The Cape House is warm and cozy, complete with tasteful up to date furnishings and a newly remodeled living room and kitchen with granite counter-tops and all new stainless steel appliances. Your whole family will enjoy the quality time playing in the salt water swimming pool which is open during summer months. There is a beautiful grape arbor and wild blackberries in the dunes along the front of the property to be enjoyed. Best of all, you're just a short stroll (down Rock Lane) to a beautiful non-bulk headed (unobstructed), sandy beach.

Additionally, there is no public or on street parking and therefore the number of beachgoers is generally limited to only homeowners or rental guests. The beach is wide and there is lots of room to spread out as well.

Please tell us a little about yourselves when requesting booking.

* Pool season Mid May to September 30th. (pool open earlier if weather favorable and not heated)
*When pre-booking, please be aware local taxes are no longer being included in the total rental amount shown by VRBO
* Pillows, blankets and comforters are provided.
* a 40 dollar charge will be added for Linens (bed sheets, pillowcases and bath and beach towels)
* Minimum age requirement to rent 27 **
* Base rate is a Off season rate from Mid October to 3 week of May**

The house was clean and a perfect size for my family of 5 - including my dog. The balcony and pool were great amenities, but we didnā€™t use the pool because it was cold and stormed most of the week. Someone came by twice during the week to clean the pool, which was nice in case we wanted to use it. The front yard was fenced in and great for the dog. It was nice to see people walking around the neighborhood for exercise - it made me feel like we were in a safe area. We drove into Pungo and Red Mill neighborhoods for grocery and found tasty restaurants everyday - about a 15 min drive. The hosts were communicative and answered my questions. I recommend booking linen and towel service with them - the towels were soft and great quality. My family and I enjoyed staying here and would book with the hosts again.

We really enjoyed staying at the Cape House. Unfortunately the weather was bad most of the days we were there so we spent a lot more time in the house then we had planned. It was cozy and welcoming. The beach was a close easy walk. I will say I was very surprised by how much traffic there was since itā€™s on the main road, you can hear cars driving by at all hours. Thereā€™s a few small stores/shops you can easily get to. The pool was nice and fenced in and the yard area is separate and fenced in which was good with a toddler.

Owners replied promptly with every question and concern we had house is very clean and cozy we did have issues with flies it would be nice to have screens on the doors so you can keep open and experience the ocean breeze Pool is not heated so unfortunately the water was too cold even though the outside temps were very warm house is well stocked with kitchen supplies we payed extra for towels and sheets so we didnā€™t have to bring them very close to path to beach we would definitely recommend this house owners very accommodating

Amazing house perfect for the 5 of us. Ownerā€™s were quick to respond to any text I sent.The trees do drop a lot of leaves into the pool at this time of year. My suggestion is maybe have your pool person come more than once a week.Other than that it was a great vacation.Kitchen had everything we needed and some spices as well. Just a really nice place.Neighborhood was quiet. Quick walk to the beach.

Nice house at a convenient location

Everything about the property was as described and we had good communication with the owners. The addition of beach towels and linens was very convenient. I can't really think of any negatives that we had about this day.

Overall, a good stay and a perfect location to the beach. The pool deck is in need of some TLC, and a lot of the outlets inside don't work. The owners were highly responsive in rectifying a few issues.

Cape house

We had a wonderful time and the house was perfect for us. We were able to have one family on first floor and other family on second. The pool was great, the pool cleaner came on Saturday afternoon and cleaned t he pool doing a great job. I left a beach chair because it didnā€™t work for me and I thought someone would use it. It is too heavy. We were all sad to leave. Thank you for the pet refund.

Wonderful house, even better property!

This is a really amazing place! The pool, the fenced in yard, the proximity to the beach...all were outstanding. We had 4 small children and really appreciated the short walk to the beach. The house was clean and had lots of nice new appliances and a plethora or chairs all around. Just all around a great place, would love to stay here again.

Canā€™t beat the location

The biggest selling point of the Cape House is the location. A short walk to the beach and the neighborhood doesnā€™t feel touristy at all. The house itself isnā€™t very big, so if youā€™re looking for a big living room for the whole family to hang out, you might be a little cramped. We had 4 adults and 2 children under 3 years old and it was tight. However, the kitchen table can seat 8 and would be great for board games. The bedrooms were a little small but comfortable and the full size washer and dryer was great to have. Lastly, having 2 bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, was a nice element of the house.Pay attention to the sheets/ towels information in the house description. We did not use the linen service but we did bring our own and faired fine. The house has comforters and pillows, but no sheets or towels.My biggest issue with the Cape House was the outside. Unfortunately, it was a little too cold during our stay to swim but the pool looked nice and new. However, the rest of the pool area left little to be desired. The seating was mostly on the deck and we didnā€™t feel comfortable moving it downstairs. The bar/ grilling area was non existent and looked old. Even when the weather was nice, we didnā€™t spend any of our time there. It needs some TLC to become a space I would want to hang out in. If the owners could fix that area up, the Cape House would be an awesome gem.

Well appointed cape

Great for what we needed and was great to be able to bring out dog along, very convenient and great location. The only issue was that the grill was dirty when we arrived and really needs to be replaced. It is ready to fall apart. Otherwise everything else was fantastic.
