Great spot! Beautiful views from every floor. The wild horses visited almost daily. The host was very responsive. Hope to stay again next year!

Our stay was amazing!! The house was fully equipped with everything that you can think of. Two different kinds of grills. The kitchen had everything for all sorts of things you may need. The bed was comfortable. The dock was great for paddle boarding. The top level of the house was the best! We saw tons of horses all around the property almost every day during our one week trip. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything! He even let us take our dog to his other home to play fetch in the canal since it had a small walk out onto the water. I can go on and on about how wonderful our trip was! I would highly recommend this house to a couple and/or family.

Kevin our host was so helpful and attentive. Anytime we needed something he was super responsive. My family and I loved the property.Most mornings we woke up to wild horses.The area was quiet and private. The home was very well stocked with boogie boards, kayaks, beach chairs etc. We were right on the canal and only five minutes from the beach. Looking forward to coming back next year!

Great week!

We had a wondeful time. Kevin is super responsive. Saw horses almost every day. Enjoyed the kayaks and paddleboard provided. House had plenty of room. Quiet area. Canal front was a new experience for us and it did not disappoint. Easy car ride to beach. We would definitely book this house again.

Peace and quiet. House is beautiful. Everything you need to have fun and enjoy all there is to offer. Kevin was on the ball with any help we needed. And also got to see the horses almost everyday. Will be staying here again!

Tranquil Family Beach Vacation

Let me start by saying that Kevin is so great! He was super responsive with any questions we had. The house is lovely. Very spacious and extremely well appointed. From beach chairs to beach towels, everything you need or want is provided with this house. Then there is the beachā€¦.. absolutely beautiful. A piece of paradise that time has not touched. Itā€™s a short drive from the house or a quick 10 min walk. Our vacation was flawless and wonderful. We loved this house and everything about our vacation. We will be back next year!

Secluded and Homey

We stayed over the holidays and had a nice peaceful stay. Horses everyday and no horse tours. Clean and cozy. Kevin was very responsive and kind.

Week of July 4

This house was a great stay! I would recommend bringing a baby play gate if you stay on the top floor of the house if you have a little one, our son was 9 months and wanted to go crawl everywhere! House was clean. I do wish the deck was identical to the pictures for ease of getting from the top floor down outside, but it didnā€™t take away from our overall trip. Host provides beach chairs, towels, crab traps, kayaks, and even fishing items! On the fourth we were able to see around 4-6 peopleā€™s fireworks from the top deck, it was super cool! The wild horses also appeared on property while we were crabbing which was a super neat experience!

A great lifestyle experience

Loved our stay here, the host was just the best, he responded in such a timely mannor to anything that we asked or needed, and the house and area were just beautiful. An entire neighborhood covered in sand was so different but well worth the experience. We loved it.

Great location and property

The house was awesome, clean, and nicely secluded from the beach area while also being close enough to walk. We took the kayaks out and used the cornhole boards on the beach which was a plus. You really canā€™t beat this house for the price and Kevin was very responsive/accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Property

We live fairly close to OBX and visit frequently. We really wanted a place that was away from the crowded area of OBX and didn't require a week minimum rental. Loved the layout, access to the sound, and proximity to the beach. Enjoyed the kayaks, fishing, and seeing the horses. Great communication with owner. We will definitely be back!

Great experience

Kevin the property owner was great. Very knowledgeable of the area. Would text back right away. Def need 4x4 to get there and be mindful not to go to the town during high tide. We saw many horse's from the property and a baby deer. Easy access to the beach.

Amazing house and host!

The house was perfect for our family! Very well stocked kitchen! Enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board that were provided to use in the canal right out back! Wild horses literally under the house while we were there, beautiful! Kevin was amazing! We called because propane was low and he was there in less than 20 minutes. The next day he drove by on a boat and we were on the deck and stopped to check if we were ok. Couldnā€™t ask for a better host! Thanks Kevin!

Great house for nice beach vacation

This house is excellent. It has a cool layout with the primary bed and bathroom on the top floor along with the kitchen, eating area and family room. Then the mid floor has three rooms and the basement has one room, a bathroom, and another family room. Both the mid and top levels have wrap around balconies so enjoy the great views. Itā€™s a short walk to the beach or just drive there. You have to drive about 10miles on the beach to get to the house so bring food and supplies as that 10mile drive takes about 40min. The WiFi is great so I could get a little work done while here. The canoes/kayaks are fun and, generally this is a great place to stay and I would totally come back here.

Great family vacation!

We had a wonderful family vacation! My husband and I, our three teenage children, and golden retriever really enjoyed this secluded beach home. Kevin greeted us upon arrival which was very thoughtful. There was plenty of room for all of us! We really enjoyed the outdoor seating, hammock, corn hole boards, kayaks, large dining table, screened in porch, and close drive to the 4x4 beach. This was a first for us! We loved packing the cars up with the dog, chairs, lunch, and fishing equipment to enjoy a long beach day. It was fun to see the wild horses along the shore. The house had plenty of beach chairs and an umbrella which was very convenient. We were amazed that this beach home had so many helpful items all ready for us; trash bags, blender, laundry detergent, etcā€¦ Kevin also kindly located extra kayaks for all of us to go out as a family! The beds were comfortable and we were pleased with how clean the home was upon arrival. The sheets and towels were very nice. We really felt at home here. It took us about a half and hour to drive the 8 mile beach to get back to the town of Corolla to explore. We also enjoyed dining out in Duck which took about an hour. We got the hang of taking air in and out of our tires. We definitely would come back again! Lots of wonderful family memories.

property manager helpful but rental needs work

Rental property was dirty upon arrival. Kitchen was dirty, dirty linens and dirty couch. Renter previous to us left the pans not very clean in the cupboard. Spent the first day cleaning and stripping linens to wash. Had to cover the couch with sheets to sit on it. Roaches and spiders in house were bad. No dresser in master half the master closet had cleaning supplies, leaving little room for clothes. Their visiter guide in this house should explain how to use the television No television service, had to use my personal netflix account, owner did give password to his prime account after trying to fix the tv issue. This property had some good things, kayaks were fun, I would recommend you bring your own life vest as we did, life vests provided were outside in a box, would have needed to be washed down pretty good to make sure there were no spiders. Corn hole was great. Air conditioning kept us cool. plenty of linens. Plenty of room. Games and puzzles provided. This is a start up rental with us being only the 2nd renter, so they are working the bugs out. The property manager was wonderful. Anytime there was an issue he tried his hardest to make it right. Im just not used to having to talk to the property manager at all and especially not on a daily basis while on vacation.
