Bell Cottage offers many indoor & outdoor spaces on the secluded property perfect for enjoying day & night. Only 5 minutes from beaches, golf, hiking trails. Short walk to State Street entertainment, dining & shopping. Easy access to highways 101, 154 & 192 to Central Coast & Santa Ynez for great biking and wine tasting. Send inquiries and questions!
More details…Extremely private, large, secluded property offers many spaces to dine, play, read, relax, entertain & enjoy. Indoor/outdoor living at its best. Lights are strung throughout the yard for ambiance and evening lighting. Help yourself to fruit growing on the property.
The spacious kitchen is completely equipped with utensils, cookware, baking pans, silverware, spices, organic coffee, and cooking oils. Cuisinart, coffee pot, microwave, toaster, VitaMix, KitchenAid mixer, pots & pans are available for your use. Kitchen island seating opens to a larger dining area. The chef's kitchen and open, flowing floorplan throughout create a great space for entertaining.
The 3 bedroom home is configured with 2 queen-sized beds + 1 twin bed. 4 smart TVs - in every room. There is a large bathroom with a tub/shower, the second full bath includes a walk-in shower, and a charming half bath with ample space for storage. Fresh linens are provided. Washer and drier are inside the residence.
Relax in a comfortable living room with a gas log fireplace, central heating, and air conditioning.
Enjoy the light-filled creative space or office with a desk.
BELL COTTAGE is located in one of the most desirable areas in town. It is secluded, yet within walking distance to upper State Street, Whole Foods, restaurants, markets, coffee shops, shopping galore, wine tasting, renting electric bicycles to explore the city - so much to do, you just may need to extend your stay! Only 5 minutes away are beautiful beaches and many hiking trails. Easy access to the Central Coast & Santa Ynez for more adventures and wine tasting.
For the 4 TVs, you can easily stream from your Netflix, AmazonPrime, Hulu Live or your other accounts.
Utilities and a weekly gardener are included.
There is room in the driveway for three cars and available street parking, should you need additional space.
Bell Cottage is set up for 30 day plus stays. Long term stays are welcome!

Graduation weekend was awesome

We had a wonderful time at the property. It made for a great home base while it was busy around town. Lovely property with a fantastic back yard. Would be great for a long stay so understandable its going for 30 day minimum in the future.

Bell Cottage

Entirely enjoyable, lovely cottage with lots of room and splendid aesthetics! Centrally located in SB within easy reach of downtown and beaches and beyond. Absolutely spotless and every detail attended to. Plenty of room for overnight guests and entertaining; great kitchen and supplies. Jacalyn a wonderful host. We loved our stay.

Spectacular Property

We had an amazing stay at Bell Cottage. The cottage itself was beautifully decorated, well-organized, and spotless. The back yard was beautiful and we enjoyed spending time with the chickens. Jacalyn was a fantastic host - she really has thought of everything and communicates so well. My family can't wait to stay again on our next trip to Santa Barbara.

Amazing spot!

I thoroughly enjoyed this place! Not only was it beautifully decorated, they thought of everything! From providing thorough information, labeling things with directions where needed, and just having things you would need when staying away from home, it was so thoughtfully put together. Jacalyn, the host, was so helpful and was a great communicator. And the chickens were such a fun added bonus! Love this property and can’t wait to come again!

Perfect girls getaway

Bell Cottage was the perfect spot for our weekend away. It’s was beautiful, clean, well-stocked, and an easy location to get to / from downtown as well as the airport. The extras that stood out included bottled waters, chocolates, wine, and lettuce to feed the adorable chickens! The backyard is incredible and perfect for relaxing with coffee or a glass of wine with lots of seating areas. The beds are very comfortable and there were extra blankets available.Jacalyn was exceptionally kind and communicative. Everything for check-in / check-out was so easy and all 3 of us are determined to return! Thank you!!

Gorgeous home!

This house is absolutely beautiful! The decor and design elements make you feel really special. My children, husband and I felt very comfortable here. Jacalyn is easy to communicate with and even had toys, books and games for my kids! There was even a “art table” where my daughters sat and colored for hours. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are high end. The outside area is a lovely oasis to let the kids run around while we had a glass of wine. The hens were probably our favorite part!! They are so cute and so fun to feed. My girls absolutely loved them. I would definitely recommend this house! We will be back!

