Ideal for two families, this spacious retreat offers both ocean and marsh views, located on the eastern end of Folly, just across the street from the beach. Enjoy the cool ocean breeze from the generous front porch or relax in the elegant backyard shaded by Live Oak trees.

Features:
Living Area: The home features two spacious living areas on the first floor, including a living room with heart pine floors, beach views, and a 50ā€ Roku TV. French doors lead to the large front porch and deck.

Kitchen: Recently remodeled, the spacious kitchen includes a refrigerator, countertop beverage fridge, toaster oven, microwave, dishwasher, and both Keurig and regular coffee makers. A washer and dryer are also available for your convenience.

The marsh view and beach view were lovely. You could move from front porch to back porch all day and enjoy the views! The house was very clean, rooms were comfortable size, things were a little worn, the bathroom situation was a little tight and the beds were a little lumpy, but overall it was an ideal stay for our family.

WiFi did not work. Grill was filthy, out of gas. What was a wine fridge did not work and was full of mold. Kitchen was well equipped. Beach access was good. Overall the house needs some tender loving care. We did have a good time. The beach is beautiful. The house is large enough for a family event.

Super easy check in and check out. House was large enough to not feel like we were all on top of each other. Nice sized kitchen to make group meals. Location is great unless you want to be able to conveniently walk to dinner. Highly recommend and would book again if we choose to vacation at Folly again.

Family Beach Week

This house has been our favorite one since we have been coming to Folly every summer for the past 10 years. It fit our family perfectly, with plenty of room to spread out and not be on top of each other. The front deck was the official hangout spot. We will be booking again for next year!

Great location 2 min walk from beach access, 5-10 min drive to restaurants/stores, 30 min drive into Charleston, well equipped house. Beds weren't the most comfortable, a couple of broken frames as root issue. But for a 4 day stay, not a huge deal.

Great house for a large group

We had 2 families staying here (9 people total) for spring break. The house is very comfortable for a bigger group. Plenty of space, bedrooms and sitting areas. Kitchen is well stocked. Front porch was nice to sit on (screened porch on the back is small and has a small table - would be nice if they extended the screens on the full back porch). Very easy walk to the beach across the street. A nice and quiet location. Our only recommendation would be for the owner to invest in new pillows for the beds, many were very flat. And maybe some mattress toppers as some of the beds were a tad hard. Itā€™s def a very nice house with a easy walk to the beach.

Fun folly week

Great location, comfortable house that was easy for all . Would definitely return. Porch floors and porch furniture could be cleaner and couple kitchen door were loose. Porches were perfect for gathering.. Wel Great views. Kitchen well stocked.Linens on king beds were not well fitted . Great spot for family fun.

Wonderful House

The house fit all of our needs. Many comfortable places to get alone and read a book or hang out with everyone and play games. Location to the beach was easily a short walk, but definitely rent a golf cart, it makes moving around the island much easier.

Wonderful location and stay

Everything was wonderful from check in to the house itself. We were on a respite retreat as all of our parents have a terminal illness and this was just what we needed. Property managers checked in to ensure all was well too.

Lots of space

We loved the spacious floor plan of this house. The kitchen was huge and well-stocked. Lots of seating inside and out which was a plus! It was nice having beach and marsh views. The house needs a good deep cleaning and an overhaul of the beds. Better quality mattresses and bedding would make stays more comfortable.

Bigger Then Expected!

A house full of friends stayed very comfortable in this home for my husbands 40th birthday! We enjoyed both views from the front and the back! Only downside was the low water pressure.

Great house in need of TLC

This house is run down and was filthy when we arrived. The beds seemed to be freshly made and there were clean towels. However, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes, there were spills on the floor, clumps of dust hanging on the walls, spills running down the kitchen cabinets, hair in the bathroom sinks and tubs, and the refrigerator was dirty inside an out. Cabinets doors were broken and the air conditioning intake unit rattled, keeping people awake at night. In the morning I called the property management company and asked them to send a housekeeper and a maintenance person. They did so immediately. The maintenance man fixed the items on my list. He was very professional, proficient and quick. The housekeeper washed all the floors, wiped down the kitchen and bathrooms. She did the best she could in the 45 minutes she was there. However, this house needs to be cleaned from top to bottom. In fact, the entire interior really needs to be painted. All the woodwork is dirty and there are marks and chips in the walls. All that said, this house is a great place for a large family gathering. The configuration of rooms lends to entertaining and gathering but also provides enough space that everyone can find a quiet place. There are lots of bedrooms, two family rooms and two decks. Itā€™s about 2 miles to the lighthouse in one direction and 2 miles to Center Street in the other direction. There are ocean views from the front deck and march views from the back deck. The front deck is really big and has the perfect combination of sun and shade. The beach is steps away, just across the street. For planning you should know that there is no gas grill, no blow dryers, no dish towels. I bought a couple of pot holders and left them there. There are only two beach chairs and no beach umbrella but you get free beach gear with the rental so you may want to rent what you need..

A beautiful home that needs some fixes

The house was lovely, lovely location. Some inside repair need to be addressed. Light bulbs out, only 7 forks in the kitchen, cupboards broken. The back porch needs cleaning. We didnā€™t feel we could sit on those chairs.

Perfect place for our family get away.

Major Electrical issues on the first day but the team at dunes properties were quick to respond and kept me updated on when it would be fixed. Excellent customer service. Folly Beach is beautiful and fun for the family. This property was perfect for our extended family of 14 to stay at.

family time

Our family has grown larger over the last year or two and we needed a vacation home that would accommodate our needs for space to be together and space to be apart. This home was perfect for us for exactly that reason, and we especially enjoyed cooking together in the spacious kitchen and playing games on the dining room table overlooking the marsh. After walking on the beach, which was just across the street, we sat out in the porch swing talking, and we read magazines and napped in the chairs out there. Walking into town gave us the exercise we needed, and I loved watching the sunrise from my bed each morning near the back porch. It is probably odd to go on and on about a shower, but the master bathroom was off the charts incredible. I have never had such a luxurious bathing experience before, but I surely will again when we return there next year. My family and I had a wonderful time together and this house was the backdrop where our connections were renewed.

Just what we needed

The house was as expected. Clean, comfortable beds, cold A/C, and fast internet. We were there just a few days after hurricane Irma came through so the beach across the street from the house was in rough shape. But we rented a 6 person golf cart for the day and went exploring Folly Island and had great time. Would definitely stay here again.

Great family retreat!

Great location for celebrating our mother's 90th birthday! Wonderful front deck facing ocean was great for gatherings, games, and meals. Very large kitchen with adjoining den which was good for visiting and for group meal preparations. Only gave it three stars because the house was under renovations that were not quite finished which was inconvenient but it was still great. Once those are complete, it will be wonderful. There were only 3 baths one of which was in the master. So, if your group is very compatible, that will not be a problem. Beach access was directly across the street which was very convenient since we had small children with us. Loved watching all the surfers as well! The best way to describe our stay is...we will definitely rent this home again!

Can't wait to go back!

I loved my girls getaway week in this house. The house was very spacious for 10 girls. The backyard was so peaceful and quiet, and it's located just a few steps away from the beach. The pool table was great for our night in. Ubers and Lyfts are just $20ish to and from Downtown Charleston. There's also a fun night scene on Folly. My girls and I will definitely stay at Estate of Folly again. It accommodated all of us to a tee!
