Luxury Ranch Stay - Horse and Cattle

Be our guest on 40 private and fully gated acres. From all windows of the house you can watch 2 horses and cattle grazing through the meadow. The evening sunsets are magical with deer & turkeys wandering through. Relax under the stars at our fire pit (all supplies provided). Let your kids run wild with water guns & a water fall pond to refill at! Located right off HWY 16 makes you only 10 minutes to downtown Rapid City and 20 minutes to Mt. Rushmore!

The cattle are on the property May-September.

The horses are on the property year round. They are working horses and may be off the property during your stay.

Whether in Rapid City for work or play you will love our guesthouse. Located on 40 private acres, settled in the heart of the Black Hills, and less than 10 minutes to downtown Rapid City.

Weā€™ve intentionally stocked the house to meet extended stay needs. If thereā€™s something we donā€™t have just ask!

The kitchen offers everything for dining in plus sā€™mores supplies for nights under the stars at the firepit. Youā€™ll find a variety of board and card games to spend quality time together. Kids have said the water guns are their favorite part. This guesthouse isnā€™t your average stay.

The living room offers a built-in fire place, TV, and sleeper couch. The bedroom offers an attached bathroom, walk-in closet and laundry room. In the bathroom we have soap, shampoo, and conditioner for your convenience. We offer organic bamboo bed sheets and organic cotton towels.

There is both a washer and dryer and we provide detergent, bleach, and softener during your stay.

The horses are on the property year round. Sometimes they are off the property on riding day/weekend trips. If the horses will not be present during your stay I will communicate that with you in advance.

The attached single stall garage is yours to use for parking - which is crucial for summer hail storms.

We live in the main house on the property. We are available for any need that might arise.

Moon meadows is a quiet neighborhood just outside Rapid City. Itā€™s situated conveniently next to HWY 16 which takes you directly to all the Black Hills attractions.

Vacation is supposed to be relaxing, fun, and a time to create special memories with those you love. That's why we do not include a laundry list of cleaning requirements before you leave. Our desire is that you have a refreshing stay and those memories continue to bring you joy for years to come.

If you need any kid/baby items please let us know, so we can have those ready for your stay.

We have horses and cows on the property. Please do not cross the cattle guard.

The host was very welcoming and prompt with responding to messages. The house is a great stay with many comfortable amenities. There were quite a few spices avaliable, smores supplies, and a well stocked keurig.The space was comfortable and i enjoyed the bed

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. This property is incredibly inviting in a picturesque setting. Itā€™s decorated with lovely touches of the west and was fully stocked with most anything youā€™d want or need. It was the perfect retreat after taking in all the sites the area has to offer. We enjoyed all the little touches Lana included and being able to find comfort in visiting with the horses and pets.

Perfect Romantic Getaway

This luxurious ranch setting is amazing destination for a romantic getaway. Sunsets falling across the rolling pastures, horses just outside your door, the gourmet kitchen, and a beautifully appointed master suite -- these are just a few of the amazing features of this property. Highly recommend!

The house is very inviting and comfortable. The house is fully stocked including little treats from the owner. I would highly recommend this house for any couple who wants to enjoy a getaway and have all of the comforts of home.

Best VRBO Ever

First, the property was perfectly located for touring Custer, Crazy Horse, Mt Rushmore & Badlands. At the same time, it was convenient to amenities of Rapid City. Second, the home was new, clean and very, very tastefully decorated. No need was overlooked. The setting was bucolic and peaceful, probiding a respite after touring all day. Weā€™ve stayed at home-aways for ladt 10 yrs in many states. This one was The Best!

Our Home Away from Home

You want to stay HERE! We felt at home as soon as we walked through the front door! Everything was exactly as it is pictured. The entire space is decorated beautifully and has every possible amenity you could want or need. Having the washer and dryer allowed us to bring just carry-on bags as we were able to do laundry at the house. The convenient yet quiet location is perfect for exploring Rapid City, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Devil's Tower, Custer State Park, The Badlands and so much more! If I could build my dream vacation space, this would be it. Comfortable, cozy, and charming. We loved it! Why stay in a hotel when you can have all the comforts of home on your vacation? If I could give it ten stars, I would. Thanks, Lana for great communication and ease of check-in and out.

Fantastic property with convenient location

This property is a great location to quickly get anywhere in the hills and surrounding areas. Itā€™s extremely clean and well taken care of. Bed is very comfortable and provided a great nights rest. We loved having the garage connected right to the house. We would definitely book here again in the future!

Relaxing weekend after college graduation

The property was fantastic - proximity to Rapid City was perfect, the home was very clean, and this was a super relaxing stay after a busy semester. We loved the ā€œmovie nightā€ candy stash and the beautiful fireplace the most! For a very cold week in SD, we were super cozy in this rental (bed was so comfy too!). I would suggest that only 2 adults sleep comfortably, but otherwise an awesome stay. The horses outside welcomed us every morning and the warm parking stall for our vehicle, gated property, and modern security system for the house made us feel safe during our visit. We would love to stay again in the summer when the weather is nice and we can do more traveling in the hills! The great location between Rapid City and the tourist attractions in the Black Hills will be perfect for summer traveling too!