Bell Cottage Retreat

We were here for three months and enjoyed every minute. This cottage experience exceeded every expectation. The host was very responsive and she ensured that our stay was a good experience. The cottage is small but comfortable and beautifully decorated for 2 adult couples and 2 kids, or six really good friends. The garden is amazing with an abundance of roses, citrus trees, outdoor seating and of course, the beautiful chickens. I was so happy to learn about chickens and be able to feed them treats and enjoy their chatter. The owner maintained the responsibility for their care but we got to enjoy them and their eggs. Our friends came to visit us and see the cottage that we were raving about and meet the chickens (I raved about the chickens too). This house is in a wonderful location if you like golf, lawn bowling, local parks and/or good food. The neighborhood is walkable and walking to dinner or a coffee shop is very doable. But, even with all of this local activity, the neighborhood is very quiet. The beach is a quick 15 minute drive away and there is easy access to highways 101, 154 and 192 for adventuring into the Santa Ynez Valley and the central coast. My husband and I have stayed in three different homes in three different Santa Barbara neighborhoods in the past year just to see what living in Santa Barbara is like. This cottage is our favorite and we hope to be back.

Excellent! Better than described.

We usually don't rent something that has no reviews but this newer listing was something we tried anyway. Good decision. We rented the home for a week. The neighborhood was super quiet, peaceful and very private. House was impeccable. Clean and made to feel like a home away from home. It was spotless but felt comfortable and not stuffy. Felt like home right away. Excellent location that felt private but was just a few minutes walk or drive to anything The house was stocked with everything and anything you would need. You could see the home has been recently remodeled and has a beautiful kitchen also with upscale appliances. The backyard was fantastic. Tons of places to hang out and we loved the chickens. They were completely quiet and very friendly. We enjoyed getting to know them and feed them. Also had great lighting for outdoor living. The owner responded quickly if we had a question. If you rent this home, please take care of it so others can enjoy the care that the owner took to provide a home that contained furnishings and decorations that she obviously hand-picked. We cannot think of any negative issues at all. A great positive experience. Thanks, Jacalyn!

An absolute gem - nothing short of amazing!!

My girlfriends and I booked Bell Cottage for a semi-last minute trip to SB for some rest, relaxation, and life celebrations! When we saw the photos of Bell Cottage we knew it was perfect for our trip. Jacalyn was so kind and helpful in getting the property booked for us and was in constant communication during check-in and check-out to ensure we knew when the property would be available and that we would have everything we would need. The property was EVEN MORE beautiful than in the pictures!! Everything was completely clean and spotless and we felt like we had walked into a beautiful retreat oasis the minute we stepped foot into the house. Everything had been thought of - every drawer and cabinet marked with easy-to-find utensils and cooking supplies, lovely welcome notes and instructions, walk-through videos of the backyard, and where to find lightswitches and chair coverings. The MOST COMFORTABLE beds and cozy towels you will find at any rental property anywhere (and we've stayed at lots!!). The backyard was so quiet and cozy with comfortable spots to sit with a glass of wine or coffee for breakfast and the lovely chicken coop with friendly chickens just topped everything off!! The owner even left extra treats for us to feed the chickens and little chicken "profiles" for us to get to know the "girls" as we called them! The location was perfectly central as well - just a couple of blocks from upper State Street, 10 minutes from the heart of downtown, 10 minutes from UCSB, and 15 minutes from Montecito. We LOVED staying at Bell Cottage and didn't want to leave! It was abundantly clear that lots of love and care have gone into this property and we can't want to come back and stay again soon!

Amazing host and beautiful property!

Jacalyn was so warm and welcoming when we arrived. Her home is even more beautiful in person. It was perfect for the four of us. Can’t recommend it enough. We will definitely be back!

Sarah and family are 5 Star guests! They have great communication and they left the home spotless - they even offered to help clean the sheets! I welcome them back any time!
