Beautiful Mountain Retreat

We loved staying in this well-appointed condo. Amazing view, excellent fireplace, comfortable bedding, spacious bathroom, great wifi, and easy communication. Definitely a stay again!

Amazing views!

This property was exceptional; everything exactly as described. The location was amazing offering breathtaking views and close to all the trails and towns we wanted to visit. Glen and Valerie were great hosts and answered all our questions. We'd definitely stay there again!

Look no further … if you seek OUTSTANDING mountain views while staying in an ELEGANT, COMFORTABLE and PRISTINE home … this is it! Our host was very responsive and we enjoyed the many fine details this beautiful condominium affords. Wonderful accommodations and a Great views

The property looked like the photos. Very quiet and comfortable. We really enjoyed the sitting areas and views. The furniture was a very nice touch. Very clean and well appointed. Internet worked great. The TV gear took a minute to sort out and might benefit from an update.

A memorable weekend in an unforgettable place!

Though the online photos of this property are great, they cannot do it justice. Simply everything about Glen and Valerie’s home is beautiful - furnishings, design, and the views … drop-dead gorgeous! We especially appreciated the easy check-in and all communications with our hosts. We will cherish our memories of our Mountain Air weekend for years to come. Thanks so much!

What a view!

Our stay was simply wonderful. The property is lovely and exactly as depicted in the photos. However, expectations were exceeded on several fronts..the setting, the view and the overall ambiance. The owners communicated in a very timely manner and their instructions for the property were so helpful and much appreciated. This is a gem! I hope to return…

Burnsville Trip

The view was gorgeous. . The condo and furnishings were classy. We enjoyed the porch, the fireplace, the baby grand,. Loved the decor/ambience. We explored the shops in Burnsville. And we learned History of Privateer Burns for whom the town is named from a local. There is a statue of Burns in the Town Square. We bought art at local shop. We would definitely stay there again. Hosts were gracious.

Wonderful experience at a perfect home with great views.

We were so fortunate to find this amazing home and definitely hope to return in the future. This home has everything: great deck with views, perfect glassed in sun room, beautiful garden terrace and an extra balcony off the master bedroom. Every detail was taken care of. All of the furnishings are very high end and couldn't have been nicer. It's not often you find a rental with such high quality furniture and decor. The owners were a pleasure to communicate with and we very highly recommend this exceptional rental opportunity.

What an absolutely beautiful property in Mountain Air! From the moment we walked in, we knew we had chosen a special place for our getaway. The views are incredible. Everything is tastefully decorated, the furniture and beds are extremely comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed and has high end appliances. There are several cozy nooks which we really enjoyed. There were lots of trails close by for hiking. The small town of Burnsville is a short drive and Asheville is about 40 miles away. Thank you, Glen, for your wonderful hospitality! Can't wait to return.

Mountain Air, Burnsville NC

We have so many wonderful things to say about this property. It is such a beautiful home with exquisite finishes, while feeling very homey. It had everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible with an absolutely stunning view of the mountains. The owner provided very detailed instructions on how to operate everything in the unit as well as what to do before we checked out. In addition, we did have a question during our stay and the owners were very responsive and helpful. We have stayed at countless VRBO properties and this was one of the very best, we would definitely stay at this property again.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful home and setting

We booked this trip at the last moment as our plans had changed somewhat. From the very beginning, it was a smooth process with the owners not only booking but addressing any questions or help we needed as we did not know the area well. When we arrived, we could not believe how beautiful the views and setting were. The pictures do not do it all the justice it deserves! It is a warm, inviting space with no detail left out to enjoy one's time there. It is decorated beautifully, meticulously cared after and has all the creature comforts one would ever need. The town of Burnsville is just a short drive away with eateries, grocery stores and a cute main street. We enjoyed venturing and there are plenty of activities a short drive away, not to mention wonderful hiking a stone's throw away. We look forward to returning and enjoying the "Mountain Air" we have now come to love after visiting!

Hmmm Pros and Cons to consider

Owners left quite a bit of their food in the refrigerator/freezer and cabinets as well as their clothes and shoes in the closet and their personal computer at the end of the bed. In the bathroom they left toothbrush and contact lens case. So, it made the unit feel uncomfortable and uninviting like we were in someone else’s personal place. It would be helpful to know that there were stairs to get to the unit and a good distance from the car to schlep all our luggage and groceries to and from. Otherwise the property and view were beautiful

Breath of Fresh Mountain Air

We had a wonderful last minute stay here. The home was beautiful and the views are amazing. Thankfully it had snowed before we got there so it was great to see snow on the mountains. Check-in and communication with the owner Glen was great. Overnight road conditions on the mountain were pretty bad and Glen sent me all the emails from the Mountain Air community so I could plan accordingly. They frequent their beautiful vacation home quiet a bit so everything we needed was already there. Even some blue eggs Glen said I could try and they were great. My wife enjoyed playing the baby grand piano. The pictures showed a harp but it must have been removed. The fireplace on the glass porch wasn't available to use but it was way to cold to sit out there anyway. One morning it was only 5 degrees. We definitely look forward to returning and enjoying the views and relaxing. Thanks for a wonderful stay Glen.

Stunning views!!

We thought we were impressed with the photos...but, this condo presents even that much better in person! Beautiful, clean condo with absolutely stunning views of the mountains and surrounding nature. What a peaceful perfect trip. And, we loved watching all the hummingbirds!

Incredible views

This was an amazing property. Clean, quiet and the perfect location. Our favorite spots were the porches. No better place to enjoy coffee in the mornings or dinner in the evenings. We would definitely stay here again.
