The Crane's Nest is a beautiful 3 bedroom, one bath cottage near Lake Michigan and located in the Lake Michigan Beach area. Newly remodeled. We want our guests to feel a range of emotions when entering The Crane's Nest. Cozy, comfortable, relaxing, nautical and romantic. This cottage is fully stocked with supplies for campfires, grilling, cooking and games for the whole family. We are one mile south of Roadside Park (public beach) and one mile north of Hagar Park (public beach). We are perfectly located between St. Joseph (9 miles south) and South haven (12 miles north). With so much to see and do in both directions.
The Crane's Nest is a Family friendly cottage. We are not large enough inside or outside for parties. We rank very high on decor, cleanliness and activities.

Quick family get away

Really enjoyed our stay! Utilized the grill and the fire pit (our son loved the s'mores). Low vehicle traffic outside, was very relaxing. Within easy driving distance to South Haven and St. Joseph. Would absolutely stay again.

Wonderful accommodation, very close to public beach accesses.

Lovely cottage, personal touches and available household items were greatly appreciated. Constant four wheeling in front and around the house was a bit much at times, other than that we enjoyed our stay and will recommend to friends and family.

We enjoyed our stay in Crane's Nest

Very nice, clean, and welcoming. There were 4 adults & 5 year old. We enjoyed the trip immensely. It was a short drive to state park beaches and St. Joseph. Would highly recommend this comfortable little house for your visit.

Amazing place!

Iā€™ve stayed in a lot of vacation rentals, and this might be the best Iā€™ve ever experienced. Thoughtfully designed and arranged, impeccably clean, and stocked with both practical and generous supplies to make a stay easy and enjoyable. Our only regret is not having longer to stay at the house. Thanks for a great stay!

Weekend fun before back-to-school

We took our daughter, son-in-law and 12 year-old grandson for a fun weekend before he starts 7th grade. The house was perfect. We played games that they had, enjoyed how close we were to Lake Michigan and had a truly wonderful time. Would highly recommend this property. It was perfect!

Excellent stay

We cannot say enough great things about this property! Extremely quiet location yet close to many beaches. We enjoyed the Roadside Beach for the sunset. Dawn is a terrific hosts and is quick to respond.. we generally stay at hotels in the area, but never again. This home is absolutely perfect and will be a first choice for us on future visits!

Enjoyed our stay!

My 3 sisters and I decided to have a girls weekend and I am so happy I found us this awesome little house to rent, from the moment I confirmed our reservation to the day we checked out Dawn the home owner was amazing! Quick responses to every question which most of them were in the pictures or description on the VRBO site I was just so worried I would forget something but she assured me the house had it all and we just needed to show up and enjoy and thatā€™s exactly what we did! We will definitely be visiting here again!! Very clean home and quiet little neighborhood šŸ™‚Thanks Dawn for a great stay in your beautiful home!

Great location. Great host. She put amazing work into the house. It looks wonderful!! My only complaint is the smell of the house. And no I have not mentioned it to, Dawn. But I do think it's helpful to inform other potential guests in the future. Looks to be water damage.. it is very evident on the hardwood floors. Another thing to note... You are connected to another VRBO stay. (If guests are scheduled of course) But it's all one house and the host must of put a wall up to separate the two places. I guess I'd describe it as a connected condo. I honestly would stay again if it wasn't for the smell of this house. But it was too bothersome for me. I would take an old finished home with no toxic smell over a newly remodeled with a bad smell of water damage or whatever else you have going on.

Beautiful house in great location

House is beautiful with more amenities than we could use! Couldā€™ve used another night to fully enjoy. Centrally located to South Haven, St.Joseph, beaches, restaurants and more. Really enjoyed our time here! Host was excellent and timely with communication as well!

Lovely cottage near gorgeous beach

We had a wonderful time. The cottage is adorable, very clean, and the perfect size for a smallish group. It's also well stocked with essentials and some special treats. We will definitely consider returning! The nearby beach is lovely. About a 3-minute drive at most.
