On Lake Hatcher! Kayak and fish from your back yard

There are not many homes for rent on Lake Hatcher. The fishing is great and the views are amazing. It's a quiet neighborhood that's also very close to miles of great hiking either at Coyote Hill or Turkey Springs. If outdoor fun is your passion, this is the perfect home. This home has been a rental for a number of years, but is new to VIP Vacation Services.

This is one of the original lakefront cabins on Lake Hatcher. It's a 2 story, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. There are views from all sides of the living, dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is fully stocked with newer appliances and plenty of room to cook. The lakeside patio is just a few steps from the kitchen where you have a gas grill, gas firepit and picnic table to enjoy your meals or just enjoy the views. There is also a cozy den with a fire stove, comfy couches and TV. There is always a good amount of wood to start your vacation.

On the main floor, you'll also find the queen bedroom with exterior door that shares a full bathroom in the hall. Upstairs are 2 more bedrooms and a full bath. There is a king bedroom that overlooks the lake and has a workspace desk for those who work while travelling. There is also a bedroom with a full and 2 twins, perfect for the kids. Both bedrooms share a recently remodeled full bathroom.

Fishing on this lake requires a permit for all guests. Please let us know in and we'll make arrangements for your permits to be in your home when you arrive so you won't lose a day on the lake. In the winter, let us know if you're interested in ice fishing. We can set you up with all the gear. Fines will be imposed for fishing without a permit.

The area around this home is flat and perfect for bike riding or morning walks.

All trailers, RV's, campers or other recreation vehicles must be approved prior to arrival to be allowed on premises.

This is a pet friendly home. Dogs only, 2 max. The pet fee is $75 per pet, as well as an additional $100 refundable security deposit per pet.

This home does not have AC

There is no swimming allowed in the lakes

Please note there is a $50 cancellation fee that applies to all cancellations made after booking.

Overall, our experience was good. Our property contact during our stay was wonderful. Natalee was available with a couple of issues and she responded right away. There were a few items that could have made our stay a little more comfortable like a working overhead fan in one of the bedrooms, especially because that room had no screen on the window. It got a little warm. I would also suggest a slightly larger coffee pot. This place has a very small coffee maker so we had to make multiple pots in the mornings

Graduation trip

We very much enjoyed our stay. My boys were thrilled with the fishing and the little row boat. They caught nice size fish but had a blast catch and release. Our liason was most helpful. It's use them again.

Spring ski trip

We had a wonderful stay. The house is very clean and the views are stunning over the lake, but in need of some updates. Outside, kitchen and downstairs bath. It is a little further from town than expected, that said the view was worth it and I would definitely stay again.

Great house in a great location!

We enjoyed our time at Hatcher Lake! The house was in a great location with the needed basics to make traveling with a younger family easier! The house does need some maintenance work and the beds could use updating. The management team was great though! They were very quick to respond with any needs!

Not pet friendly.

After you pay you get their real attitude after they say they are pet friendly. We stayed at a place in the same area before and wanted a place on the lake like this. However, after you pay the tell you how they REALLY feel bout pets. :( Not pet friendly at all. We cancelled because of this.

Peaceful vacation...

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Being by the water and having access to go out on it were great! The kitchen was missing a few items, sponge, better fry pans and cinnamon spice but other than that, it was a very nice place! We loved it!

Relaxing weekend

Family of 6 stayed with 2 little dogs. Size was perfect. The guys enjoyed the boat and fishing. Plenty of pots, pans, dishes, and utensils for all of us. Water had good pressure and got hot, just like many of us girls liked it. We loved the sunsets on the patio. Nice walks around quiet neighborhood.

Weeds were not cut. Everything outside was filthy. Even the life vests hanging inside were filthy Very uninviting.

Lake Hatcher

Stay was great, but they need to update their listing for towels. We were told to ask for more if needed. So I did and they got back with me and said they would bring some. They never brought more, and there is a sign that says enjoy our beach towels for the hot springs. But, there wasn’t any. I contacted them and they say that they don’t provide them anymore because the sulfur smell never comes out of them! Very minor things. The house was very clean and accommodating in every other way. Very comfortable.

Cozy and Convenient cabin

Very nice home in wonderful Pagosa Springs, close to Wolf Creek ski area. The house is comfortable and clean, in a quiet neighborhood. Loved the location and cozy nature of the house.

Christmas 2023

Our family & my brother’s family decided to take a trip and make memories instead of buying presents this year. We spent Christmas Day cooking, playing games, and relaxing. Our kiddos ranged from age 9 to 17 and all had a blast. We loved that we were not in town, yet also we were close enough we could be there within a few minutes. Beautiful location

The location is great with beautiful views. But a future house being built will cut down the view. My biggest problem with the house would be that it really has a bad urine smell, probably from the old and pet stain’s carpet. (Really needs replacing). But after airing out the house we never smelled it again. The house it self was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The outside deck is in desperate need of repair and cleaning. If a few updates and repairs were made, this really could be a 4.5 stars. But as it is now I would give it a 3.5 star.

Peaceful Spot with Fun Access to the Lake

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is the best part of this rental - along with the fact there is a kayak and rowboat you can use (with all the life preservers) right on the property. The kitchen has pretty much everything needed to make meals the entire time you are here.And it's nice you can bring your pup. The place has a cottage feel to it.Rental company provides outstanding service. Concierge helped us to get fishing permits - they were in the home upon arrival.The home is a bit of a drive from downtown Pagosa, but grocery store, restaurants, and golf are about a 10 min drive.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of the cottage was perfect for our active family. We spent countless hours fishing from the tinny boat, paddling around the lake and exploring all the nearby forest trails. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. Some basic updates and maintenance would be great but there was nothing that stopped a very relaxing, yet active, holiday.
