Looking for the perfect vacation with endless opportunities for adventure and relaxation? You’ve found it. Our guest reviews say it best. Perfect for 3 adults or and can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. Kitchen and bath are being remodeled but will be ready for this summer season 2026

This charming 2 room lakeside cabin sits just steps from the water’s edge and offers excellent lake fishing and swimming. The lake is warm, clean, and crystal clear—ideal for a refreshing afternoon dip. Inside, the cabin features a queen-size leather sofa sleeper with a premium memory foam/latex mattress, plus a corner sectional that can comfortably accommodate 2 children. After a day of exploring, unwind in the whirlpool bathtub, perfect for soaking tired muscles.

We provide top-quality bedding, linens, and towels, along with an impressive selection of outdoor gear: a canoe, a two-person kayak, four paddleboards, two bicycles, spin and fly fishing rods, backpacks, and ice chests—everything you need for a day on the water or trails.

Nearby activities include hiking, biking, fishing, golfing, ziplining, helicopter tours, horseback riding, rafting, boat tours and rentals, and ATV rentals, all just minutes away.

The cabin is ideally located only 3 miles from the West Entrance of Glacier National Park, 15 miles from Glacier Park International Airport (FCA)—with personal shuttle service available—and 2 miles from both the North and Middle Fork rivers.

Please note, that the main house will not be available this summer, however the cabin will still remain available.

Fun lake house near west entrance to Glacier

House was perfect. Besides being.close to Glacier National Park, we enjoyed the canoe, kayak, and paddle boards at the house. Hosts were gracious and welcoming.

Lovely lakeside stay near Glacier

We had a wonderful time at this lovely property. The proximity to Glacier National Park was important, but it also was a site anyone would enjoy spending time at. Jette and Bill were gracious and helpful hosts who shared lots of tips and local info.

Glacier family trip

We had a great time on our trip and this property was the perfect place for us to stay. it really added to our experience of being in Montana and Glacier National Park. it provided us with lots of space and a secluded place to stay. The lake was warm and was a great place for us to start our days and be able to unwind in the evening.

West Glacier Lake House

Incredible property with a great location to Glacier National Park. The owners were great and the house was incredibly well kept. In addition to the house, the owners also provided a canoe, kayak, paddle boards, hiking sticks, fishing rods, bear spray, backpacks and pretty much anything else needed for a vacation in the mountains. Highly recommended.

House on Lake 5

The property owners manage the home, and do a great job with communication. We loved the deck on the water and even had a moose swim by! The house is only a few minutes from the West Entrance of GNP.

Beautiful lake front cabin

This cabin is well maintained and fully stocked with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Jette and Bill were fabulous Hosts! The views from The dock are spectacular. Home is located just minutes from Apgar Visitor center. As with older homes, a few oddities (like unexpected steps , low ceiling entering some kitchen eating area and low shower heads) but the place is well maintained and charming. Would absolutely go again!

A week on Lake Five

We had a great time staying at the home on Lake Five. We fished and caught our fair share of trout and walleye. Kayaking and canoeing were fun for all of us. Best of all Glacier NP was a short 8 minute drive. Even though the weather was wet and wild for the first day and evening, there is still much to do and see in the park. A great time had by all !!!

Private home on beautiful lake

Historic home on Lake Five well maintained by owners. Functional kitchen with nice cookware and spices, large living room and master suite. Well stocked with outdoor gear and guides. Beautiful yard, deck and dock. Canoe, kayak and fishing poles were much appreciated. Hosts were wonderful. Will return.

Great location near Glacier National Park

On a beautiful little lake. House was very clean and owners were very easy to reach and helpful. Kitchen was very well equiped with everything needed. Had just about every kitchen pot and pan and kitchen tool we would ever need. A kayak anc canoe were there for us to use. Comfortable beds. This house was perfect for our week stay with 3 couples. Very happy with this rental!

Wonderful Lakeview House Next to Glacier National Park

This is an amazing house fully equipped with canoe, kayak, paddle board, life jackets, fishing rods, backpacks, picnic chairs, Bear spay - anything you need for hiking, enjoying the lake and fishing. Our teenage boys loved the lake. Glacier National Park West Entrance is 5 min. Kitchen is well stocked. Truly a home away from home! Jette and Bill are most wonderful and helpful hosts.

Perfect home away from home

I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect house for our family vacation. Communication with Jette was amazing. Everything you need is there for you to use! Backpacks, water bottles, fishing gear, canoe, SUPB, kayak, maps, maps, and maps!! Not having AC was not an issue at all since Jette showed us which windows to open at night and close in the morning so the house stays nice and cool. Everything you could possibly need in a kitchen is there. Being on the lake was amazing And only a 5 min drive to the West Entrance to GNP. I’ll be back!!

Perfect vacation!!

We were greeted by our hosts upon our arrival and immediately felt welcomed. We were provided a tour of the property and house with encouragement to contact the hosts if we needed anything at all. Our family of 5 settled in quickly and found the home charming and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable, ample supply of towels were available, and a everything you would need in the well outfitted kitchen. Besides the kitchen, there was a grill and griddle provided that was also put to good use. Being only minutes from the West entrance of Glacier National Park was very convenient. The hosts had coolers, umbrellas, walking sticks and bear spray available if needed. When not at the park, we were able to enjoy canoeing on the beautiful lake. We all agreed we would love to return to this beautiful spot.

Lake Five Retreat

Beautiful house on the lake! The deck and dock are amazing. We loved the kayaking, paddle boarding and canoe for fishing. Minutes from West Glacier Entrance. The house had everything you could need, except air conditioning! We knew that going in and weren’t worried, but we stayed during a very warm week. Sleeping in the house at night was very uncomfortable! Bill and Jette were very nice and obviously take great pride in there home. They greeted us on arrival and even texted to ask if we were lost when we didn’t arrive by 4:00. It was a little strange when they came to water during our stay; however, they did ask us what time was most convenient. We were unclear as to whether they would be going inside the house while our belongings were there?? Overall, a good stay and would recommend.

Family adventure base location

We had a wonderful stay at this location. So close to the park with a wonderful lake to enjoy boating on. It was peaceful, beautiful and provided us with absolutely everything we needed!!
