Dolphins Plus is just half a block away if you want to swim with dolphins, and Jacobs Aquatic Center plus great local restaurants like Key Largo Fisheries, Pilot House, and High Tide are all an easy walk. Kick back, take it slow.

Boating, fishing and Ocean Access

The Atlantic Ocean can be reached by boat via the bridge near the Dolphin Sanctuary. The bridge offers approximately 8 feet of vertical clearance at high tide and 10.3 feet at low tide. Clearance may fluctuate with tidal conditions and lunar phases, including new and full moons. Please confirm the available clearance and your boat’s dimensions before passing beneath the bridge.

An additional route to the Atlantic passes through the mangroves. This passage is accessible only at high tide, and boaters must assess water depth and conditions to determine whether it is suitable for their vessel. Use of this route is at your own risk and discretion.
