New Construction 2022 - Stunning Home, Beach Views & Great Location!

3 bedroom and 3 bath home with Ocean Views. Fabulous location within easy walking distance to the beach, Publix, shops, park, skate park, splash pad and restaurants. Some of our favorites are the BBQ house, OKI Coffee Shop, OKI Scoop Shop and 49th Street Bar and Grill. We are located one block from a public beach access. We have everything you could need in one spot!

Another benefit is free parking! Starting April 1st, the town will be charging $20 per day for beach parking. This home gives you beach access without any additional fees since you are just steps away from the ocean.

We decided to give a nod to one of our favorite college teams, the Appalachian State University Mountaineers, and bring our mountain love a little closer to the ocean. The name of our home is "NEER the SeA", with the "A" in traditional AppState fashion. Both of my parents are from Boone, and both attended AppState. My Mother was a huge AppState fan and a lover of Oak Island, so my son and I decided that the name of the home was the perfect tribute to her and her legacy.

There is a king bed located in first master bedroom, a queen bed in the second master bedroom and two sets of full bunk beds in third bedroom. Also, the hallway includes triple twin bunk beds. You can sleep 15 of you and your closest friends.

House is located on the second street back from the beach with fantastic beach views from your huge covered porch. We provide two beach wagons for carrying all of your essential beach belongings. You will have use of beach chairs and a cooler, and a canopy. For fun, there are corn hole boards and a variety of beach or yard games.

You will have tons of outdoor living space in this home with the 9 ft X 30 ft covered deck for enjoying the beautiful Oak Island sunrises and sunsets. Also, with the covered area you can still enjoy the ocean views, even if it rains. There is a spacious yard for play and space for parking with 4 cars limit. All inside linens are included, but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is also a full size washer and dryer on site so you can head back home with clean clothes.

Unfortunately, there are absolutely NO PETS or ANIMALS and NO SMOKING. I have ADA accommodations for a disability that does not allow me to be in proximity with any fur or feathers, even those that are deemed hypoallergenic. I live in this home as well, so no animals are allowed in either space.

Weekly rentals run Saturday to Saturday. Between June and mid-September, we only offer weekly rentals unless otherwise specified. Events may be allowed. Please contact me for more information.

Check-in is at 4pm EDT. Check-out is at 10am EDT.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation on Oak Island. The beach house was lovely, spacious, had beautiful ocean views and a very short walk to the shore. It was perfect and met all our needs. I’d highly recommend it!!

Many things in the home were dated and not very clean. The host was awesome and showed great kindness but the home itself was not as expected. The bathrooms didn't provide privacy over windows and we found a ton of dirt and mold on the shower curtains. We even departed a day early because the stay wasn't comfortable.

Weekend getaway

We had so much fun with our stay at Oak Island. This beach house is a block away from the beach. So it was so convenient to have our meals at the house and go to the beach whenever we feel like it. Publix is also just 2 short blocks away.The beach house is beautifully appointed. We enjoyed the porch and the swings while bantering and telling stories. We enjoyed grilling at the back.

Oak Island- Best Location

We had a great stay at this property on Oak island! Walking distance to the beach, Publix and multiple restaurants. We stayed with two families of four and had a blast!!! Highly recommend!

Girls' Trip

This is our 3rd time at this location. We love the location - it's a block from the beach, a beautiful view of the beach, close proximity to many great restaurants & stores. We are planning to stay at this location again next year

Island get away

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was beautifully decorated, spacious for our family, conveniently located to the beach, shops, and stores, and owner had everything we could need! Super nice stay!

My family, my sister’s family, and my dad all met at Ne’er the Sea. It was absolutely gorgeous! Nicely decorated, comfy beds, comfy couch, short walk to the beach, tons of places close to eat, Publix right around the corner….what’s not to love?! We had a hard time leaving! Would definitely stay again!

A great place for our spring break getaway!

Such a comfy, spacious home to enjoy time with the family! The view of the ocean was really nice and proximity to public beach access was perfect - just a 5 minute walk and the host provided any needed beach related accessories. Lots of games available for the one bad weather day! We would definitely stay there again!!

Wonderful Home

Beautiful, clean and convenient

Our family had a wonderful time. The home is stunning and conveniently located to everything. The house has so many items that our children enjoyed. They loved the bunk beds and we loved the view of the ocean and the quick walk to the sand.

Amazing!

Our stay was AMAZING! Neer the Sea had everything we needed and wanted! This house is beautiful and close to all of the good spots (Publix, OKI doughnuts, Bob’s Dogs, and the beach). The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and cookware so you’ll have everything you need to prepare a great meal.

Amazing HOUSE and LOCATION

This beach rental is located perfectly on the island. You could walk to the beach, Publix, coffee shop and a restaurant!! We loved it. Every Friday night there is a FREE concert from 6:30-8:30 at the end of the street in the park! Again, you can walk to it! Love this property! Well stocked and VERY clean!

Can you give more than 5 ⭐️?

We couldn’t have found a better rental! The location was perfect… a super easy/short walk to the beach, Publix, restaurants, coffee shop, donuts, and the park! The property was very clean and well equipped, there were tons of games for kids, the communication from booking to checkout was great. Susan was a joy to work with for our trip and we can’t wait to go back!

Perfect Beach Home

We enjoyed the most wonderful stay at this home in June of 2023. The home was extremely clean and had everything we could possibly need. The location of this house was the most convenient of any we have stayed. A short 3 minute walk to the beach, a less than 5 minute walk to Publix, coffee shop, BBQ House, and many other locations. Susan was most helpful with any questions we had. We can't wait to come back and stay again!

Perfect location and such a beautiful home

We had a wonderful stay with everything we needed close by. The beach is so close that we could head out and enjoy between showers. We easily walked to the pier for a quick bite to eat. We enjoyed biking, eating out and the short walk to Publix for take out. The home is beautiful! The covered decks and swings were so comfy as was the couch. Wish we could have stayed even longer. You will be so happy you chose to be Neer the SeA.

What an incredible place!

Susan has a wonderful place that we cannot say enough about. The balcony alone was such a relaxing place, with a drink of course, after a long day on the beach. The 3 level bunk was a hit with the kids! Also a very clean place. Our host Susan was very prompt and would let us know if the internet was out or if she dropped off extra beach wagons/chairs. A block walk to the beach was so convenient! Overall, a very wonderful stay and would definitely do it again! Thank you Susan!

Beautiful Christmas Escape

What a lovely time my family and I had at Oak Island! We came for a post Christmas escape and had an absolute blast and got some much needed R & R. A beautiful property, well equipped kitchen, lovely views! My boys loved the bunks. Comfy mattresses! The list of things go on and on! I highly recommend a beach visit in the winter.

Oak Island

What a comfortable and beautiful place! It was truly a home away from home. We couldn’t asked for a better place to stay! The house is very upscale and feels brand new. Everything in the house is brand new and extremely clean as well. Beside the comfort it was also convenient to shopping, dining, beach and everything that a family could ask for. Susan was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a pleasurable stay. I highly recommend her place to anyone who’s looking to stay in Oak Island.

Welcome to our home! We hope you love Oak Island as much as we do. It has become one of our favorite destination spots over the past 10 years. I am a single mom and previously a women and children's nurse. Currently, I teach nursing at Appalachian State University.
