morning coffee...all from the comfort of your lanai! With such close proximity to the ocean, you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Situated on local favorite North Kaanapali Beach there is so much to enjoy here. Please note the sand levels can vary depending on the conditions.

Maui Kai 801 is a Hawaiian inspired, one bedroom, one bathroom condo that features a fully stocked kitchen and an updated bathroom! With a King-size master bed and a Queen sleeper sofa, Maui Kai 801 comfortably sleeps 4 guests. Easily expand your living space by opening the sliding glass doors. Let the fresh tropical ocean breezes cool you down, or turn on the central air conditioning system for a quick cool off after a day in the sun. After a busy day enjoying our island paradise, relax in front of the large flat-screen Cable TV. The unit also features complimentary WiFi.

Maui Kai resort is located in a quiet cul-de-sac away from street noise and cloistered among a collection of boutique resorts. The tree-lined drive is also a pleasant walking path up to convenient dining and grocery options, bars, and food trucks. If your ideal vacation does not include driving, this location is perfect for a low-key, home-based experience. Maui Kai is an oceanfront resort located at North Kaanapali Beach with a view of the majestic islands of Lanai and Molokai. There is a perfect sandy beach, great for snorkeling, swimming, and sunbathing directly in front of the resort. Right next door to Honokowai Beach Park, Maui Kai is also within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the famous Kaanapali boardwalk that connects to Black Rock Beach and Whalers Village. The resort features a heated pool and hot tub, gas BBQ area, and poolside cabana with kitchen and laundry facilities on site.

Absolutely stunning view

We would definitely stay here again. The location is wonderful and the view is stunning. Whales every where you looked and turtles to boot. Beautiful view of neighboring islands the sunsets were amazing. We are looking forward to returning again.

Excellent stay! Pictures extremely accurate as well!

This place......absolutely memorable. Best 2 weeks I've had yet on the islands and the view is probably the best you can find. We walked around all the other resorts along the beach and realized we had the building closest to the water. Place felt like a true home away from home. Nothing like hearing the Maui coastline every night and toasting to the sunsets. Also have an insane view of Lanais and Molokai islands.

Wonderful location. Casual feel, well appointed. Love the pool for kids, walking access to snorkeling, and shave ice at Big Wave, our favorite. We have stayed at many units in this building over the years, our only notes would be to allow more closet space (most is locked) and provide beach towels instead of large bath.

Wonderful Stay at Maui

Following are the key points that I would love to highlight about this property: - Excellent location, situated right in the heart of Lahaina with lots of restaurants/food trucks and groceries around - Close by to major attractions, including Kanapalli Beach - Amazing ocean view from the balcony, we were lucky enough to spot tons of Whales and could witness beautiful Sunset form Balcony - It will be really good if some upgrades are made, mainly with regards to appliances, otherwise the entire condo was maintained very clean. For sure will try to book the same during our next visit to Maui.. Mahalo..

Very peaceful and quiet. Friendly people here. Smaller building with the closest proximity to the ocean. Air conditioner was very noisy. No t.v. In the bedroom. Kitchen well appointed.

Beautiful ocean view

This is a wonderful ocean view unit right on the beach. Huge view from the 8th floor with 3 islands right in front whales dolphins sea turtles and great beaches on either side of the building. The condo is comfortable with A/C and fully stocked kitchen and everything you need for a great Hawaii vacation. Great location close to restaurants food trucks and market within 10 minutes walk. Managment company was very responsive and was ready to help with anything we needed. We never used the pool and hot tub they are across the parking disconnected from the beach and everything.

Arrived Friday evening with the AC broken. Contacted the property management company. They had maintenance out the next morning at 10am who confirmed the AC was broken. We were told they have portable AC units & will provide one if the owner will pay the additional charge for it. We would have been perfectly happy with that. Unfortunately, when we returned that evening there was no portable AC unit. There was no way we could sleep another night in the sweltering 87 degrees (or stay the additional 8 days). The condo is cement brick - we literally felt we were in an oven. We were there for our wedding & had another 24 guests staying next door in Aston Shores. It took a couple hours searching the web and calling other resorts to find another unit available for us to stay in nearby so we could still be close to our wedding party. It was very stressful. Luckily, we found a place. We moved out of that unit Saturday night and enjoyed a restful sleep in an airconditioned unit. I contacted them the following morning and told them we vacated the unit. They charged us for 2 nights (we only stayed one night) along with all the other fees VRBO, Cleaning, etc... Awful experience. I'm working with the credit card company to get by 980 returned for the one miserable night we stayed there. Do not stay here.

Great location!

We have started at the next door Mahana before so this was an easy transition for us. Awesome to be located so close to the food trucks! Great food, reasonable priced. It was also easy to catch the bus for only $1 and went to Whalers Village and Lahaina. The best part of our trip was seeing a mama whale and her baby performing right off of our lanai! Whatever mama did, the baby would copy it. So cute! We saw numerous turtles right in front of the condo also. The only downside to our trip was the weather was very windy and rainy but at least we had entertainment right outside we could watch in comfort. The Mahana and Maui Kai have the best view on the island, in my opinion.

My stay was magical. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I loved the view. I loved the location. I loved the bedroom and the comfortable bed. I loved the full kitchen. I loved the lanai and it's furnitures. I loved the beautiful dinning table that I can set with beautiful matching dinnerware. I loved the bathroom with it's beautiful modern shower. I loved the living room and the comfortable matching furniture. I loved the convenient trash shoot. I loved the convenience and speed of the elevators. I loved the convenience of the washer and dryer. I loved the secondary wind and sound doors separating us from the elevators and other guests.

Maui and My Perfect Stay Beautiful

Condo is beautiful and immaculate . Getting there was a bit complicated. Maui Kai office lady was pretty RUDE when we inquired about the condo. Would not help except to ORDER us to read our email. There was also intermittent hammering and sawing from the condo above (901), annoying! And when the electricity went out, we could not find a flashlight or candles. An emergency kit would have been helpful. And perhaps a call or email from you during our stay would have been a nice gesture. And inform future guests that there are used books available in the pool rec room.

Great views from lanai

Pros: This condo has a great location and there are amazing views since it is a corner unit. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need for meals (including a rice cooker). Comfortable furniture and big screen TV. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of nice towels provided. You can walk along the beach or behind the unit to the walkway that goes to Airport Beach. Bedroom nicely furnished with big dresser and two nightstands. Close to Times Market for groceries. Management was on the ball with instructions and information regarding the stay. Cons: Unit is in need of upgrading. Popcorn ceilings, old carpet in bedroom and living room, very small bathroom vanity with no storage. Both bedroom closets are locked. There is nowhere to hang clothes except a tiny utility closet in the hallway that's filled with a step stool, ironing board, cooler, boogie board and 5 hangers. You have to take everything out of the closet if you want room for your clothes. Pool is behind complex in parking lot so not a great environment.

Comfort with a Spectacular View

We loved our stay in Maui Kai. It was perfect for us. We would not hesitate to stay here again. The condo was so comfortable and convenient. The location could not have been better. We spent a lot of time on the lanai enjoying the ocean and it's amazing sea life. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen well stocked. The bathroom and shower were great. We took advantage of the grill many times and enjoyed playing darts while we grilled. We used the beach chairs, towels and the cooler provided by the condo. They were a really nice bonus. The water pitcher for the refrigerator was also a nice touch. The library of books was great. We enjoyed the books on reef fish and humpbacks. Communication with the management company was easy and prompt. The provided direction for access to the condo was easy to follow and the key card system for the door was convenient. The welcome package was also a nice touch. You just can't go wrong with this condo.

Stunning view!

This was our first time in Maui and for us, location is everything. Maui Kai condos has a fabulous location and the ocean view is one of the best we have ever experienced. This is a corner unit and it is exactly as shown in the photos. The water comes right up to a rock wall directly below the balcony. There is ample beach space to the left and right of the building and all beaches are open to the public. The whale watching from the 8th floor was out of this world. We saw more whales from our balcony than we did on a whale watching tour! The condo was well appointed, clean and comfortable. There a few minor things that need attention. The blinds, one piece of tile near the desk and some minor touch up paint. We highly suggest having lunch or dinner at Mama’s Fish House! It’s quite a drive, but the view is amazing and our meal was one of the best meals we have ever had. It is very pricey, but soooo good! Times Grocery Store is right across the street and a great food truck park is within a 5 minute walk from the condo. Perfect for nights you do y want to cook or go out. Overall, this was one of the best condos we have stayed in! Highly recommended! Aloha!

Wonderful Condo

This little condo is an end unit on the 8th floor. With the end unit you get the balcony looking straight out to sea, plus the side window looking down the coast. Then, to top it off, you get mountain views from the bedroom and bathroom. The unit is clean and modern. The bathroom is a bit small but we weren't focused on the bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, including a nice blender to make margaritas! The host provided nice beach towels and beach chairs, too. The unit has cable tv, although we didn't watch anything, and good broadband access. The only downside to the Maui Kai is that with the rise in sea level over the last few years, beach access in front of and to the immediate right and left of the Maui Kai is limited. We ended up driving to various beaches every day, rather than walk down the sand past the Mahana. This was no big deal and the fabulous view and comfortable unit made it all worth while. We used the pool, hot tub, and club house as well. Overall, great stay at a nice property. Would recommend.
